Just had our quarterly service done yesterday. Shout out to Kevin J. with HoneTeam! He really went the extra mile! We love the TaexxSystem, and Kevin spent extra time checking our garage out, treating some hidden ant piles and overall making sure we're proactive vs reactive when it comes to pest control. I really appreciate him taking the extra 5 minutes to just have a conversation. It's technicians like Kevin that make HoneTeam great. Ya'll take care of him, he's a fantastic brand ambassador and super star!!!!

We had Mr. Kenny come out for our initial pest control appointment and he was absolutely outstanding. He was extremely thorough, listened to our concerns, was considerate and used shoe covers, took pictures of all his findings and sent them to us, explained his process of intervention and prevention, and was respectful of our busy schedule with a baby. We are very satisfied with his service and will be requesting him from now on!

I want to share my experience with HomeTeam Pest Defense, as it was very disappointing.

When I canceled the service, the company charged me a cancellation fee, even though my contract clearly stated that there were no cancellation penalties or fees. In addition, I had already sent an email notifying them that I did not wish to continue the service, so this charge feels incorrect and unfair.

I also had a negative experience with customer service. The person who responded was rude and dismissive, showing no willingness to help or review the situation respectfully.

Another important issue is that they do not have Spanish-speaking staff, despite serving an area with a large Spanish-speaking community. For a company that works directly with the public, this shows a lack of consideration for many of their customers.

Overall, my experience was negative both because of the charge and the poor customer service.

This review is way overdue! We’ve been using HomeTeam Pest Defense for the entire 8½ years we’ve owned our home, and I can honestly say we’ve never had anything but a great experience. Joseph E. has been our technician since the beginning — and he’s truly the reason we’ve stayed loyal all these years.

Joseph is the kind of person every company hopes to have on their team: professional, personable, and genuinely caring. He always greets us with a smile, and makes sure to ask if we’ve noticed any increase in bugs or problem areas before he starts. He’s incredibly thorough, never rushes through the job, and always makes sure everything is taken care of.

I especially appreciate how considerate he is — he’ll text when he’s a house or two away, so we can make sure the gates are unlocked and our dog is inside. Which if you have a dog that is a runner like I do, it’s truly appreciated.

HomeTeam as a company has been organized, prompt, and consistent from day one. Scheduling is easy, billing is smooth, and their communication is always clear. After nearly nine years of service, I can’t think of a single negative thing to say — and that’s saying something!

Joseph, if you’re reading this — thank you for taking such great care of our home (and family!) all these years. HomeTeam, you’ve got a real gem on your staff!

Wonderful experience with this company. The technician was friendly, informative, understanding, and took his time in handling my ant infestation problem in and around my home. Never had to use them for this before but glad I called them when I did. They scheduled me with an appointment the very next day. Thank you HomeTeam for your quick actions and appreciate your hard work. The technician even knocked out them spider webs.

Ryan came out to do a termite inspection. He did find termites in our flower beds and he explained the process very clearly. He was awesome! Excellent customer service and always very prompt! I can call and say we saw a spider or something and they find a way to get us in the schedule right away!

HomeTeam has been taking care of my home for 5 years with great service. Joseph, who services my neighborhood is awesome, very knowledgeable and responsive. We leave next to a green belt and a golf course, and the pest control from HomeTeam has proven effective. They also remove wasps. Based on my experience I definitely recommend them.

We received a voucher from our builder to use HomeTeam. We were skeptical at first. However, HomeTeam has been very impressive. Kevin came by the first time to our home for treatment (McKinney area) and he was great. Second time we needed treatment, HomeTeam quickly sent a technician out. We are so far, very impressed.

Today was my first day and first service. Kevin was my technician , and he was spectacular!!! Very professional, respectful and went above and beyond!! I was in much need of pest control and I saw this young man really care for my needs and exceeded my expectations. Thank you Kevin!!! I look forward to having Kevin out at my home again. We have had Home Team Pest defense for years and all the guys that have come out of been great. But today we had Kevin and he was especially wonderful and extremely thorough!!! Unfortunately, my experience with this company has been extremely disappointing.
We repeatedly reported a major pest issue around the outside of our home, and every time they told us that it’s “not their responsibility” as long as nothing enters inside — even though the entire porch was covered with insects.

When we asked to cancel the service because the problem was never addressed properly, they insisted on charging a cancellation fee, despite the fact that the service we were paying for was not delivered as promised.

We expected a professional pest-control company to take responsibility for outdoor prevention as well, or at least help us understand the cause and offer real solutions. Instead, we received dismissive responses and no meaningful support.

I do not recommend this company based on my experience.

Kevin is truly one of the most professional servicemen I have ever seen. He is thorough in his work he takes pride in making certain he has explained what he is doing. His listening skills are outstanding and I only want him to service my home. I hope Home Team rewards him for a job well done.

Kevin Johnson is an Awesome Technician! He took the time to answer all our questions with patience and knowledge. He was very detailed with our home treatment. He definitely gets an A+++ rating from us!

I’ve been using Home Team Pest Defense since I built my home, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with their service. They’ve consistently done an excellent job keeping pests under control, and I’ve had peace of mind knowing my home is protected.
