Plumbing reviews in Rockwall, Texas

I had an issue with a shower drain in a rental home the previous owner did not install properly. This was easy to schedule. The guy arrived on time and was very professional and the job was done quickly and reasonable. I had a great experience.

PLEASE PLEASE do not use this company unless you have money to throw away. I gave 1 star because they are prompt. I contacted the owner and have yet to get an answer or anything.
I got royally screwed when I called them out for a leak and needed an estimate.
It turned out to be the toilet seal and flange needed to be replaced.
I was charged $ 660.00 (he said he gave me a 75.00 discount). to replace a wax seal (6.98) and a flange (17.98), Home Depot prices.
Once he detected the problem took less than an hour to fix. I paid 620.00 for labor.
I will never ever call them again, they took advantage of my situation.
I called 2 other plumbers and was told I should not have been charged this amount. This is being over billed.
Thank you for reading. -
We had a water leak in our front yard and could not figure out where it was coming from. Randy was in the area and responded quickly. He was able to pinpoint the source. We set up an appointment for the next day when his crew could come out to dig and fix the pipe. They were professional and provided great service. Would recommend.

My AC line was backing up in master sink. They came in and did the job the same day I called. Very responsive would recommend. Can't comment on pricing because I did not shop around for estimates. I probably could have gotten a cheaper deal if shopping around but wanted the issue dealt with promptly.

After researching local plumbers, I contacted Staggs to get an estimate for a home project. When the technicians arrived they were very nice and knowledgeable but after giving me an estimate they charged me a $59 service fee that would be credited to me if I used their service (Note: the website advertises FREE estimates). I called their office and was informed that the estimate was free but service fee was for them driving to my house which makes it not a free estimate.

EXCEPTIONAL! Staggs is a family owned and operated Texas company, which did some fantastic plumbing work for my family. The owner, Randy, and his son, Matt, personally ensure 100% customer satisfaction, and they won’t stop until the job meets all customer expectations. They are courteous, timely, humble, and professional. You won’t find better.

I was surprised to find out after the guys came through that I owed them $178 for about 20 minutes of inspection and discussion about what I wanted done in my house. But then I was assured that that amount would apply towards the future work they would do, including installation of a whole home water filtration system. Then I got the estimate. It was way over what I thought was reasonable for the installation, but the quote to fix my sink seemed fair. Fortunately, I found another company to install the filtration system for $5000 less than what Staggs quoted me (and they did it the same day). Then I thought I could get Staggs to do the fair portion of the quote. Nope. That job was too small to justify driving out to only collect the remainder of what I would owe after subtracting what I had paid for the quote. They would have to more than double the price they quoted to make it worth their while. It turns out, the quoted price to fix the sink was contingent on me having them install the water filtration system. That was not made clear either in the quote or verbally.
I think it's possible, allegedly, that Staggs intentionally provides quotes for work that no one will agree to pay for and collect fees for these quotes knowing that no one will ever ask them to do the actual work. And if someone naively agrees to pay them their exorbitant fee, that's great, too. They would win either way in this hypothetical scenario that may or may not be similar to fraud, a scam, or deceptive business practice. Luckily, there are other plumbers in town. -
Prompt, professional and PRICEY. CALL AROUND AND ASK ABOUT PRICING AT SEVERAL PLACES BEFORE YOU ASK STAGG TO SHOW UP TO YOUR HOUSE. I had a clogged toilet and they came out the next day. The workers were professional and did a good job. They were open about pricing before they started working. They charged $225 to snake the line from the toilet itself and $375 to reset and reseal the toilet. I paid $600 total. I knew before hand the cost but know you can get this work done much cheaper. They sent 3 guys and I wonder if I was paying for labor on all 3. My regular guy was too booked up to get here soon enough but would have charged half as much. Next time I’ll just wait. They do good work but know you will pay for it.

Staggs Plumbing is wonderful! Randy is very professional and does a great job, both times we have used Staggs the job was done correctly and was reasonably priced for the service. They are able to assist you at any time and Randy, the owner is very communicable on getting the appointment set up and also gives you a call to let you know when he is on his way. Would highly recommend for any plumbing needs and will be using again in the future!

Outstanding!
This is a family owned and operated company that provides quality work and exceptional customer service. They were polite, professional, and efficient. I called because I needed a new dishwasher installed and it required new pipes and hoses. April (office manager/dispatch?) was very kind and helpful and scheduled an appointment for me. Matt and Juan came out first thing the next morning and took care of everything I needed and were even kind enough to look at some other work that I wanted done. They are very knowledgeable and affordable. They clean up after themselves and wear booties over their shoes to keep your floors clean. Will definitely use them for future projects! Be sure to ask for Matt! -
Found on the Better Business Bureau website and requested an appointment online. Mr. Staggs personally called me found out what was going on and then had his scheduling person call me to set an appointment. It was evening and they were able to schedule me the next morning. They showed up first thing in the morning with convenient text message updates about them being in route.
They showed up in a company truck. They were both very polite and knowledgeable. I needed some new pipes and disposal. They were finished with the job in about an hour. They were EXTREMELY clean!!! They brought their own trash bag and paper towels... the only way I could tell they were here is all the new stuff under my kitchen sink. Josh and Matt are absolutely great guys and very professional. I will definitely be using this company again. -
Derrian, Trent, and Raphael were fantastic. Derrian has been here before on a previous job and has won my trust! Professional, very friendly, and the quality of work was outstanding! Staggs is now my "go to" plumbing company... period!!

HORRIBLE experience with Staggs!!!!! Our tankless water heater started leaking carbon monoxide, they said they would send an emergency plumber to take a look last Thursday. The guy who showed up said we needed a tankless water heater specialist and that they would come out Friday, even though my husband told them it was tankless while on the phone booking the original appointment. On Friday the guys who showed up didn't do anything and sat around for 2 hours waiting on the appliance company to call them, then said they would come back Monday. On Monday they were a no show and said no follow-up was scheduled even though on the $200 invoice it said a follow-up was needed! So much for emergency plumbing! They had zero rush or care that it was leaking carbon monoxide. We fired them and ended up going with Baker Brother's Plumbing who got us a quick appointment and within 5-10 minutes of being here, he was able to quickly detect the issue and fix it! Tell me why Stagg plumbing couldn't do that? Oh, because they didn't even try! DO NOT USE THEM!

Jesse and Brent showed up right in the middle of my appointment window, which is basically Olympic gold in the world of service timing. I described the strange sink behavior, and they immediately said they “probably” knew what it was. That level of confidence with a hint of mystery? Impressive.
They jumped into action like a plumbing superhero duo and had all three of my bathroom sinks running smoother than a fresh jar of peanut butter. They were professional, friendly, and knew exactly what they were doing. Honestly, if I have another plumbing issue, I’m calling Stagg again and begging them to send these two legends back out.
I gave them five stars because that’s the most the system allows. If I could, I’d add fireworks and a standing ovation. -
Garrett listened to the suspected problems and noises that was hearing. He investigated to find previous plumbing not done correctly. He was awesome to explain, take pictures, and fix everything with a great smile. Garrett worked in a hot attic all day and did an excellent job!!
Such a nice attitude and professional. -
Lol. Had a clogged sink drain. They came right out. I was informed of the $69 call out fee. Which would be waived if we proceeded. I was informed it would be over $400 dollars to snake a simple drain. I refused, but of course had to pay $69 dollars for the call out fee. Went to home depot and bought a $25 drill snake. Had it open in 2 minutes. Think twice before losing $69.

Great experience. Quick, efficient, personable, fair price, simple and clear cut solution. Helpful as to go over the top, and ask if there is anything else he could do while he was here. I thought of our water pressure that isn't great in guest baths, and he helped with that, at no extra charge. Polite. Thanks Justin for great service. Definitely keeping this companies name for all future plumbing needs!
We got our dishwasher pipe rerouted, and advice for removing the unnecessary overflow on top of the counter. -
