We are extremely happy with our new pool from Riverbend Sandler Pools and would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering building a new pool. Their reputation, which was already well-known to us through friends and previous neighbors, is definitely well-earned.

The Consultation and Design Experience

Out of the four pool builders we interviewed, Riverbend Sandler's initial consultation was by far the most impressive. Their design consultant truly listened to our vision and asked a lot of thoughtful questions to understand exactly what we wanted. This stood in stark contrast to other companies that seemed more interested in telling us what they thought we needed. Riverbend delivered the most competitive price along with the best design that perfectly fit our needs and desires.

Construction and Project Management

Once the contract was signed and HOA approved, construction started on time and the pool itself progressed quickly and efficiently. Everything that Riverbend Sandler had under their direct control was done with great speed and efficiency. Our Project Manager was fantastic—very attentive, a great communicator, and a pleasure to work with.

The Only Hurdle: Pavilion Subcontractor

The only negative experience was with the subcontractor responsible for the covered pavilion. This part of the project took much longer than anticipated or planned, which ultimately impacted the final completion date of the entire project. We suspect this subcontractor may have simply been stretched too thin with too many concurrent jobs. However, it is important to note that the quality of the pavilion work was exceptionally high. Multiple inspectors of the structure noted the great structural design and solid build quality.

Final Thoughts

Overall, we are very happy with the end product. The quality of the pool build is outstanding. The delay caused by the subcontractor was frustrating, but everything Riverbend Sandler controlled directly was executed flawlessly. If we had to do it all over again, the only thing we would change is our approach to the pavilion: we would have chosen to build the pool first and then add the pavilion afterwards.

Riverbend Sandler Pools delivered a superior product and service, and we couldn't be happier with the end product!

Once again Tom(service mgr.) and his team took care of my pool repairs in a very timely manner. A couple of months ago I called Tom for some repairs on my pool and within a day or so Tom was out to fix my pool. Last week I had a pool light go out and within a day his team came out to fix it. The worst pool servicing company ever! Run far and fast from this comany. They stopped sending our HOA invoices and consequently stopped servicing our pool. Now our pool needs majoring servicing because of their incompetence!! It is impossible to speak with anyone on the phone and no one responds to email. They have wasted so much of our time trying to get the situation fixed and now we have to deal with a filthy pool. Clearly they have grown far too much than they can handle. The way they treat customers is criminal. How can you stop servicing a neighborhood without communicating with them first??

Do not use this company!!! We started talking to them in July of 2023, and contracted with them in August of 2023 to build our pool and patio. The salesman Lee was fairly decent at the beginning, but is really not meant to be a salesperson. He provided a lackluster design that I personally altered and modified to come up with something we could tolerate. This should’ve been my first hint at how things were going to go!!
They started in September of 2023 and told us they’d try to be done by the end of the year, what a joke that was! The salesperson slowly became less and less responsive while the project manager kind of took over while they destroyed our front yard, cut our internet cable and went into the neighbors yard.
By the end of October they had made a good amount of progress and seemed to be on track. Then came months of barely any progress at all! Good luck getting ahold of anyone there or getting any kind of notice as to what they’re doing!
The end of the year came and went and still nothing was done, the only communication I got was asking for more money!!
They finally put some water in the pool in March! They took 6 months to get to that point, but wait it didn’t matter! We had no appliances, and the pool had a leak!! After days of continuing to fill it they finally sent someone to check it out and realized the pool had a leak! Can you imagine how frustrated we were???
A few weeks later and they drained the pool to fix the leak after I asked several times what was going on! They finally put the appliances in, but do you think they actually fully put them in? Of course not! The leak was fixed and we had to fill the pool all over again! So do you think they treated the pool and put chlorine in it afterwards?? Of course not! They let it grow algae and get so dirty that it smells!! But don’t worry the salesman reached out to me…..to try and sell me some service contract! What a joke!!! You’ve taken 7+ months to sort of complete my pool, allowed algae to grow in it, provided terrible communication and expect me to purchase your stupid service contract as if you’ll do a good job????
So here we are almost in May, still haven’t passed city inspection, have frogs living in our algae infested pool and all they care about is their money!!
Do not use this terrible company!!! I wish I could get my money and time back!

I used Riverbend Sandler Pools for a repair project on my pool. James Guice made my experience so seamless. He was on time and in budget, texting me with regular updates. He even coordinated with another department to ensure nothing fell through the cracks on a follow on renovation project. I would definitely recommend after my experience with James. Thank you!

Riverbend Sandler built my pool and it is magnificent. They are the best at building amazing pools.
I went with Riverbend Sandler for the weekly pool service because they built our pool. And the service for the first three years was great! Our pool tech was the best of the best.
Four years later, they don't show up on the regular scheduled days (or miss me altogether), the pool turned yellow / green twice, the pool techs don't clean thoroughly, don't inspect equipment, don't unwind the pool cleaner hose, communication is lack luster, etc.
In 2023, I can't tell you how many different pool techs we have been through. And we were paying top end pricing. I finally had to draw the line and say ENOUGH. I fired Riverbend Sandler and hired a new pool service company that is lower in cost, great reviews, professional pool techs and they guarantee their services.
Yes, Riverbend Sandler is an amazing pool builder, but when it comes to weekly service...They are no longer a company I can rely on.

1-13-24 Love RiverBend so much! Our pool was done November of 2022 and the CUSTOMER SERVICE STILL CONTINUES, It’s amazing! Today we were kinda panicking and Jason Ellis was so calm and helped us get our equipment working perfectly! I rarely give reviews but this one is worth it! I would like to share our wonderful experience with Riverbend Sandler Pools. We have always wanted a pool but were concerned about the nightmare stories we’d heard, but we went for and man are we glad we did! From start to finish the customer service, responsiveness, professionalism, integrity and work ethic was and still is amazing! Starting with Matt Hitchcock our sales advisor and designer. He was so patient, answered lots of questions, was consistent with follow through and checking on us EVEN AFTER THE SALE WOW! Dave Casper our project manager so supportive, encouraging, responsive with our million questions, text messages and phone calls. He reassured us over and over again everything would be great.THANK YOU DAVE, couldn’t have done this without you! After the pool construction was over we decided to go with pool maintenance with Riverbend. Trey in the service department was so kind, responsive and knowledgeable, he even stopped by on his way home from work to make sure everything was ok. Abel our pool cleaner is amazing! He does such a thorough job, shows up every week consistently around the same time, and answers our thousand questions. He even showed me how to use our hand held vacuum and let me video him so we’d remember how to do.
Fiona in financing was so kind as well. We are so pleased with Riverbend Sandler and would HIGHLY recommend them again! If you’re thinking about getting a pool please only use Riverbend Sandler it’s worth the peace of mind and investment!

Very disappointed with their repair service department.
Text received on 2/12/26 that a tech would arrive on 2/13/26 between 1-5 pm. A day of PTO taken due to inspection/repair needed and access to the inside of the garage. No call, no show at 4:50 pm. Reach out via text asking if someone will be arriving today. Text back that the appointment has been rescheduled to 2/18/26.
2/18/26 arrives and no one has reached out by 2 pm so a call is made to the service department. Only to be told the inspection is scheduled for 2/19/26 now. Another day of PTO wasted with no call to advise of the date change.
This is absurd that now another 1/2 day of PTO will be taken due to no call/no show. They are quick to tell you that they require a $155 service call fee but have zero respect for your time.
We also have weekly maintenance with them and will be looking to move that business elsewhere.

We had an awesome experience trusting Riverbend Sandler in the construction of our dream backyard oasis. Everything from start to finish was excellent. Our pool designer Matthew Hitchcock did a great job understanding exactly what we wanted and worked on our design and 3d model until we were completely satisfied.
David McKinley, our Project Manager kept us updated during every step of the construction process. Mike and David were always available to answer questions and concerns.
Every crew involved was very professional, highly skilled, and respectful. The project was completed on time and our finished pool couldn't look closer to the 3D design! It is exactly as we imagine it.
Tom Epting did a fantastic job explaining every detail of our pool equipment in our pool school class.

Riverbend built our pool back in 2007 and James has been a great resource.
he originally trained me on all the pool equipment, helped me understand how it works and what needs to be done on an ongoing maintenance plan.
he communicated with me through the entire process.
He was prompt on installation day and ensured I was happy with the install and understood how to use the new app.

After shopping around we decided to go with Riverbend and I have to say it was the best decision! Everything from start to finish was done with excellence. Eric Noris did an amazing job designing our pool and listening to my concerns and being honest about what would or wouldn’t work for our space. Dave Casper supervised the construction phase and was great at communicating with us and answer ALL my questions no matter how big or small. The construction crew was excellent under Dave’s supervision. Both Eric and Dave stayed engaged with us throughout the process and it really felt painless. Our pool turned out amazing…better than I could have ever imagined. I would definitely build with them again and have recommended them to all of our neighbors and friends. Our heater, which was quite old, went out over the weekend. I contacted James Guice, my technician who came out in a very timely manner. He gave me repair/replacement options and had all work done fast!

Riverbend Sandler built our pool about 4 years ago and have been completely satisfied. We get lots of compliments on the design and the glass bead finish. Since then, we have had some minor issues here and there and they have stood behind their work every single time.

More importantly, our service technician James, is hands down best pool repair tech we have ever worked with. He communicates his schedule ahead of time and reaches out to diagnose the issue so he has what he needs to get our pool back up and running. He got our heater back up and running a couple months ago and most recently, he fixed our pool lights. We are so happy to have them ready for swim season. The color and coverage is so much better. Riverbend Sandler Pools made our dream backyard come true! Hank was our designer and he transformed an idea I had from a sketch drawing to the perfect design. He took the time to review our wish list, explained options, and completely understood our style. You can tell from the Riverbend Sandler showroom that they are pioneers in the industry with quality work and innovative building techniques that other pool builders are not doing with their construction. These details are what set them apart from other builder’s quotes we received. Hank was always available for questions throughout the construction process and worked with our project manager for any design changes. Ron was our project manager and he was available through text/call whenever we had questions. He resolved any concerns that came up during the process. The crews they use for different phases were professional, friendly, and worked well with separate contractors I used for different parts of our project. Tom was very helpful and personable during Pool School. We didn’t feel rushed at all and he took the time to make sure we felt comfortable before leaving.

Riverbend did a terrible job on our basic pool remodel project- a replaster and re-tile of our pool and spa. Unless you are willing to babysit Riverbend daily and have experience and willingness to identify poor workmanship yourself, hire another company. Riverbend has no real quality control measures in place and expects for the customer to point out workmanship problems. A few obvious workmanship problems that we had: Riverbend intentionally dumped concrete sludge down our main pool drain during the project, which ruined our pool pump; Riverbend's repeated inability to install 1"x2" pool tile in a straight line; Riverbend's inability to properly plaster an existing 4-edge infinity spa (water ran down only one wall of our spa after Riverbend's work - the plaster job had to be redone twice). Our project went through at least 3 different "project managers", and the project took several months, rather an expected week, to complete due to errors in workmanship.

We are extremely impressed with the service provided by Riverbend Sandler Pools. Their team is consistently professional, reliable, and thorough in every aspect of pool care—from routine cleaning to full maintenance.
