My AC had trouble cooling down our place in the middle of summer, so I called this business to see their availability. Less than an hour later, a technician shows up and our AC is working again! So thankful that we have cool air now.

Very professional. Walked me through the entire process, was out the next day on time and had my new HVAC system installed and working perfectly. Showed me step by step on how to work the new digital thermostat. They even completed all paperwork and took pictures for warranties and rebates with CPS. 1604 made the whole process 100% stress free. I highly recommend them.

They were very responsive initially and friendly. On the original quote due to the hot room in the back, added a return to the quote and didn’t install. After calling constantly due to problems for 4 plus months and replacing unit and duct work, would not recommend. Still pending them to come back out and perform what was quoted. Now that it is cold, thinking they didn’t hook up a few things correctly and now lost electricity in many outlets around the house.

We had 1604 Air Conditioning & Heating at the house for a regular service call December 2'20. Craig Taylor arrived around 9 am and was by far the friendliest person anyone could be. We have the humongous house size 16x20x4 filter. I believed it may have needed to be changed. He showed me the trick of holding it up to the light. If light shines through, it is alright. As Dave Ramsey says, Craig has the heart of a teacher! We talked about tools, old Volkswagen beetles and much more during his 20 minutes at my house. While in the attic, Craig offered to pass down the Christmas decorations. I even know his best friend is a paramedic with the last name Taylor. Us Taylor's can be some pretty cool guys. I couldn't recommend a friendlier team to maintain my AC/Furnace.

I wish I could give 0 stars! Called them out because our upstairs was not cooling at all. When they got here they first tried to say we would need a new outside unit (which is less than 2 years old), new inside unit, and a new thermostat totalling almost $11000!! Plus he told us that we needed to hurry up and make a decision because while they had the parts in today they probably wouldn't have them tomorrow (really??!!). We turned them down and called another company. When the other company arrived he actually showed us where the upstairs unit had been tampered with so that the wires weren't connected and then when he checked the thermostat those wires had been disconnected as well! Now I'm no electrician so I can assure you I wouldn't have even known how to disconnect anything. The second company fixed the damage this company caused and fixed the underlying issue (cleaned the condenser coil) for $325. A far cry from the $11000 we were quoted by this company. STAY AWAY!!! SCAM ARTISTS AT WORK!!!

I had a problem with my AC today and Angel arrived to trouble shoot the problem. He checked my unit from the attic to the outdoor unit and we could not replicate the sound I was concerned about, but he showed me several things to look out for and was very professional and informative.
It is not often that you get someone who delivers this level of customer service these days, so I wanted to share this positive experience and thank 1604 Air conditioning and heat for this excellent level of service!
You just made a customer for life!

When my air conditioner went out, I called 1604 Air Conditioning and immediately was impressed with their customer service. I called after hours and they scheduled me for an emergency repair for 9am the next morning. They showed up right on time, troubleshot the issue in minutes and had me going in under 30 minutes. They even had the part I needed in the truck when they arrived. They are honest and friendly professionals. Bravo!

My kids 2 year old AC wasn't working so they called 1604 out to come look at the problem. Even while it was still under warranty they were quoted $2,800 for the repair. When they called me to see if something stunk we called our local company and was told it shouldn't cost over $1,000 to fix. They ended up contacting a different company and ended up getting it fixed for well under $1,000. From other reviews it appears that 1604 has a history of taking advantage of others. Stay away!

We were really happy with them at first but the level of service went downhill fast. Really questionable quotes and sloppy installation became a norm. Our last request with them was to replace our AC drip pan…it took 6 months for them to tell us that they couldn’t do it but absolutely took the opportunity to try and sell us on a system we didn’t need. Thanks but hard pass…

After reading all the great reviews, I called to get a bid for a replacement unit. They did get a gentleman out very quickly. When he arrived he quoted me 2 really high prices. I let him know that I am getting several bids. He then told me that he would go talk to his boss and "see" what he could do price wise. This was yesterday. As of today I never received a call or him returning with a new bid. Not exactly the best customer service. I give 2 stars because of the quickness of getting someone out quick, but the service after and the high price, I can say I will not be using them.

I had an excellent experience with 1604 Air Conditioning and Heating. All of my concerns were addressed promptly and all of the employees were very punctual. My new heat pump was installed on a rainy, muddy day and Johnny and Robert installed all of the indoor components without leaving one speck of dirt in my house. Gerald made sure all of my questions were answered and coordinated all work efficiently. I am confident that my new equipment has been installed correctly and will serve me well. A friend refered me to this company when my 20 year old HVAC was finally starting to go. They came out and looked at the old unit and were very clear honest with me on the state of my previous system. They came out and did a full replacement of my entire HVAC system at a resonable price including the duckwork in the attic. It took them around 9 hours for the full gut and install. Very professional and they followed up quickly for a minor issue that arose with the google Nest. No more Nest... no more issues. Very friendly guys, small biss owners so please be nice and they work fast. :)

I have had my unit for under a year and it just went out. Called to get a service call because it is under warranty. Danny “the only Danny” asked if this was under warranty and I said it was. Since it is under warranty he said he would be out tomorrow afternoon instead of doing an emergency repair. He then got frustrated with me because I told him that was unacceptable and be hung up on me.

I have a 7 and 2 year old in this house with no A/C. I will now have to call another company to get this fixed and pay them even though this is supposed to be under warranty. I paid for this warranty and the fact that they are not honoring it is criminal.

Update: Had another company just come out. Fixed the issue in under 30 minutes. Happily paid $130 for an “emergency” repair. Guy was nice and helpful.

If you're not using 1604 A/C for repairs or replacement, you're doing it wrong. After being told by our home warranty that it would be 10-14 days until their service would be able to fix our a/c, we called 1604. We had a technician out first thing in the morning. He first tried to save us $$ by fixing a part. When that wasn't successful, we were presented with several options. We chose to install a new system without any pressure. The install took place today and went quickly. The guys were all very professional and let us know what was going on every step of they way. We couldn't be happier with the result. They provide excellent, timely service for an unbeatable price.

We have had more than our fair share of AC problems since moving into our home. We are currently on our third A Coil, and had issues with some of the other installers out there.

The last system was totally replaced three years ago, and has been leaking apparently since new. I called 1604, explained my problem to Michelle, and had a guy sent out to meet me after work. He opened up the system, identified the leak, took all the information from the defective unit. The next morning, the owner arrived, cut out the bad unit, took it to the distributor and got it swapped out at no cost for the replacement unit.

He installed it in a couple of hours, and the house has never felt so good as it does right now.

They have done a great job, and we will continue to use 1604 Air Conditioning and Heating, great job!

Let me start by saying that we’ve used 1604 AC & Heating for years and I’m not sure if they sold in the last couple of years but I honestly feel scammed now that they’ve taken our money and business.
At the beginning of the summer (May 2022) our unit gave out so we called 1604 AC & Heating since we’d used them in the past for maintenance, well they came out and told us it was going to cost $13,531.25 to replace the unit (both outside & inside parts) and that that was the only solution to our problem. We of course were desperate and trusted their business so we agreed to the amount. They installed the new unit as agreed and it wasn’t until our second unit stopped working (we have 3 units on property) that we decided to call another company. They quoted us $6,900 for the same work but told us that at this time some Freon would fix our problem for the time being and we could wait to replace it later since we had just spent 14k on the ONE unit alone.
Obviously we’ve been ripped off, TREMENDOUSLY. The problem we are having now is that this company has failed to follow up with us as agreed upon. They said they would come inspect 1 month post installment to ensure everything was running the way it should and of course they’d respond to our concerns with the new unit as needed. We have been unable to get ahold of anyone outside of the answering service they have in place which apparently is the only one that answers their phones. No one can manage to call us back and at this point that kind of sucks considering we spent almost 14k with this business. At this point I would say take your business to a reputable company that isn’t going to overcharge you and of course never pay 14k for an AC unit. My aunt in California (near LA) just paid $6,400 to have a similar unit replaced (inside & out), for reference, so clearly we WERE ripped off.

In 2020 our AC finally gave out and we called around for quotes. 1604 was the cheapest and Robert discussed several options for us, all at a reasonable price. To date three years later there have only been a few issues but luckily none in the dead of summer. Clogged drain line was my maintenance issue. Another was an electrical issue where the unit plugged in blew in the attic. And now to recent events which was an AC issue. Unfortunately the blower motor went out and Goodman, out of Houston, could/would not get one here in a reasonable time. The rushed one but it was the wrong one and 1604 was left to feel our anger and frustrations. Long story short Robert has bee awesome for years and I feel bad he had to see/feel our frustrations. However he and Craig came through in the end.

The customer service, honesty and reliability of 1604 AC can't be beat. They are an amazing family owned business that genuinely cares about their clients. They installed our replacement unit in 2019 and have provided excellent service every single time we have used them since then.

Our family has been using 1604 Air Conditioning since we bought our house over a decade ago. I have to say that Craig has saved us quite a few times. One 4th of July our AC went south and I gave him a call. With two young kids in the July with no AC is uncomfortable to say the least.

He left his own gathering to come and replace a capacitor on my unit so we wouldn't be without during the long holiday weekend. That kind of thing just doesn't happen any more.

When our unit finally met it's end, we had 1604 replace our outside and inside units. It was very reasonably priced and I have not had any issue since. When we bought the new unit, it included a few complimentary maintenance visits to make sure our drain line was clean and everything was running as expected. I actually think we got more than just a few "free" visits to be honest. I continue to have him come out twice a year, once to get ready for winter and once to get ready for summer. It has given me piece of mind to know that he is on top of everything, totally worth it!
