I had an excellent experience with Vargas AC! From the first call to the final service, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. The team showed up on time, explained the issue clearly, and got everything up and running quickly. You can tell they really care about doing quality work and making sure the customer is happy.

What stood out most was their honesty and transparency—no upselling, just straightforward recommendations and fair pricing. It’s hard to find trustworthy HVAC professionals these days, but Vargas AC has definitely earned my trust and future business.

If you are thinking about using Select Home Warranty, we recommend not choosing them. I believe Choice or American Home Shield are more trustworthy. But if you already have contracts with them and/or are thinking about using them, please read the contract carefully before signing with them.
In addition, please don’t use Vargas Heating & Cooling people. They are either incompetent or very untrustworthy. If you have time, please read below for explanation.
Our up-stair A/C unit was not working. It didn’t produce cool air and the fan outside was not working. We called Select Home Warranty (SHW) because we have contract with them. They are supposed to send people to repair and if they cannot then replace them. They sent Vargas Heating & Cooling Services to repair the problem. Vargas came out and indicated that the condensing motor was out. Vargas submitted request to SHW for replacement. But SHW denied it because they wanted invoice for maintenance from a license professional service. But on advertising, they said that “Your covered item is repaired or replaced. Simple as that” They do have a small fine print clause toward the bottom of the contract that mention about maintenance from a license professional. However, for me I do most of the maintenance DIY and of course I couldn’t produce the invoice and SHW won’t replace the unit.
Fortunately for us, our A/C unit is working, and the condensing unit doesn’t need to be replaced. After SHW denied the claim, I called one of my buddies to check out if indeed the condensing motor was the problem. It turned out that the problem is the contact in the breaker of the A/C unit. Vargas was quoting us $795 to replace the condensing. Hence, Vargas Heating & Cooling was either incompetent or tried to con us for money. They probably will not even replace the condensing unit after taking our money.
In conclusion, we recommend that you should not do any business with SHW and Vargas Heating & Cooling because they are shady, incompetent and untrustworthy.

Vargas Heating & Cooling come out to inspect my AC system, and they did a great job. The technician, Asiano, was thorough and professional and explained everthing in detail. Great service. I highly recommend this company.

Emerson was man of the show he was there to help when both my AC units broke even after coming in the morning and my crappie Select Home warranty denying to authorize service. He came back later to fix my AC with quality work done. THANK YOU FOR GREAT SERVICE.

Vargas was recommended by my warranty company, so at first I was a bit nervous. The scheduling was seamless and when Emerson arrived he was friendly and professional. He checked my areas that had issues and explained what my options could be. We went on ahead and scheduled the work and we added some work that we had been planning. The team came out the next day to complete the work. We found the same issue the next day so I called them and they quickly made a new appt and came in and fixed the issue. Would use them again.

We hired Asiano to replace an AC unit last year. We were so satisfied that we hired Vargas Heating & Cooling to install a second AC unit this year. They are extremely professional and responsive.

If your home warranty company assigns Vargas AC to perform the inspection, I strongly advise requesting a different contractor. Vargas AC appears to be present solely to collect the service deductible and conducts inspections in a way that virtually guarantees claim denial.

Highly recommend these guys. Alexis was punctual, knowledgeable, courteous and fixed our heater perfectly. Scheduling was a breeze. Overall a great experience. I wish more companies were like these guys!!!!
