$231 for 15 minutes of work. Put a shop vac on a pipe, cut it so he could visually see that the clog was gone and put back on. Litterally 15 minutes. It took him longer to write up the bill. And to add insult to injury, he forgot to replace the air filter on the HVAC. That's not a fair price, there are still people in Lubbock who will do work at a fair price but Jay Young isn't one of them. I won't call them again.

Jay Young Plumbing has taken care of my Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditions needs for 10 plus years. Service techs leave job site clean. I would recommend them for all your plumbing needs.

We have used Jay Young Plumbing for every conceivable job at numerous houses for several years now, including a gut renovation and the restoration of a 1940s property. They’ve repaired, removed, and replaced water heaters, shower/bath fixtures, toilets, sinks, and every water and/or gas appliance for us multiple times. They’ve repaired/replaced burst water lines and corroded copper pipes. They’ve solved mysteries and come to our aid quickly in emergencies. Before finding them we dealt with numerous plumbers in Lubbock who didn’t get the job at all or didn’t do it well. We struck gold finding Jay Young and his team. From Talissa in the office to John and Brandon, who are are both incredible plumbers, to Raymond, the HVAC pro, to Jay himself, who spotted what could have been a deadly mistake caused by our general contractor’s plumber (who had put the wrong vent cap on our water heater so carbon monoxide was being trapped in the house) — everyone we’ve worked with has been fantastic. They show up when promised and always to do an outstanding job. Their prices are fair, and lower than anyone we’d used before. Amazing since their work is so much better. My daughter bought a home, and discovered the heating/cooling was not only not installed correctly but had been worked on for several thousand dollars previously and only heating and cooling a few rooms at a time and no air in one room. Many told her to add another unit for $6000 to heat/cool a tiny bedroom. After several repairmen came and told her nothing could be done with many excuses, I called Jay Young plumbing and heating for another opinion, with a prayer. The next morning two men from Jay Young came to analyze the issue. They figured out the complex issue that no one else could, and it was a mess, were there all day, for $2000 and thought it was fixed. They needed to come back the next day and they did, found the last problem, no extra charge. It was miraculously repaired. They fixed the complicated mess, they were respectful, kind, knowledgeable, showed up when they said they would, the office was a kind and helpful, we all stayed in touch through the process, and fixed a problem no one else could. We were so impressed, excited, and grateful for these knowledgeable repair men!! Thank you Raymond and Andrew for your kindnesses and professionalism.

This is an exceptional company. From initial communication, prices were fair, comprehensive, and clearly communicated. We had a massive project undertaking which included replacing two main drain lines and installing a third toilet inside our home. The project was green-lighted on a Friday, the crew showed up on Monday morning, with the last of the work done by that Friday. I was impressed with just how quickly they completed this project! Crew members were friendly, communicative, respectful of our property, and very kind to my inquisitive kids. John, the project lead always set clear expectations for the day and continuously met or exceeded them. Even a horrendous wind storm did not slow them down one bit and they were out side filling in trenches and mending fences.

Every penny spent employing this company was very much worth it. From the owners to the newest of apprentices, everyone we encountered had an exceptional work ethic, attention to detail, great project/labor management and such a positive attitude.

As I was trying to wash my dishes, I realized that my hot water was not working. My dad who is a master plumber on the other side of Texas helped me to realize that my water heater was no longer working, and I needed to get it swapped out as it was still under warranty (thankfully). I reached out to several plumbing companies to try and get scheduled date of and Jay Young Plumbing offered the best pricing for a swap, and on top of that they were able to squeeze me in same day. If it wasn’t for their help my kids and I would have been taking cold showers. I highly recommend them. Great pricing, up front and honest. Thank you Jay Young plumbing!

i’ve used Jay Young several times now, they are my go to guys anytime something comes up. I recently had a repeat issue where I get pinhole leak in the water line feeding into my hot water heater…..this last time Travis had it fixed quickly…..he was the kindest young man too. Then two days later I had them come out to check my HVAC system before we fired up the heater, Richard & his helper were awesome as well, thorough and efficient. Also kudos to Latissa in the office, she’s the sweetest !
