These guys came out and replaced the plumbing under my house early this year. They were courteous with the property (moved a large amount of dirt for trenches and tunneling), competitively priced and seem to have done a great job.

There is another review on yelp similar to what I just went through and it appears our work was done at the same time. Beware!

I received a bid to replace my sewer line which was the cheaper of several options. During the course of the work I was told they would be delayed (it was the end of day) because they needed to do additional digging under my driveway to get to the area they needed to fix. Apparently more had to be replaced than expected in order to pass the city inspection.

Work is completed and I get a final bill (you pay part up front and the rest when work is completed) to which I signed and said I'd mail them a check. The bill was the agreed upon amount.

Later that day I get another invoice for $1300 more than the estimate and was told it was because they had to dig more than expected. I told them this was a bit ridiculous since no one mentioned an additional cost when I was told they had to dig a bit more. I asked why I wasn't given this amount when they mentioned the additional digging and was told that it was an error. I relayed that the additional $1300 charge put their total cost above two other bids I had. They also ran cameras through my line so I still don't understand why the digging caught them off guard.

I have received repeated calls from the project manager attempting to collect the $1300. Three weeks later he had the nerve to show up at my home to collect.

If you're interested in dealing with a company that will give you a good estimate and act like the mafia afterwards then this is the place for you.

This company has been great to work with. Organized and very good at communicating during the process.

Herndon Muncey fixed our sewage lines after they collapsed six days after moving into our new home. They were able to help us navigate our insurance claim and make sure everything was done efficiently. We will definitely be using them again. My only complaint is that communication was a little spotty at times and I wish they had provided more update on when work was going to be done. Even so, I’m rating them 5 stars because they did such a great job and did get everything done in a reasonable timeline.

They performed an isolation and leak test at my home. They were friendly and very professional. They let me know what each test was and answered all of my questions. They returned within a timely manner and fixed the leaks that were found. I would recommend this company to anyone that needs any plumbing wok done. Thanks for the great job and professional employees.

I would never recommend the services of Herndon Muncey Investigative Plumbing to anyone who needs plumbing work. Their communication and transparency throughout the job that is *still* incomplete almost two months later has been abysmal. Getting updates, timelines, any kind of commitment, and any news at all has been like pulling teeth. On top of that, the lack of care and empathy regarding the repeated delays that have resulted in our family having no sewer connection for nearly a month has astounded me. And this is *after* a plan to solve the issue was determined.

I understand weather delays and logistical hurdles. But when said weather and hurdles have finally been worked out, it feels like there is never a sense of urgency to get the job done—that they don’t see the people whose lives are being affected by this at the other end.

We finally cancelled our job with them and they seemed neither surprised or sorry. I suppose an easy and clean break is all we can ask for and the only good that has come from this job.

I cannot speak to the quality of their work—mostly because I have been able to see or experience very little of it other than the gaping hole in our backyard.

Very professional and easy to work with. Reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend!

I have complete faith in this company. They are professional from start to finish. They have excellent diagnostics to pinpoint your problem, and when they say it is fixed, it is fixed. They were wonderful working with me on price, and I’m so happy to have a warranty. Would recommend them 1,000 times over.

Professional is the best way to describe this company. I manage a lot of rentals and deal with lots of plumbers. These guys did a great job and worked with my budget. Best of all my tenant did not call me complaining about them .

Herndon Muncey recently inspection the plumbing and electrical systems of a house we had under contract. Their inspection was detailed and their report explained all of their findings in a way I could easily understand. Along with the inspection report, they provided a quote for the recommended plumbing work. I shopped around and their quote was SIGNIFICANTLY lower than other aestablished plumbing company. When it came to the actual work, they completed it efficiently, and the quality was top-notch. They also left everything clean and tidy afterward, which I really appreciated.

Herndon Muncey recently installed all new PEX fresh water piping through my entire home. It is an old home from 1920, and Muncey and their crew handled the job with care from home inspection, through early job scoping and estimates, and through job completion. Hebert and JR were very professional to work with. Their crew lead was very experienced and the crew members were great. The job passed city inspections with no hesitation and the city inspector was impressed by the work. I highly recommend considering Herndon Muncey for your plumbing needs.

Knowing the type of job and the potential complexities of the project, he put his most experienced crew on our job so it would unfold just like the paper proposal. Job was executed as planned and we had constant communication as to where we were in the process and overall project. Great experience with great people resulted in a job well done. Herndon Muncey is wonderful, highly recommend. They sprung to action and were able to fit us in very last-minute when we needed a hydrostatic test done in a very short timeframe. They were also able to provide us our report earlier than their already very reasonable turnaround time so that we could use this critical information to help us make an informed decision about a house before our option period was over. Critically from a buyer's perspective (since this is often a sticking point with sellers), ***they accept all liability for any potential issues arising from a hydrostatic test*** (and they expect none), which is hugely helpful. (Make sure to read their agreement for yourself.) Also, their process and pricing is fair and transparent, and the person I spoke with was kind, patient, and answered all of my questions. I reached out to Herndon Muncey during the inspection phase of my home purchase, needing a hydrostatic test. Becky promptly reached out to me and kept in contact via email. Technicians Alex and Brian were on-time and did a very thorough inspection and the report itself was very detailed in its assessment and recommendations. I received the inspection report the next business day after payment and also received a free quote for re-piping the house with PEX. They were a decent value for the inspection and I would recommend them for performing hydrostatic test whether you're a homeowner or home buyer.

I recently hired Herndon Muncey for a large job at my older house which involved under-the-slab pipe replacement. Throughout the whole process, Herndon was great at communicating early and often leading up to the job. JR did a great job explaining the project details to a non-plumber like myself. The crew was extremely hard working (on a hot week) and were professional. I would recommend this company and will call them again if I have future plumbing needs.
