Had a great experience with Aboveboard. We had several projects, all of which were finished quickly with great results. Communication was stellar. We would definitely use them again!

James and his team did a big "honey do" list for us. Things we had been struggling to find time to do ourselves. They knocked everything out over a few hours each day they were onsite. Their scheduling and payment system is super helpful and easy to navigate too. I always knew exactly when they would arrive, fees were clear and as stated, and any additions made to the project were added and costs provided up front. No surprises.

The quality of the work was excellent and I appreciated James's guidance and recommendations throughout the process. They installed two head board systems, assembled some furniture, patched and painted several areas, disassembled and hauled away a bunch of furniture we replaced and general junk.

I had a great experience with Aboveboard Home Services. They handled 2 projects for me: replacing an electrical outlet and installing a new sink in our powder room.

The team was on time, professional, amd easy to work with. Communication was clear throughout, and everything was completed as expected.

I can’t say enough great things about James and Aboveboard Home Services (AHS). He recently installed a wall mount and large-screen TV in my media room, installed a new outlet for the TV so the cord wouldn't show, hung two very large paintings and also handled several general maintenance items like caulking trim and cabinets. Everything turned out flawless.

James is the definition of professional: punctual, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and incredibly skilled. The TV installation was perfectly done (level, secure, clean wiring), the paintings were hung at just the right height, and the finishing work around the house was meticulous. He clearly takes pride in his work, and it shows in the final result.

What really sets James apart is that he’s not just “doing a job” — he’s thoughtful, communicative, and genuinely wants things done right. My home looks better than it did before he arrived.

I met Bill as I was driving through my neighborhood and saw him replacing all the facia boards on a house. I needed similar work done on mine and I could see that the quality of work he was doing was very good, so I stopped and approached him about my house. He stopped over after finishing up for the day on that house and we walked around my house and negotiated a very fair price for him to do my work. As I observed previously, he did high quality work and even added a spot that he and I missed on our walk-around and did that without asking for more money. Bill and his team do great work. Bill comes to you looks at your job gives you a quote and schedules the date. He is very professional and we like that he is knowledgeable as far as engineering as well as electrical. He installed our cabinet hardware perfectly throughout our home, installed ceiling fans through the house and a shelving system in our ceiling in garage. We will definately have him here again soon to install vanity light fixtures and some exterior up lights in our front yard.

Bill did an amazing job closing up the wall to our office. We purchased a home with a wall that wasn't completely closed and it didn't block out any noise. Today, the wall was finished, my husband and I are very happy. Bill and his work crew are very professional, kind, and did an excellent job. We are amazed with the finished product. The next project will be painting the wall to match the rest of the house. I can't wait! :) I absolutely recommend Bill for any home projects. Monica and Kevin were both fantastic! I spoke with both on the phone before Kevin came to my house for the appointment. Both were friendly, professional, answered my questions. Kevin did a wonderful job with my oddjobs around the house, giving me advice on some things and helping me save as much money as I could with an add-on task. Hiring Handyman Connection was worth every penny, and I will definitely use their services again when needed in the future.

Although I received a lower quote to do the work, I hired Handyman Connection because of their professionalism and customer service both of which were outstanding! They came out to provide a quote and explained all aspects of the project to paint my exterior shutters. They began and completed the work per our agreed upon schedule and did a fan-freaking-tastic job! I would highly recommend.

I was extremely pleased! Dusty arrived right on time, went right to work, and finished quickly, He even took time to point out a minor flaw the the filing cabinet he assembled and carried the empty box to the garage for me. Besides that, Monica was extremely easy to work with when booking my appointment and on follow-up. I will definitely keep Handyman Connection in my contacts for future work!

Ryan was superb. Quick appointment for an estimate and got an appointment for the very next day. Ryan hung a heavy screen door for me. It’s wonderful and just what I wanted. He also was able to replace two of my pathway lights. I highly recommend Handyman Connection of McKinney to everyone. I will be calling them again when I have a repair need for sure!!

I am pretty happy with the work Josh has done twice at my house. He is very approachable, and even called on the second project to pick up supplies which he figured he needed rather than showing up without anything.
Any projects in the future, will always consider Handyman Connection as my first call.

I had called Handyman Connection of McKinney with a long list of home improvement projects I wanted done. They were great to work with just in getting everything set up. Dusty was the craftsman they sent to work on all my projects and I couldn't be happier. He did every job to perfection and took such care with each project making sure that every detail was done exactly right. I have already scheduled him to come back out for more projects I want done in the remodeling of my home.

Very responsive, even in emergency situations, such as roof leak that caused ceiling collapse during monsoon-level rains. Thank you, Christian! Also excellent outside deck reconstruction at several of my residences! Also, thank you Carlos for beautiful interior painting and trim work! I highly recommend this company, and I have been using them for many years.

Paul, the painter, recently painted our garage doors and stained our fence. He did an excellent job, very professional, covering all surrounding surfaces so paint & stain only went. Where paint & stain were supposed to go. We are very pleased with the job he did and will use Paul and Handyman Connect for any future projects we have.

We've used HMC several times before and they're always professional, courteous, knowledgeable and kind. Jordan, Taylor, Monica, Josh and Dave all deserve a Starbucks! 😊
