I called Downshift-HVAC this morning and they came today only a few hours later and did an excellent job. They were very meticulous and took the time to explain everything they were doing and had done. They were very very reasonably price and I highly recommend using Downshift HVAC for all your air conditioning needs.

Our house was heating up fast and we were stressed out, but DOWNSHIFT HVAC made the whole repair process painless. I contacted Downshift HVAC R for a routine maintenance on my AC unit and was extremely impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail. I had my coils (outdoor condenser) cleaned and capacitors checked. I was also 2 pounds low on refrigerant (which was promptly replaced) and had my condensate line blown. Thanks to them, I’m confident to say I am prepared for the Texas heat this summer. Will definitely contact them for any further needs!!!

Amazing is all I can say! Steve went above and beyond. What happened with us is our AC went out of course and I went with Airco based off a recommendation and they wanted to charge me $900 for one part that took 30 mins and it was a warranty part as well. I denied their service and saw Steve recommended on FB and gave him a call and shared what issue was diagnosed and his quote was SIGNIFICANTLY different and more reasonable. However our part was warranty so we had to wait for it to be approved so he could pick it up. He called them at 8am this morning and stayed on the phone for 2 hours to get it approved quickly instead of waiting till Tuesday. because our house was at 88 degrees. He was able to finally get the part and came out right away! He got it fixed quick and was very knowledgeable and kind. I am someone who asks a lot of questions and he didn’t mind at all. After one fix unfortunately our capacitor was on the verge as well so he fixed that quickly as well. He luckily told me that my coils needed to be cleaned and I decided to add that as well because to be honest we have never done it! After all that he still went in the attic just to ensure all was well and notice some debris in condensation line and cleaned that at no charge. With all that he didn’t charge any extra for drive time on part and it was all reasonably priced. Total was $290!! Please reach out to him and send a text as well if he is on a job at the time you call! Will not be disappointed!

Steve is super thorough, kind, and honest! He understands what it feels like to be the consumer and he works with empathy and the utmost respect for the customer. We just bought a house and the ac is now in tip top shape because of him. He even went above and beyond to do extra things that we would’ve been typically charged for. Long story made short, hire him. You will not regret it.

I’ve known James about 18 years and this guy is as honest as they come. He’s the hardest working individual I’ve ever come across. He will always be honest and do right and literally can fix anything.

So I live in an apartment building in Ellis County, Texas and impact was the one who came in to get my AC back up and running because over the weekend of September 20 my air went out. So they came in and then the decision was made to install a new unit so on Tuesday the old unit was tore out and on Wednesday they were to put a new unit in. However, upon Checking the manager found that they had put in an old unit from 2015. It’s like why would you even do that if you’re a reputable company so fast-forward to Thursday when they tear that unit out that they just placed in, They then install the new unit and left by 5:00 PM.
Later that night at about 745, the unit starts pouring water my floor looks like it has a little river flowing through it. So they’re called by the office to come back out on Friday which they did and we go through all of this again. But with it being a new unit, none of our on-site maintenance can touch it because it’s still under warranty with Impact
So impact mechanical is called back out on Monday, October 6 and the guy that came was different from the other guys. He went and got the door where the filter lays and he got the dripping to stop and they had not put a fuse on it that’s why it started leaking and didn’t cut off. So once again, I’m gonna say if you are the “Professional“ that you claim to be, why would you have not done it like it was supposed to be done the first time and why did it take 17 days to come in and finally get the job done that should’ve been done in two days?
Therefore, I would never hire this company to do anything because you can’t trust their work and the length of time was unconscionable just ridiculous the amount of time wasted, and took to fix a problem that should’ve been fixed on 22 September
