Technician Duwaye Skeine was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of what was needed for my repairs. He was very aware of my financial situation and needs.
-
Dwayne is professional. He is polite and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the workings of the furnace. I would definitely recommend and use his services again

Duwayne was amazing and did such a good job! Definitely great customer service. Thank you for the excellent before and after pictures of our maintenance! Thanks again!

Duwayne was the tech that went out to help with my A/C issues. He was very professional and honest with the assessment of the issues of my A/C. He laid out all my options and described the pros and cons of each one of them. He was also very quick but precise with the fixes he made. I would recommend him to others and would have him come back for any of my HVAC needs.

We had duct work completed and the work was great! They hauled off the trash, replaced the vents, and left our house clean. The low rating is for the communication after the fact. We purchased the service plan and needed proof of our furnace being in working condition. Many phone calls later leaving messages and even speaking to the General Manager, we never received what we needed. We ended up having to pay for someone to come out and do a furnace check from another company. For poor communication only, we will not use them again.

We recently experienced an issue with our HVAC system where air was blowing through the vents, but the fan on the unit wasn’t running, and the home wasn’t cooling. We contacted Elmer’s, and a technician came out to inspect the system. After some investigation, they found that the main breaker was tripping, which they attributed to a faulty component in the unit.
The technician spent some time troubleshooting the wiring and ultimately concluded that the condenser needed to be replaced. When I asked for an estimate, I was told it would be around $7,000. I mentioned that the unit had been installed five years ago for under $5,000 and inquired about the cost of a full system replacement. The technician offered to have a specialist come by within 30 minutes to provide more details, and stayed with him after arrival.
The second technician inspected the attic and explained that due to recent EPA regulations banning the previously used refrigerant, any system upgrade would require replacing all related components, including the plenum and ductwork. He then quoted us $13,000 for a new system. He also mentioned that he had been searching for a condenser for another customer’s identical unit for the past six weeks without success, and pushed choosing the new unit over a repair. However, based on my own research, I found that the condenser appears to be readily available. When I referenced the cost of our existing unit and mentioned a recent $4,000 installation by a friend nearby, he dismissed it, suggesting it may have involved a used unit. His tone was condescending, and the interaction felt more like a sales pitch than a professional consultation.
After they left, I researched the models in question, our current Trane XR and the quoted Lennox ML14, and found that both typically retail between $3,000 and $5,000. Also, a condenser replacement generally runs around $2,000 to $3,000. These figures obviously didn’t align with the quotes we were given.
We decided to get a second opinion from another local HVAC company, J Cools. Their technician arrived the next day and quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty contactor, a relatively minor issue. He replaced it on the spot, explained why it was causing the breaker to trip, and had the system up and running within 20 minutes. The total cost was $95, including the diagnostic fee.
The following day, I contacted their main office and requested to speak with a manager. The representative I spoke with asked me to explain the situation, which I did in detail. I was assured that a manager would return my call that same day. However, as of the next day, I have not received any follow-up.
While I’d like to believe our experience with Elmer’s was an isolated incident, it was disappointing. The diagnosis appeared inaccurate, and the pricing seemed significantly inflated. As a family who had been enthusiastic about trying Elmer’s based on their advertising, especially because our children enjoyed their commercials, the experience left us feeling misled.
We hope this feedback is taken constructively, as trust and transparency are critical in any service industry, especially when it comes to something as essential as home cooling. -
Duwayne was an absolute professional and was able to get to our house quicker than originally planned. He helped us get our unit running and helped walk us through a quick fix instead of paying for a new part that wasn’t necessary yet. Would highly Duwayne recommend to anyone!

Elmer’s home services….you have done it again!!!! Duwayne Skeine never fails to provide excellent service. This was not the first time that Duwayne was sent to my residence to complete AC work. Every time I get a notification that Duwayne is the tech assigned to my home, I know it will be a great experience. Duwayne is always courteous, professional, knowledgeable and on point. Thank you Duwayne for everything you have done for me and my family by maintaining our AC system. As long as Elmer’s Home Services has Duwayne or other technicians that are honest and trustworthy, they will keep on getting my business. I definitely recommend Elmer’s to my family, friends or anyone needed services completed on their home.

The electritions at Elmer’s came over on time, worked hard all day and went over and above what we expected from them.
Mike was very pleasant and personable. He talked to us about other electrical issues we had and offered solutions. Elmer’s is a little more cost wise but I’m confident they are worth every cent. Mike was smart. He knows his craft well and that gave us the confidence to choose Elmer’s for our electrical project.
(New breaker box +). We will definitely choose them again.
Thank you Mike! -
Very pleased with Elmer’s technician, Duwayne. He arrived on time and was very polite to both me and my wife. He did a thorough and professional job performing maintenance on both our indoor and outdoor units. Highly satisfied with the service.

We had Elmer’s come in last year to clean and change the system. Customer service was already great over the phone and it extended all the way to the service done. Larry came in to evaluate and I appreciated his honesty and politeness. He did not sell us anything we didn’t need which in turn gave us security in their work and product. We had a team scheduled to do the work and dispatch was great at informing us arrival times. They were all very respectful of our house, covered furniture and made sure they had floor and shoe coverings throughout. Neat and clean. 1 year in and we are happy.
Maintenance was also honored (every 6 months) and Raymond came out today (12/23) right on time as scheduled. Maintenance was done thoroughly, I saw before and after of the work including videos. All HVAC filters, liquids, insulation, UV, etc were all checked and maintained. Raymond also went to the rooms with the CO monitor to check the airflow. Experienced, friendly, polite and helpful -his work was thorough and left the space clean. -
had to hit a quick stop due to some debris on a slippery road, driver V-30 happened to be TAILGATING us at the same time. i suppose he was mad that he nearly rear-ended us because he swerved around us going at insane speeds and gave us the bird. a really fat bird. he was going nearly 85-90 the whole way down hardy. surprisingly. idk how that van could reach that speed. PLEASE fix ur drivers because looking at these reviews… these vans MAY have a kill count???
