Upsetting, disappointed and dissatisfied with my services. I regret having ever called this company. Two out of three jobs came out ok. Unwanted trees were removed fine from front yard, fence lines and backyard and all of it cleared and clean. But while on time and proper equipment the tree team had no idea what they were doing and destroyed our prized sycamore tree. They simply went by a picture of what was to be done. Those who are knowledgeable about trees, which they as an “arbor group” are supposed to be, would know how to properly trim a sycamore. The team lead Hugo reassured me they were experienced with this type of tree and how to trim it. Whatever the directions were his team absolutely butchered my tree, and where once there was beauty and nature, now there is only a sad reminder of what can happen when “professionals “ have no idea what they are doing. Decades of natural growth on a healthy tree were simply chopped off. Now I don’t even want to look at it as really there isn’t much to look at anymore. Neighbors have asked what happened and I just tell them it’s my fault for not doing the work myself, not watching, or going with someone else. Even worse is I paid over $600 to destroy my own tree for a 10% discount. You just never know I guess. Just beware if you have a special tree that needs specialized care. I hope no one else has such a horrible experience.

We needed to have a couple of oak trees removed and Mission City Arbor Group did another wonderful job getting it taken care of neatly and expeditiously. They cut up the oaks into usable sizes and cleaned up very thoroughly afterward as usual. I highly recommend Mission City Arbor Group.

I have twelve mature live oaks that haven’t had a maintenance pruning in years. Also had some limbs over power lines and neighbors property that needed to be trimmed. I called Mission City based on a neighborhood recommendation. I am very pleased with the results. Scott and his crew showed up on time and did thorough, professional work. Communication was excellent throughout and the price was competitive.

We had a huge tree branch fall in the middle of the night, and by morning, my husband was outside trying to cut what he could. That’s when Scott from Mission City Arbor Group happened to drive by — and instead of just passing, he kindly stopped and offered to help. He didn’t have to, but he did, which speaks volumes about his character and the integrity of this company. You don’t come across that kind of kindness and professionalism every day. Excellent service and we were so impressed with the results! From the initial consultation with Dave to Arturo and his team, the entire process was smooth, professional, and efficient. The crew arrived on time, conversed with us and explained the process and listened to our requests. They trimmed and shaped our trees beautifully. Their attention to detail stood out and they cleaned up as they were working and did a fantastic job.. A highly reliable, skilled and professional tree service company. The Crew arrived on time. They went right to work and performed an excellent job of trimming my Oak trees. I was particularly impressed with the job they did trimming my neighbor's Cedar tree limbs that were overhanging my roof and driveway. That to me was the main focus of the job, and they nailed it. They blew the debris off my roof and cleaned up all the debris that dropped in my neighbor's yard and my yard (Zero lot line houses, so a lot of overlap. They completed the job in about a half day, and the result is very pleasing. Thank you.
Regrettably, I did not get the three gentlemen's names, but they worked well together and performed and excellent job.

Mission City Arbor provided an excellent service. Not only did they cut back the tree limbs from the house but they trimmed back all of our shrubs, provided care and maintenance advise for our plant care. They also fertilized our trees and shrubs. The cleanup left our exterior home in perfect condition.

Mission City Arbor Group is awesome! They've been out to our house three times (so far). We are on a 5-acre lot with blackjack and live oaks, mostly. In September 2023, we wanted to check the health of our biggest two trees (they call them “legacy oaks!”). They cleaned off the deadwood, assessed the health, and did a nutrient injection around the drip lines. We like our land a little wild, and we kind of like the branches that swoop low, and they were very careful to not over-trim. All the workers were very nice – when we went out to see how it was going, they seemed happy to see us and talk about what they were doing, how it was going, what they were finding, and the like.
Every time they came out to give us an estimate, they were clearly about what was best for the trees, and never tried to sell me any extra services. The focus was the trees and what we needed. And the estimates were true; three for three, we paid what they quoted. We brought them out two more times (March 2024 and August 2024) to work on other trees, and it’s been a positive experience every time. We’re definitely using them again. Our trees like them. (We do too.)

We are getting ready to redo our backyard and build a deck but we were concerned because we had established trees as well as newer ones that were planted when we bought the property. Mission city sent us Scott, their arborist, and he was able to not only formulate a plan for all our trees but he also gave us a really reasonable price that stayed within our budget for the project. The guys were here two days before Christmas and Fernando’s team was great. They were quick and efficient and even raked the leaves up in our yard for us. The space looks so much better now and they were even able to preserve the squirrels nest I asked them to watch out for. We will most definitely be calling back for additional work next year. Everything about their services from a very fair quote from a knowledgeable arborist to the professionalism of the crew performing the work was excellent. The property was respected, the project completed in a timely manner and the property was cleaned up beautifully. Highly recommend.

Scott was able to provide me with an assessment of my two young Monterrey Oaks soon after I called. His recommendations made sense and the estimate for work sounded very reasonable. His four man crew arrived when promised and made quick work of the pruning. They did a great job of cleaning. Yes, I will definitely use them again!

We had a beautiful oak tree on the side of our house that died due to the Tx drought. We reached out to Mission City for an estimate, the owner showed up promptly and he was fantastic & super easy to talk with, no pressure sales. We had the tree cut down about 2 months later when we where sure it was not coming back. The guys doing the heavy lifting, Hugo & Alonso we're extremely careful not to run over our sprinkler heads and we're cautious about the surrounding fence and the windows in our house. They did a fantastic methodical job and grounded up all the branches, and hauled away the bigger pieces of wood. Later that day another gentleman arrived to grind the stump down, he was super easy to do business and was very friendly and I asked him to shave off an existing larger root and he took care of that too, overall Mission City did a FANTASTIC job for a very reasonable price! I've met with several specialists but felt a connection with Scott because of his patient explanation and educating me about the hole on the side of my very large mature tree. I thought the tree was dying but in his inspection he advised the tree will live for years. I plan to contract Mission the next time we have to trim the tree. He advised not to trim until next year. His estimate to trim was reasonable. Very honest company...

Mission City Arbor Group did a great job trimming my trees. They fixed a lot of improper cuts previously made to my oak trees by other people. My trees look really good now.
The crew was great. Skilled and hard working. Thank you Fernando, Carlos, and the other man with them. I do not remember what his name was, but all three did an outstanding job. They also cleaned up very well when they were finished. I am recommending them to my neighbors and I will continue to use them to take care of my trees in the future.

Dealing with Mission city Arbor has been a fabulous experience. They responded quickly to my request for an estimate and I was able to schedule the work when I needed it done. Scott, Hugo, and Alonso showed up early on Monday morning. Scott went over the order with me and Hugo and Alonso quickly got to work. Hugo and Alonso did a fabulous job. The tree looks good. The hanging deadwood seems to be gone and then they did a great job of cleaning up.. Everyone was polite and professional. Give them a call if you need your trees trimmed.

We’re building a pool and patio and two of our established trees are in the way. Scott with Mission City Arbor came to our home to evaluate and discuss pros and cons of moving and transplanting an existing cedar elm or choosing a different tree for our space. Scott was very friendly and very knowledgeable. We have a better idea now of what to do for best success as well as other options we hadn’t thought about.
Deciding to remove the large cedar elm and red oak trees was the right choice. Alonso and Hugo did a great job removing the two trees and hardly disturbed the flowering plants around them. Alonso and Hugo cleaned up afterwards and aside from the two holes you’d never know they were there. They mulched the debris on the spot removing and cleaning up all trace of their work. Seeing how hard they labored to remove the cedar elm we made the right choice after consulting with Scott, it probably would not have survived the transplant- planting a new tree after our pool project is complete is a better choice. I recommend Mission City Arbor for any of your tree needs. They are knowledgeable and hard working. Scott, Alonso, and Hugo were great to work with.

Excellent work. Gave me good advice, a competitive quote, and their work is amazing! Cut a huge pecan branch so CPS could hang main power line higher and get me up to code. Mission City Arbor was prompt and courteous from Dave's estimate to scheduling/billing. Tree trimmers showed up at 8am, did excellent, quick yet complicated work, and left no mess at all. I couldn't be happier! Thank you Mission City Arbor Group!!

The guys at Mission City Arbor Group are amazing. They first helped me with the tress at my new home and now they did a wonderful job putting up my Christmas lights. They are friendly and very knowledgeable. I will always go to them for my trees and Christmas lights.
