I have spent 150k on solar panels and my electric bill has no changed. No one at Freedom Solar can tell me why. I strongly recommend you do not use them.

We had a great experience with Freedom Solar and Gene Smith. From the initial consultation to final installation, everything was smooth. Communication was great. Highly recommended.

This company are dubious and prey on their customers. Try changing your roof and they will charge you $350/ panel to deinstall and reinstall panels even when they hold warranties to the solar panels.
They would get a 0 star if it was available. Stay far away from them to avoid future nightmares.

Gene was so helpful! My husband had so many doubts because of the initial costs. Gene was able to completely explain how it all worked. He stayed in contact after to make sure we were satisfied. Fully prepared, honest and able to answer everything.

From initial consult to a year after install (so far): Thorough, professional, easy to monitor. Have lost power multiple times since installed, but wouldn't know except we get a notification! Overall--the perfect backup for Texas ERCOT. We have not had any servicing yet, but I'm sure that will be amazing as well.

My solar panels don't work for 6 months, and I contacted with customer service so many times, it still doesn't work. I am so regretting tonight choose your company. I really need to hire the attorney and working on canceling the contract since I paid the solar panels for nothing.

John perfectly used his HVAC expertise, took measurements and calculated a reasonable estimate to replace one of my old conventional HVAC units with a Daikin heat pump system.

The Electrician, Marc, did an excellent job of reviewing the site to ensure we were in code compliance. His work was thorough and efficient and communication was great. The solar panel installation crew was also very good. They showed up on time, in fact, early, And finished the project ahead of time. They cleaned up when they were finished. Still awaiting permission to operate, but the entire installation and electrical process went flawlessly.

I just purchased my solar panels and installed them three months ago. Now, i'm stuck with a high electric and solar panel bill. I was told that my only bill would be for the equipment, and my electric bill would be eliminated due to the customized equipment installation. I waa led to believe that my panel bill would be reduced due to tax incentives. It is not that simple and now I'm very afraid that I have been scammed as I have been reading on solar power companies.

My project manager Mr. Betz, has been outstanding. He's kept my wife and I informed thoughout the whole proccess. I just got my roof done and it looks great! Scheduled the solar panels to come on in a week.

The installation went well but the quality control was lacking. City inspector found loose wires at meter box. The final inspection took two weeks longer than it had to due you guys not requesting the inspection. I asked why and was told it was due to working through other systems ahead of mine. Poor planning on your part cost me 2 extra weeks that could have been avoided.
When the inspection was completed and system turned on, one panel did not work. I refused final payment until corrected. It took several weeks before you sent techs out to discover it was never plugged in. Quality control again.
I paid final payment that day expecting final paperwork within a couple of days. 3 weeks later I inquired where it was and I just received it.
I was sold on my system providing 80% of my electrical needs based on your sales staff estimates. Not even close.

So my final review of the process is to say the least was negative.
I hope I never need service as I don’t have high hopes of quick and reliable service from you guys.

Sunpower solar is Great system, probably the best one in the market, and the sales person (Nate Ferreira) and the distributor, freedom solar were honorable. It was difficult some times to communicate with the technical department but at the end they came thru with what was promised. I am satisfied and I am looking for to add more panels to achieve even more savings while I do my small part to save the planet. On sunny days, I do not use power from the grid and in general the system produces 70% production of the total needed in a given month. I am waiting for the summer months to assess further. John G did a great job during his visit. He showed up on time and explained everything thoroughly to both my husband and I.

We started this project with Freedom Solar back in July of 2022 and our sales rep Haley, was extremely knowledgeable. She explained the difference in panels, micro-inverters, energy costs and recommend the best buy back providers. Due to COVID we had our system install last week and there was Haley walking us through the process and flipping the switch. We had 26 of their newest panels installed generating 11 kWh. Can't speak of the system yet as it's been raining, but it looks good and no leaks so far, thanks to Jeremy our installer and his crew.

I had a first time interaction with what I believe was either a contractor or a sales representative of Freedom Solar.
There is a lot of room for improvement
I ask the guy to work with me so I can evaluate my options and consider the installation of solar panels on my roof. This was my first time exposure to Freedom Solar. The guy was uncooperative and in short he said, that I had to incur an expense of over a thousand dolars and remove a tree in my property for them to provide an first time estimate so I could evaluate the viability of installing solar panels on my home. I made it clear I was willing to remove the tree but I needed some understanding of the viability and how profitable this investment would be..... He in esence said remove the tree and then we may provide an estimate.

Quality installation. Quicker than the advertised timeline. And electrical production is better than the design plan! Hunter White was exceptional and guided me through every step of the design and execution.

From the very first call to the completion of our solar installation project, Silvana and the entire Freedom Solar team were incredibly patient, helpful, and responsive. I would highly recommend Freedom Solar to anyone considering solar energy.

I am very please with Freedom Solar. I have a problem with my Tesla Powerwall and contacted Freedom for support. Within a few hours they reached out to me and told me I was in their queue. You can't ask for a quicker response. Hopefully, they'll be able to develop a fix as quickly. The installation team was professional and installed and commissioned my original system within one day. Kudos to them.

I am amending my rating back to a high rating. Since my post, Freedom has reached out and addressing my issue. Their system was overwhelmed by Hurricane Beryl. They're trying hard to meet the challenges of this extreme event.

Unfortunately, I have to update my review with this downgrade. To be fair, I have loved the performance of my system until this latest issue. It appears that once Freedom Solar has your money you can forget about any support from them. I have started having problems with my battery backup system so I tried to contact Freedom Solar service by phone, by chat, by email with no response or even acknowledgement that they will look at the issue to diagnose and fix the issue. When you call your put on hold and after a while the phone system cuts you off. They offer a call back option but they never call back. I've submitted service requests through email with no response. I've been on their chat where they promise to contact the service department but nothing! It's more than frustrating.

Since then I've been in contact with Tesla support and they have connected me with another company to look at my outside.

Bottomline, once Freedom takes your money don't expect them to live up to their commitment!!

First rate operation. They just completed the installation on my system. I couldn't ask for a more competent, committed crew. The entire installation took just 4 hours. They were conscientious, and competent. They were obviously a well-trained crew that has done many installations. They cleaned up after themselves. Afterwards, they walked me through my new installation. Everything seems to be working to specs.

This company is great. The energy consultant (David Pleitez) was very personable and did not just tell me all the good stuff, but also gave me the pros and cons of getting solar panels installed. He listened to what I wanted and needed and gave me the best possible setup that would fit my needs. There was an unusual issue that happened with the installation of my solar panels with an outside entity, and they put together a team led by Tiaira Wilson and came up with a solution to the problem. There was no written process, procedure, or protocol for the issue they ran into, but Tiaira and her team worked through it and worked out a solution that made everything work out for the customer. Customer service is great when you talk to the right person, and David Pleitez and Tiaira Wilson were the right people from Freedom Solar.
