I put off trimming my large tree in front for over a year. Limbs were touching power lines and I had roots coming up in the front yard. As anyone would do I got several quotes, some were far less than Mission City but the difference was the communication. When reviewing the work that needed to be done they told me exactly how they were going to do it and answered all my questions which other companies could not or did not. The guys doing the work took their time and made thoughtful cuts and even asked if I wanted certain limbs cut that could be a problem in the future. All limbs were lowered and loved that they were careful while working off the roof and especially since the shingles were new. Once they were done, they made sure to pick up all limbs, sticks and leaves not only from my yard but from my neighbors yard which was affected by the work.
They left my yard clean and definitely would recommend them again. Yes you may pay a little more with Mission City Arbor but it totally worth it with the type of work they do.

My girl has used them multiple times for services which were not the easiest, based on her recommendation I’ve now used Mission City Arbor Group three times. Twice for pruning and trimming and once for a sick pecan tree removal.

They’ve always been extremely courteous, professional, and efficient.

For this last go around, Carlos, Alberto, and Wilmer were pruning my red oak that desperately needed it. They said up to four hours but I think they finished in less time; since I work from home at times I wasn’t paying attention to their work time and they let me know when they were done.

They cleaned up everything nicely and save for a better looking tree, you’d not know they were ever there.

I highly recommend their services and very much appreciate their efficient service along with honest pricing without any bs games or attempts to upsell you.

Ive engaged Out on a Limb nearly every year for the last 22 years. Randy is so expert at knowing exactly what needs to be trimmed and how much. He was especially needed after our 2 snows here in San Antonio. He instructs onsite team and follows up if needed. Such a pleasure to work with Out on a Limb!

Besides me telling them to be careful of the yellow-billed cuckooss in our tree, and no, they are NOT grackles, this tree service people completely ignored our wishes. My mother and I love nature and all her treasures. Besides breaking the new skirt that we just put on the house 5 days before and the fact that this crew did not speak English or Spanish, found that out later...unfortunately; we are both very unhappy. I'm grateful that Randy gave us back $75 for our handymen labor to replace the piece for our skirt but still...my mother and I are highly displeased. Hopefully, they got all the dead and overgrown branches off our Arizona Ash. Great price but lousy communication, skills in handling wildlife, and being careful with folk's property.

During the recent, February, 2023 Central Texas Hill Country ice storm, I called Randy Bixby @ "Out On A Limb" tree service with concerns about ice overloading some of my very large Live Oak Trees. The very next morning, while the ice storm was still in full swing, Randy showed up and helped me "unload" these Live Oak Trees to prevent further tree damage. Two days later, Randy and one of his skilled service teams showed up to clean up all of the downed tree limbs and to cut and cap the trees wounds. I have used "Out On A Limb" tree service for some twenty years; they do a phenomenal job at a reasonable price. I highly recommend Randy Bixby and "Out On A Limb" Tree service.

Our next door neighbor recommended Randy's "Out On A Limb Tree Care Co." We had a huge dying Cedar Elm, it was taller than our 2nd story house! The crew came early and went right to work; they were very careful not to damage our surrounding plants, shrubs and nearby brick wall. The crew was professional and pleasant. They chainsawed & shredded the tree limbs and they cleaned our gutters, too. They cleaned everything up and left our front and back yards as neat as they were before they arrived!
