I just wanted to take a moment to recognize my new pool cleaning tech Matt K. He is relatively new to cleaning my pool however, since day one he has been responsive, professional and very easy to talk too, about issues I think I might have with my water chemistry. So, if Matt K is your pool cleaning tech and cleans your pool the same as mine give him a 5 star shout out here on google. photos are from today's cleaning and the pool was full of leaves and the vacuum would not keep up.

UPDATE 4/28/2022 - After posting the review, I got one email telling me someone will be in touch....two months later...no action. Now I have algae in my pool and they don't use the backwash hose they installed and make a mess with the Filter powder. Maintenance guy said they ran out of Shock so they used liquid bleach and that is not effective as the pool shock in fighting algae. So even if I pay over $200 for weekly service, looks like they don't have the right chemicals to keep my pool maintained. Updated pics attached. Pool is now a little over 18 months new and Gold Medal has built and serviced this thus far. I am going to shop around for actual quality service and will be filing a demand letter for damages. Tired of their lack of response and ownership.

Without going into much detail, it was a painful process getting all the repairs completed after the damage is during construction. I’ve been under maintenance with them for over a year and a half and they are service still continues to lack quality and proper cleaning. On top of that they have caused much damage repeatedly time after time with acid damage on my existing concrete. Warranty department is unresponsive and unwilling to make the necessary repairs properly to get this addressed. The pictures speak for themselves. This is the result of weekly maintenance and as you can see by the pictures the pool should not be in this condition for paying over $200 a month for weekly maintenance.

All the reviews and ratings on non-responsiveness on repairs and service calls are true. I have a pool leak that has been there for more than a year, and called the for service several times and it’s still not fixed. In addition, the customer service or technician will not give the timeframe to come to the property. You’ll get a text notification 15-30 min before the technician arrives. So they expect you to be home all day. If they’re not able to make it, they don’t even have the courtesy of notifying the customer.

This pool builder is really unprofessional and irresponsible. I’ll never recommend anyone I know to this pool builder. Total regret going with this pool builder. I don’t want anyone else to be a victim of bad customer service post purchase or building the pool and getting frustrated. If there’s a 0 star, that’s what I would rate this pool builder. Forget about gold, this pool builder does not even deserves a bronze or any medal!!!

We had a great pool-building experience with Gold Medal Pools. Obviously, with materials and labor shortages, there were delays and some repairs, but the end result is exactly what we wanted. Kimberly Ryan is a fantastic designer - she listened to us, guided us well and directed us to the perfect layout and materials for our pool, patio, deck and fire pit!

Gold Metal Pools is a first-class company. They did an amazing job with our pool resurfacing, pool deck resurfacing, outdoor kitchen and covered patio extension. This company does not cut corners and everything turned out better than we had imagined. Communication was great from start to finish. If you have a pool project or a backyard design/remodeling project, you will not regret going with Gold Metal Pools.

Our experience with building a pool and spa with Gold Medal was excellent! So many people wait months for a pool to be completed; ours was done in weeks and in less than Gold Medal's guaranteed 12 weeks! We chose Gold Medal for their responsiveness and attention to detail during the quoting process, and for the beautiful design that Kim C. did for us. Logan was our project manager and communicated often and accurately throughout the process. We can't say enough about Logan's talent as a PM and his professionalism throughout. Kim C. followed up often throughout the process as well and was always making sure we were happy with the design, materials, and the building process. The whole team was extremely professional, excellent with communications, and they built us a high quality pool and spa in record time!

Josh, Cody, Ridge, Erik, and the entire Gold Medal team exceeded my expectations! Their attention to detail, follow up, and commitment to their customers perfectly complements their excellent product. The quality of their craftmanship has always been top of the industry and continues 5 decades later. Will confidently use and recommend them for any opportunities in the future. Thanks for all you do!

I had such a great experience with Gold Medal pools. Everyone was polite, professional and responsive throughout the whole short process. Construction of my pool was done in a very timely manner. It was built at the beginning of the supply chain issues and I had no delays. This is when experience and the company you work with matters.

Brooklyn is absolutely amazing! She's super professional and really knows her stuff when it comes to looking after our pool. We wouldn't trust anyone else but Brooklyn to keep everything sparkling and perfect. She's the best!

We got upgraded to GMP's best technician (their words) and since then our pool has run perfectly. Shout out to Dreyton at GMP for his attention to detail and his enthusiasm for continuing to educate himself on the specific needs of our saltwater pool. As a new pool owner, I take my water samples to Lelie's every week to double check our chemistry and every single time the Leslie's guy tells me I've got the best sample he's seen that day. He doesn't even try to sell me anything, it's so on point. GMP is a big company and therefore has decent customer service, but at the end of the day, it comes down to the integrity of your technician. If you're lucky, you'll get Dreyton! :-)

Gold Medal built our pool, patio and a pergola. The pool has always leaked severely. It is not level even though they put piers under before construction. Funny thing is I have all the photos of it and I get different answers about the amount of piers from the VP of construction and the customer service manager (who was not employed by GM at that time). The VP told me 17 piers and the customer service manager said 16. I counted 11 when I viewed and took photos. Nevertheless, they came out several times—sent out subcontractors to check for leaks. On the 3rd or 4th time they had a sub gone and put putty in each skimmer. That didn’t work. They came out again with 6 people and looked at it and saw the unlevel pool and told me I would have to meet them halfway — ie: take down my surveys! They sent a guy to take all the water valves and lights etc off the pool walls and grind down and seal them. I had to drain 18,600 gallons twice in one month for them to do this seal as well as repair a cracked wall under one skimmer. He had to chip out the wall and then replace the concrete and respray the pebbletech. It has several cracks over 10’ long and the VP Justin said those are not leaks even though they were wet and the rest of the pool was dry. The pool continues to leak and I put in 700-800 gallons 3-4 times per week. The coping has come off because the mortar is falling out. One piece of coping actually came off on my waterfall wall which could have killed me! I used liquid nails to temporarily keep it on. The lights are not working and they cannot be fixed. The garden wall attached around my brick walls of the house has broken since day 1. They sent masons to repair a couple of times but they continued to fall including the white backsplash. These cracked and broke off. The pergola has a column that holds up one end that has separated
and needs more screws to bring back in 2 inches. I gave many photos on my previous surveys.

Kimberly and Keith were AMAZING to work with, they made a huge project feel simple- great communication and all of the different contractors were kind and did a wonderful job. We now have our dream backyard.

We love our pool! The process was fast, professional, and hassle-free. I cannot recommend this company enough. Our pool is an oasis for our family and, during this crazy COVID crisis, it could not have come at a better time. Go with Gold Medal, you'll be glad you did.

We couldn’t be happier with our pool service! Our Brooklyn is thorough, dependable, and always leaves everything sparkling clean. She pays attention to every detail, making sure the water is balanced, the equipment is in great shape, and the pool looks inviting. It’s such a relief to know the job will be done right every time. Her professionalism and consistency truly set her apart—we highly recommend her to anyone looking for excellent pool care.

We have been using Gold Medal Pools for our weekly chemicals for about a year. Pool has looked great and if any concerns they take care of quickly. Brooklyn does a great job.

Completely incompetent (best case scenario) or predatory (worst case) is how I would sum up this company.

We used them for a pre purchase inspection and they said the pool was fine other than two $500 actuators.

We had that installed and it was nothing but problems after. We have had 4 techs out and every single one tells me a different issue needs to be fixed but they all say “nah the other guy was wrong. This is actually what needs to be fixed”. I’m not almost $10k deep with this company and I currently have a 3rd party pool company doing a $2500 repair that they didn’t notice until the 3rd or 4th guy came out.

The manager Chris Espinoza is a complete joke as well. He did nothing but apologize and then told me to kick rocks when I asked for a discount of any kind because of all this mess. He laughed me off the phone and told me to call customer care when I asked for a $200 bill credit (equates to 2% of the money I’ve spent with them in the last month). The techs that came out were bad mouthing the other techs on their “team” (apparently if a tech named Ryan shows up you need to turn him away according to the other guys up there bc he’s messed up all sorts of peoples pools and he missed $5k worth of broken items during our inspection).

I even paid for a $3k automation system to be installed and the 3rd party pool company that showed up today asked why Gold Medal didn’t add a $50 communication cable when they installed it bc currently I don’t even have the automation working at all since the filter pump and everything are still wired to only be controlled locally. He’s coming out Monday and it’s a $50 fix that none of the children they have working for them could figure out.

I’m also paying for their $300 a month maintenance plan and the guy that came out today showed me the chemicals are all out of whack and that’s why my pool is cloudy and not because the filter needed to be replaced. That also explains why my 7 year old has been breaking out into hives after being in the pool the last two weeks…

Avoid this place like the plague because there are a million better and honest options out there.

Please learn from our mistake and save yourself the headache.

If Chris or any of the guys from gold medal want to jump on and refute what I said I would be happy to go into further detail :)

We had our pool remodeled a few years ago, and recently some additional work completed on our fire pit. The work was done on time, and the gentleman that did the repair was outstanding!!!!Over the years I’ve recommended GM pools to many friends and family members. It’s good to know their level of service both warranty and customer support is still above and beyond!
