Smart Comfort Services does not put a customer service contact phone number on their furnace and my A/C was not working. So I Googled the company and an angel Tom Lee (independent contractor) answered me and stepped me carefully thru each step by step to program my Ecobee thermostat. Thank you Tom Lee for your expertise and all your patience, you didn't have to do what you did for us as many would of just said sorry I can't help you you're not in my area. I payed tom 75$ just to diagnose the problem with my ac unit. He told me it was my evaporator coil that was bad and wanted to charge me 1500$ to change it. My ac is only 1 1/2 years old . So i knew something wasn’t right. I had someone come to give a second opinion. They told me it just needed to be cleaned and ac pressure was good. They didn’t even charge me. Wow! This guy wanted to con me for 1500$ and I didn’t even need that. He told me he was trustworthy and honest person. He is honest to himself and nobody else . Trying to scam people that need help and work hard for their money unlike him. This guy is a piece of trash and i know now to stay away from this company. If you want someone to play you for a fool go for it. Pay him for his vacation and fix something that doesn’t need to be fixed and leave a family in debt and no money to pay the bills . Tom is your guy! Youve been warned.

Tom and his assistant were a pleasure to have them do the repairs I asked them to do. Very knowledgeable of what was wrong and explained everything to me. They cleaned up after themselves very well. I would recommend them for any plumbing problems you have.

Met Tom at HomeDepot while he was picking up parts for a customer's project.
I struck up a conversation and he gave me some advice for a project I was working on.
He mentioned he had 40 years of experience and to ask him anything. I asked for his contact information and later called him for his advice on a heater vent pipe I was replacing. He mentioned to call him if I had other projects in mind.

I recently had new a/c ducts installed but there were not performing like I wanted because I was not getting enough air in a back bedroom and bathroom and I was considering going to a larger section of ductwork.
Tom offered to come by and evaluate my recent work. He sized up my a/c tonnage and looked at the ducts and told me that me air flow problem was a result of undersized ducts and a restriction in a duct manifold.

Although I could live with it, it was not correct so I gave Tom authorization of correct it.

He schedule and corrected the problem, plus he gave me advice to correct an undersized air return to match the a/c tonnage. I intend to add two additional air filter return grills so the intake will be optimum for my a/c tonnage.

Tom prides himself on his reputation for telling customers the Truth and doing things correctly where other contractors may deceive customers and scare them into getting brand new systems that may still not meet the customers needs for their home.

I trust Tom for any future advice and service, but it may be a while since he optimized my system for now.
