Mike was great! Easy scheduling, showed up on time. Great service, communicated well and had a very positive attitude. Also, was good with my pets which is great for pet owners.

Here is the complaint I made directly to them:

When I called to schedule the appointment, I explained the issue in detail: the screw on the tank—and the rubber piece it sits on—were loose. At no point was I told that this was “too small” of an issue to repair or could not be handled for any reason.

Instead, you sent a technician who immediately recommended replacing the entire interior of the toilet (which is relatively new) and pulling the seal, for approximately $400. When I asked why he could not simply repair the actual issue I described, he stated that your company “could not warranty that repair” which makes little sense to me. I even offered to have the invoice reflect that no warranty would apply, and that if the repair did not resolve the problem, I would have you return. However, the technician after calling his "manager" still refused to perform the basic repair and insisted on the more expensive service.

From my perspective, this appears to be an attempt to upsell an unnecessary repair while declining to address the minor issue I requested at the time I made the appointment.

The situation leaves me with two unreasonable options: either pay $400 for work I do not need, or decline and still owe an $85 fee for no service performed for the service I called you for in the first place. This is unacceptable. A total racket.

I have already contacted another plumber who confirmed they can fix the issue without any problem. I contacted a 2nd plumber and asked the exact same question, again, no problem.

I will be leaving a review regarding this experience. I am considering pursuing the matter in small claims court because this, to me, is a deceptive business practice, whether intentional or not.

Mistakes do not become errors, unless you fail to correct them.

Came out within 2 hours. Very thorough and explained all aspects of the work. Called them to pressure hose outdoor drains and they identified root issues in pipework. Very fair price for more than 2 hours work. Professional and courteous. Would recommend.

We used Lex's recently for the first time and had a great experience. Jimmy came to our house and diagnosed the issue quickly. He worked to line out crews to perform the necessary repairs as quickly as possible. While the work did require them to dig a large hole in my front yard they cleaned up after themselves and you could barely tell they were here. I highly recommend Lex's plumbing and especially Jimmy.

Lex's plumbing has taken care of our family for years. They're efficient, honest, and care about doing a good job. As an architect, I can say I would highly recommend Lex for whatever plumbing needs you might have.

The City shut off my water because of a broken pipe in my back yard during the ice storm. Jimmie came promptly -even before the estimated time. He fixed the pipe, plus he showed me how to thaw 2 frozen pipes in my bathroom. They are now running w/o a problem. He answered all my questions, and turned my water back on before leaving. I found Lex's Plumbing through Google, and I definitely found the best service. I highly reccommend them.

Had Lex's Plumbing come out to unclog our kitchen sink drain line. $440 later it seemed that the clog was gone but they wouldn't check their work with a camera unless I paid an additional $100+. In less than 24 hours the sink was backing up again. Called Lex's and the only thing they could offer was 10% off of an additional $1000 service - no warranty or guarantee on any of their work. Roto Rooter came out and snaked the drain and it has been working ever since...Roto Rooter also offers a 6 month warranty on their work and if it backs up again will come re-snake it for free. Lex's staff is nice enough but unfortunately the work is sub-par and they don't stand behind it.

Service was scheduled on the same day which was great. Plummer arrived on time (actually a few minutes early) and kept me notified, via text, of his arrival. Great service, great price, for the work, and problem was fixed in first visit. Water was not draining from sink and backing up to dishwasher. Plummer had to use an extended electrical "snake" to fix the problem. Took him about two hours to complete the job. Hence, the price was very reasonable.

The guys were able to clear the sewer line and get everything back in working order. They were very professional while working inside, cleaned the floor on their way out as not to leave a mess. All services were explained up front so there were no surprises at invoice time.

Sean Vance installed a new Rinnai Tankless Water Heater (Residential) in my garage today and he did an outstanding job. As every job has its challenges, so did this installation have its own unique requirements. With Sean technical aptitude, he resolved any problems that came his way in a timely professional manner and his Customer service was beyond reproach. I highly recommend Lex’s Plumbing.

I am a local Realtor and have used Lex’s Plumbing for quite a few of my clients over the years. When I arrived at one of my vacant listings yesterday there was a strong gas smell. I immediately called the team at Lex and they had a tech there first thing this morning to help me get it taken care of. The plumber, Mike Young, was very communicative from the moment he left the office on his way to my location, through the repair process and provided me with a fantastic report of the repair immediately upon completion. Highly recommended this company and their speed and communication are top notch!

Jimmie & Shay were very personable. Each step of the job was explained in depth and was understood. We appreciate Jimmie being so informative about what was being done and showing us the pipe that had busted. We actually enjoyed them and their the good work that was completed. On this particular day, Jimmie came out to plumb a gas line for our new range. He was on time, professional, and extremely helpful. I 100% recommended Lex’s plumbing for any work you might need

Jimmie was awesome. He explained all the options for our specific issue and did the work in a timely manner. Jimmie was very friendly and made sure I was happy before he left. We will definitely contact Jimmie for future work.

Sean Vance with Lex’s Plumbing was punctual, knowledgeable, and very professional from start to finish. He took the time to thoroughly explain the issues and walked me through the options, which I really appreciated. His communication and attention to detail made the whole process stress-free. I would definitely recommend Sean and Lex’s Plumbing to anyone needing reliable, honest plumbing service.

Lionel is great!! He spent lots of extra time and tools to clear a hard to find a clog in my French drain that almost flooded my house.
He successfully replaced a garbage disposal, replacing one that lasted just a few months from another non-Lex’s installation.

He’s knowledgeable and courteous and trustworthy as are other Lex’s staff.

Having an older home, I’ve had other plumbers break the old plumbing when trying to fix a simple drip, etc. I can count on Lex’s to fix and not break.

Even though Lex’s might be pricier than other plumbers, the quality of work and trust that they will successfully complete the job justifies their pricing, in my opinion.

The scheduling process was smooth, and Lionel, the technician, was friendly and highly competent. Due to the size of the job, I obtained several quotes. Ultimately, I chose another licensed company because their price offered significant savings. The work is complete, and I am very satisfied with the results. While this company seems reputable, I was able to save a substantial amount by selecting a different provider.

We experienced a gas leak and called Lex’s for service. It was after hours and a Technician, Lionel, reached out and offered to arrive the next morning at 7:00am in order to complete an inspection for permit with the city and return service same day. Lionel was excellent! He also coordinated an earlier permit inspection with the city so that service could be restored before the weekend. Great experience and great Technician!

I would absolutely not recommend hiring this company, especially for work in older homes. A tub waste and overflow repair in our 1950s house resulted in significant damage and ultimately forced a full tub and tile replacement.

No structural issues were identified prior to work beginning and the only risk disclosed in advance was potential cosmetic chipping, which I understood. I had another estimate prior to Lex's Plumbing who also did not identify any issues. During removal of the tub shoe using a power tool, the tub was damaged and later attributed to pre-existing corrosion.

Afterward, I consulted multiple master plumbers and repair professionals (due to the extensive work necessary to repair), all of whom stated that this type of damage is far more consistent with forceful removal than with a hidden defect alone. The outcome was weeks of disruption and many thousands of dollars in required repairs, with original 1950s materials lost because they could not be matched.

I requested a refund for the unsuccessful repair and a sewer camera inspection I could not move forward on due to a loss of trust. No refund was offered. While communication was professional, I certainly do not trust their professional judgment and would not use them again. This experience showed a serious lack of judgment and accountability, and I would strongly caution anyone considering hiring them.

Very satisfied with the service! Mike came out promptly, was professional, explained everything that was needed, and did a great job at a very fair rate. We'll be calling them again for any future plumbing needs.

Lionel has come to our house for several different things. He has always been extremely knowledgeable, effective and efficient. I don’t have to worry about the quality of his work or price gauging. I’m thankful to have found a reliable plumbing company.
