Had BICC come out to do a complete HVAC system replacement along with new duct work in our house. They did an excellent job and were very professional. Chris did a great job of explaining all the options and giving us a break down of the pros and cons of each system and costs. Chris didn't try to pressure us into making a decision and gave us time to get quotes from other companies. The removal of the old system and install of the new system was complete in one 8 hour day. The install team was on time, professional and made sure to lay down floor protection. They also did a great job of cleaning up after the job was complete. Chris also came out on short notice after the recent storms temporally knocked out power to assist in getting the system checked out and running properly. Since the replacement of the system I've noticed the temperature in the house is much more even room to room, where before some rooms were cold while others were warm. Looking forward to testing it out this summer and having lower electricity bills. Would definitely recommend going with BICC for all your HVAC needs.

We have been using BICC for our routine Maintenance for about 3 years now. On a Sunday evening we discovered that we had a power surge in our neighborhood and it fried our compressor and we were left with no AC in 100+ degree heat. I called Chris (the owner) and he came right out the next day (Monday), diagnosed the problem, picked up the new part and changed it out for me so we had AC back by 6pm. It is very rare to have a company in the trade/service industry that goes above and beyond for its customers but BICC Is top notch, couldn’t recommend them any higher. Anyone looking for an HVAC company give them a call.

I have used Chris several times in the past to help maintain my aging AC system. What stands out about Chris, is his honesty and intelligence when it comes to repairs. At any point he could just tell me I needed a new system, but instead he continued to patch and repair my unit to save me money. I remember one time he even came out on Father's Day to help me out. He knows cooling and heating inside out. It all makes sense when he explains the repairs and/or issues. It wasn't until my electric bills began to skyrocket that I knew it was time to replace. Once again, Chris gave me options, but I thought it was time to make the move. I spoke to him on a Friday and had a new system on Monday. Great crew, expedient and careful with the work. Chris mentioned a air purifier option, which at was apprehensive about, but I am so glad I added it, as I have three dogs. Guess what? No more dog smell. I really can't say enough about Chris and his crew. I was extremely satisfied with his work and the price was reasonable. I can't recommend this company enough.

I trust Always Cool Air Conditioning and Heating for pretty much all of my AC & heater problems.

On September 7th Always Cool, installed a complete new AC system. A month later I had a leak from my other AC unit. While in the attic I noticed the half a$$ work that was done on my new unit installed by Always Cool. It was missing a leak detection switch, P-trap, and breaker cover on air handler. I contacted Tom the owner, he apologized and said he would take care of it. Never heard back from them. A Month later I contacted them again, same promise, and again nothing. On December 19th I sent another email to Tom, he never responded. Here it is almost 3 months later, still nothing. Other than this Tom and his guys where friendly and professional. But since It’s rework with no money for them to make, Im no longer a important customer.

I don't know where to start. I wish I could say that Shawn was the first guy I went to for my AC repairs, but he wasn't. After getting five bids for this job (coil replacement) and after some serious deliberation, I only went with someone else because he was a "friend of a friend" and he was able to save me about $200 over Shawn. Boy, was that a mistake... (BTW, the other three guys were asking about $500 more for this job).

The good news is that, because the first guy I picked was indeed a "friend of a friend," I was able to get a full refund and their equipment was removed without too much negotiating. Not to mention, the owner of that company was so embarrassed by his installers' horrible work that it didn't even take too much convincing. Nevertheless, he still found it difficult to part with his money, but when he did, I was then able to call Shawn back and he made everything right. But here's the most important part to anyone out there that is looking out for the best interests of your hard-earned money... those $200 I "saved" were NOT worth it!

The money I thought I had saved cost my family (we're a family of five) THREE weeks' worth of water leaks, discomfort, some serious regrets and some really unnecessary and stressful FIGHTS with my wife. Moreover, those $200 in "savings" were NOT an apples-to-apples comparison either. Regrettably, I didn't notice that until the first installation was done.

Also, I don't just mean that the savings were not the same in regards to the equipment Shawn installed, but also in the quality of work/installation, the craftsmanship and the CLEAN UP they provided after the job. It was nothing short of amazing and Shawn has the pictures to prove it.

Nevertheless, regarding the equipment costs, check this out... Besides replacing the coil, Shawn also installed:
* a new drip tray/pan with an overflow switch;
* quick blow-out lines;
* an access door to the coil housing;
* properly re-routed cooper and PVC lines
* properly connected and sealed joints and duct work; and
* a new plenum
The other guy didn't do/provide ANY of this!

*Note: I really wish I would have paid closer attention to what I was paying for and I encourage everyone out there to demand an itemized parts list to avoid this same mistake. DO NOT assume that all "coil replacement jobs" are the same!

I was so upset with the trash job that the first guys did and I was so impressed with what Shawn had to offer, that I took it upon myself to document the "before and after" results of this installation in a series of pictures. Hopefully, Shawn will post these on his website soon or, if not, just ask him to see the pictures. You will be able to see for yourself what happens when you go with the "friend of a friend" just to save $200. Again, in this case, it just was not worth it.

In closing, I wanted to save this for last because if you've read this far I want you to know this...

I've been a policeman for 22 years now and I currently work for a local I.S.D. police department. I am a real person and I haven't been compensated or influenced to write any of this on Shawn's behalf. I am simply writing this because Shawn's crew did an amazing job and I believe he deserves some proper praise and recognition. He really did do me right.

I cannot express how much I regret not going with my gut feeling on this from the beginning and, hopefully, you will see for yourself that Shawn is very honest and he will work very hard to earn your business. Like the rest of us, Shawn is just trying to make an honest living and he wants to distinguish himself by doing excellent work and hiring people that share his values; I hope you see this, too. Shawn explained clearly to me the issues surrounding my failed AC system and the pros and cons of replacing a compressor vs. replacing a unit. This included a discussion on upgrading from an R 22 system. A little online research corroborated everything he told me so we bought a new 410a unit. He installed it the next day and the upstairs of my home is now livable again. I'm going back to Mid-Tex when it is time to replace my second unit!
