Love these guys! They do excellent work and have been the only company I can depend on to really root-cause an issue and solve it the first time out. They are really a good company to work with and are always prompt and professional. I recommend them!

My air conditioner was not cooling. The service tech walked up to my outside unit and declared my coils were filthy and that was my problem. I new then I had someone that just wanted the $60. I had my coils cleaned 60 days ago. You could even see they were clean. He never pulled out any gauges. Only held his hand over the fan and restated "yes it's those filthy coils" I just wanted him gone.

Nathan's team installed a new unit after my old one failed and now the house is so cold even though it's above 100 degrees outside. If you need any AC work done, call him, he will explain everything in detail and does excellent work.

I'm always skeptical of AC companies, because we have had bad advice, installation, and poor customer service in the past. That is so far from our experience with TE. I know with 100 percent certaintity that they are doing what is best for us and our home. That peace of mind is priceless! They are helpful, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. They'll by my HVAC people as long as I have a home!

Do NOT use these guys. They are part of a home warranty scam where if they are sent by the home warranty company, all they do is look at the outside unit (even if that's not the problem) and report that its "improper maintenance" from dirty compressor coils in order to legally absolve the home warranty company of having to pay anything. I had three other HVAC technicians come out tell me my coils were clean and my issue was with the evaporator coil in the attic.

Terrible, what a let down. Had great service from them before but this time I have been without a/c for 13 days in July with a sick elderly father, sad thing is I really liked Nathan the last two times he helped me. They charged me an emergency fee because they couldn't make it out on the day we called, and came out the next day to say I needed a part, which was disappointing but understandable. They didn't order the part until 4 days after my initial call!! I called to get an update 3 days later because they said the part would be in 2-3 later (expecting to schedule the service) and asked for a tracking number or who they ordered the part from because they said they had no idea when it would be in. They refused to give me the info but they did give me the part number. I went to Amazon and found 30 of the parts available for overnight delivery. It took 8 days for them to get it. I was told it would be fixed in 2-3 days from the initial call, now it's been 13 days and I had to escalate this through my Home Warranty company to get it done today when the part finally came in this morning. They stopped answering my calls and never returned my messages over a week ago, but when my Home Warranty co calls them, they pick right up! I was originally told the part would be installed the day it was received and then today was told he can't until Monday 7/13 because....wait for it...I had to have my boyfriend call from his number so they would answer and he found out the tech was in a continuing education class all week....in JULY...in TX with an emergency work order assigned to him and the emergency service fee has already been paid and A/C out for 13 days! We have had to pay to buy window units, borrow units from friends and neighbors and my poor old daddy has been very sick due to heat and we can't afford to stay in a hotel! Just a huge let down, it is a very helpless feeling to be at the mercy of a company like this! I stuck with them through this because they lied each time my warranty company called them and said the parts would be in and fixed before now. I didn't want to have to start the wait over with another company. Never again. If my house blows up or a deadly cobra appears in my bedroom tonight, it's because Nathan is at my house right now attempting to fix my a/c while I am writing this review and he has received a notice from BBB that I filed a complaint, he might be angry about this. As I am typing this he has replaced the part but it’s not working and he has left my house again without fixing my a/c

I am so pleased with the service that Nathan provided to us. He knew right away what the problem was with our AC unit, and at no time at all, he replaced what needed to be replaced and cleaned what needed to be cleaned. He was knowledgeable and very professional. I will definitely use Nathan and Total Environmental Cooling and Heating again!
Thank you for the excellent service! My family and I are very pleased!
Thanks,

Outstanding company. We have had 3 or 4 companies come through to repair our HVAC sytem every six months - these guys found a leak nobody else could and saved us from having to spend thousands on a system replacement, all within the same day we called. Highly recommend for all your home HVAC needs!

I use them every year for my annual HVAC checkups. They are always in the time window and techs are polite and explain things to you.
The last few years I haven't needed any additional work and they only charge the inspection fee. I feel like I can trust them not to "make up" things I don't need.
The first year I used them was right after I bought my house and they found an issue in the system. They worked with my home warranty company to get the repair covered. Later that day, one of the welds busted on the repair and they came back out late that evening to fix it. It meant a lot that they didn't make me go without AC all night, they stepped up and got it done. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! -
They charged me $60 to clean the coil on the outside unit. It wasn't cleaned. I've had another repair guy to give me a 2nd opinion on what the problem was and the first thing he said was that the unit needed a thorough wash of the coils. I paid for a service that was NEVER DONE.
Then I was told that the compressor needed replacing. Given the unit is 12 yrs old, I figured OK and was charged $1,300 for installing one. Two days later, the unit isn't working again.
Called them out again, and this time was told it was leaking and they had to do an isolation test which would take 2 days. They did the test and told me it was leaking all over the place and I would need a new unit because there was no way to fix all the leaks. Price: $3,500.
THAT is when I called another company to come take a look and tell me what was wrong and found out Total hadn't even cleaned it when I paid for that service. I also found out that they had cut the lines & welded them shut to do a pressure test for leaks, and left them that way! They didn't even return them to the original configuration, so for anyone else to work on it I have to have them welded back!!!!
Now I'm thinking I probably didn't need a compressor, either, and I want my money back on this scam. Not only for the non-cleaning, and the compressor I probably didn't need, but for a reputable company to fix what they've done so they can tell me what REALLY is the problem.
Don't use these people - they are dishonest and you always have to leave a message - they never answer their phone. -
Horrible! They were contracted through my home warranty (trust me, I would not have picked them) to fix a hole in my a/c coil. They fixed the hole, but did not know enough to check or clean the rest of the unit. When this caused further problems and these new techs couldn't figure it out after four visits over two weeks, the owner came out. He easily figured out that the unit has been run dirty do to his techs not knowing enough and told me that it had destroyed my unit. He explained that both his techs were "just out of school" and "didn't have enough experience" to know better. He admitted they should have done different. When I asked him to make it right, he offered me a new unit at full price plus $2000 labor saying it was an "unbeatable" deal! I took his "deal" to several other companies and they all laughed at it saying it was overpriced and that they knew Total Environmental to do bad work. I asked the owner again to make it right and he refuses to answer me. I have contacted TDLR, the BBB, and will take this to small claims court now. Not worth the hassle. Please go with another company. No integrity here!!!!

My experience with Total Environmental has been amazing from start to finish. The women in the office are prompt and really nice. My appointment was set within 24 hours and the service tech was ontime and professional. T.E. was able to repair my unit the same day and for a reasonable cost. I highly recommend them!

My AC was acting funny, sometimes worked, sometimes didn't. Unfortunately when they came out the first time it was acting fine. Of course, my luck. However, the technician was so thorough, went through everything, and EXPLAINED to me what he was doing. He didn't just rush to get it done, but actually cared to take care of me. When he couldn't find the issue, he reassured me that there was a 30 day warranty and they would come back if it started acting up again. Of course, it started acting up over the weekend. The owner took my emergency call, was super kind and helpful, and talked me through trouble shooting. I opted to not have them out on Sunday. However, they came out on Monday. The technician went through it all, and found my issue this time. He was kind, patient, and talked me through everything. I felt like they were honest people, trying to do the right thing. I would HIGHLY recommend them!

In the worst summer in years, this company is able to squeeze in one more customer to bring quick relief. The tech was in and out of my house in 30 minutes. I was highly impressed with his knowledge. One quick look at my unit, conformation with his meter, and one trip back to the truck for parts, we were cooling down in minutes. Highly knowledgeable, skilled, and professionable. I’ll recommend them anytime

This company was sent out by our home warranty company to repair our AC. They repaired our AC issues but did not plug everything on the control panel back in. Our home warranty expired in September, the same month total environmental repaired our AC. Now that it has started getting cold we tried turning on our heater and it would not work. We were referred to another company who came out within a few hours of calling. The tech opened our control panel and said “someone did not plug everything back in, here’s your problem” he plugged it all up and our heater is now working perfectly. He wrote us an invoice and said call the company who did the work, if they’re a good company they’ll make it right. We started with our warranty company since they’re the ones that sent Total Environmental out. After getting the run around they said this was on Total Environment and to speak with them. We called Total Environmental and explained our situation. They argued, became defensive and sarcastic and refused to help us. Happy Thanksgiving, Total Environmental. We will not be using you or ever referring your services. You had one job, thanks for wasting our money

I had a great experience with Nathan and Jim. They were communicative, professional, friendly, and talked me out of an expensive replacement. Our air conditioner hasn't worked properly the last few days despite having had another company look at it this past weekend. These two really got in there to find the issues. Our house is finally cool again. I will use this company again.

Great personable and knowledgeable service. Nathan and his team have taken care of our temperamental systems very well. We are so glad that we signed up for the routine checkup coverage. We greatly appreciate your integrity.

Everyone did a great job getting our system back up and running!!, thanks to all!

I have used them many times and they always go above and beyond normal service calls. I appreciate I can call the owner when I have a problem and he makes himself available. Thank you Nathan and Total Environmental Cooling & Heating!

This company was assigned our case through our home warranty. Spoke with the lead today, and he was able to work us in for an expedited appointment for an additional fee (which was cheaper than what the home warranty company was offering for assistance in getting us taken care of over the weekend where the Heat index was over 110°). The tech came out and was very polite and knowledgeable, explained why the previous company made the recommendations they made, however, the previous company did not fulfill the job, nor did they explain the importance of balance in levels (more does not always equal better). Explained that he was a junior tech, with two years of experience in the field. But, with his communication, I told him I felt very confident in his assessment as he went throughout the house and even up into the attic. He was kind and explained things thoroughly (we are fully not educated in the functionality of the HVAC). Did not attempt to upsell us, even when I was asking for suggestions and giving the opportunity. He gave us his number to call back in case the house continued to not cool. He did say we would not need to call super home warranty for callbacks, but, so far with super, that is not how anything has ever worked. Hoping we don’t have to call them back until it is for regularly scheduled maintenance!

I scheduled an air-conditioning system tune up through my home warranty. Per the warranty guidelines, a free tune up can be scheduled between Feb-April. I scheduled it in Feb.
Unfortunately when the technician arrived he shared that he could not check refrigerant levels because it was too cold. He also said he did not bring their own hose to clean the coils on the outdoor unit because they don’t typically do AC tune ups at this time. Unfortunately our hose didn’t provide enough water pressure.
Other than that the technician was polite and explained what he was doing. I was just disappointed they did not tell me to schedule the tune up later or come prepared.
