I had Mr.Rooter out to install my Water Heater and they quoted me 1700 even with my own water heater purchase that I got from Home Depot. They then told me they needed a card to secure my spot and pay for the service fee but I wouldn't be charged until it was finished if I decided to go with them. They then charged me 500 dollars for a diagnostic fee and left mid "install". When I called the company they said didn't you read the contract? I said it was "a quote he wasn't supposed to start doing work, what was I charged for and why did he leave me with no water?" They actually left me in worse shape than before called them. He cut the water heater out left all the piping on the floor and disconnected the water. I know what you're thinking why not just turn the water back on? He took the control valve off so if I turn it on it will just GUSH water where the water heater is. They did this methodically too, she called me immediately after he gave me the quote, I answer and talk to her and while I'm talking to her he starts. I knew I heard the grinding and clicking of tools so I tell him to quit, he says but I've already made cuts I need to paid for that. Price breakdown she gave me over the phone?

1000 dollars to BRING OUR OWN WATER HEATER.
200 was for a permit from the city.
300 was for my piping
And 200 was for labor.

I don't know about you but I thought something was off there..

Edit: they tried emailing me saying they didn't turn off the water but they left it like this, if the water was on as they claim it would be gushing water from the pipe on the right.

A great big thank you to Mo of Mr. Rooter Plumbing. We had a plumbing emergency on a Saturday morning. Our regular plumber’s phone said to leave a message, they were closed and would return call on Monday. Called Mr Rooter. Mo showed up within the hour and fixed that problem. Ran camera to examine the sewer line. Very corroded . Had Mo and his crew redo sewer line. They did the job, then a cleanup crew restored the yard(filled up the holes and smoothed the lawn).
I recommend Mr Rooter to anyone needing plumbing service.

Tun came to my home to replace valves for my washer and dryer. He knew right away what was needed and took care of it. I will certainly use this business again. Thank you Mr. Rooter!

Ian is 5 star as always. House flooded and not o my did he find the problem, but he got the people I needed additionally to help me get my house back. Having your house flood is never a fun experience, but having a plumber like Ian you can trust, having Mr. Rooter be 24/7 and having connections with water damage companies etc. 10/10. 5 stars isn’t enough. Amazing company to work with. Showed up in an emergency situation on the weekend late at night. Tun was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and reassuring. He had our issue fixed in no time. I highly recommend.

They were able to come in 90 min. when an Angi top rated pro, didn't show. The job was completed by Mo expertly in a couple of hours that included a trip to Home Depot for parts. Mr. Rooter is highly recommended.
