I paid but don't have any paperwork such as invoice or warranty info. New unit makes noise. Cutoff switch is bypassed. Thermostat is set at 78 but unit cools to 73 or less without cutting off

I signed-up for the maintenance plan with NSG (Summer and Winter preventative maintenance) and have had two appointments so far. They are professional, prompt, communicate well, and do good work.

Juan is great to work with and willing to answer my questions help me understand everything going on with my system.

I get notices when they are on the way, and they reliably show up for appointments when scheduled.

Update as of August 2025: Still happy.

The AC Technician Juan took great care in educating us on the root cause of the operating errors we were making, and with great integrity assured us there was nothing wrong with our system and only minor future improvements that can be made if and only if required at a later date!

NSG is the reason you get a 2nd opinion. And not for the good reason.

I hope my poor experience was due to circumstance but it's odd that I found multiple other local repair shops with available parts when supposedly no one has them and everything is special order now. If you actually take the time to inspect and diagnose and come to the conclusion that the unit's time is up, I might actually listen to you when you try and push the $10k overhaul package. Taking one look at a wobbling unit and saying "oh gosh, that thing's done for!" (paraphrasing) is my job and not one of a respectable technician who actually wants to help the customer, not take advantage of their situation, and not waste their time and energy. And just FYI, the other place found the issue was not only a simple fix but also had the fan and motor replaced in less than 24 hours.

The other reviews on here make it seem like the company knows what they are doing so hopefully it was just an isolated incident!

I absolutely LOVE NSG. We have been with NSG for 5 years now and I wouldn't go to any other company. Faith (who answers the phone) always helps me out. Juan (Tech) explains everything, very efficient and professional. Nick (Big Boss) even puts in the work as well. They really do put the customers first and try and help out in anyway that they can.

On Wednesday night my A/C and we called Juan returned my call within minutes and was at my house. We tried replacing the filter and it cooled down low enough that we could sleep and then was out the next day and fixed it. Juan was very helpful and a asset to the company

Juan, Luis and Matthew installed our new AC system and did a fantastic job! Our "old" AC was only 3 years old and we had nothing but trouble with it since the beginning that was installed by Team Enoch. Come to find out they didn't put the new floor pan in and our old one was too small, which caused the coil to go out. The system kept turning off and they just said to turn breaker on and off. The last time I did that fire shot out of it. Juan and Lewis with NSG found wiring issues, along with other things. They fixed all the issues including new wiring. I would never use Team Enoch again. From now on I will always call NSG Heating & Air Specialists!!! The 1st 2 pictures are the old system. The 2nd 2 are the new system. What a difference!

My handyman installed a new Nest thermostat. He left with the installation incomplete. The next day I realized it would not switch from “cool” to “heat”. Called NSG. They came out the same day and quickly completed the installation.

I usually do not leave a review. We could not have asked for a better Experience. We only had 4 days to get a new Heat pump system in before we were leaving town and the cold was going to hit. Juan went out of his way to get us an appointment to have the installation. They came at 8:00 am sharp and the team stayed until 5:00 pm and got all 3 units installed and helped replace the Wifi thermostats and made sure they were working on our phones. We could not believe they got it done prior to us leaving and in one day! We are so grateful and blessed for the job Juan and his team performed. Also appreciated the owner, Nick and his wife stopped by to make sure everything was going OK.

Our air conditioner went out on Thursday and we just got it replaced today (Sunday). They were fast, easy to work with, and walked us through the entire process to ensure we were getting the system that made sense for us. Highly recommend and very satisfied

NSG is a top notch HVAC company. I had used them a few months back and they helped me diagnose the issues with my system. I opted to do the repairs myself on that occasion. This week I had my blower motor go out (for the second time) I decided to go ahead and replace my 20 year old system. NSG came out the following day and had the installation completed in no time. Nick and Maria, the Owner's both came to my home during the install, very nice and personable Folks. The install team were very professional and got the job completed promptly with no issues whatsoever. I highly recommend NSG for your HVAC needs.

Nick layed out the best system for our second unit including increasing the return air flow. The next day installation was not only quick, but easy and very professional. Second time to use NSG and we are happy and confident of their service.

Todd has came to my house twice this summer for two separate issues, both times he found the issue and walked me through the problem. Very very good at explaining the fix. Both times he referred me to my home owners insurance. Both times he refused to let me pay him for his work because “he didn’t fix anything”.

I will never call anybody else before calling Todd and will definitely recommend him to all my friends and family in the area!

Todd has been very responsive to service calls. I never had to wait any longer than a day for him to arrive and most times he was here within 4 hours or less. The team that installed the new air-conditioning unit were very professional and cleaned up thoroughly after the installation. I highly recommend these guys.

Todd came over and within 15 minutes he diagnosed and repaired my AC system. He was very nice and informed me of how to take care of my unit going forward. I would recommend him and use his services in the future. Thanks Todd!

Shoutout to Todd Huffman with Texas Discount Air!!! When it's 109 degrees out and your AC stops cooling ... who do you call? You call Texas Discount Air! We had an exterior unit installed in 2019 and Todd was great then and always great when you call. He was here on time and fixed the situation in less than 25 minutes. The best part is he remembers who you are and what he did the last time he was here. I can't say enough about how great Texas Discount Air is and how professional Todd is always. Blessings.
