Came home to a hot house on a Sunday afternoon! Called Above and Beyond. Cayla was very nice and said GM would call in 30 minutes. He called in less than 5 minutes with an estimated arrival time for technician. Technician, Gerald, texted to let me know his status and showed up when expected. Gerald was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose problem and fixed it right away. He showed me how to keep unit clean and what to look out for in the future. Gerald was excellent! I am very grateful for his prompt service. I highly recommend Above and Beyond!

The guys at Above and Beyond are real professionals. They installed my new Trane system last year, and they did a fabulous and timely job. Throughout the process they were responsive, accommodating, and timely. Since the install, they have been out for a check-up and a service call, and both times I felt very secure with their work. For the service call, they were out at my place within an hour, on a Saturday, after 8 o'clock. That's great service! Anyone in Texas knows that a down AC in the summer is an emergency, and these guys respond in kind. I'm very satisfied, and you will be too!

It is with distinct pleasure that I speak on the exemplary professionalism of Above and Beyond AC San Antonio, especially Dustin and Chris W. During one of the hottest days in San Antonio my AC stopped working. I was immediately scheduled for the next day-which was amazing. Dustin and Chris W. were very professional, respectful (wore masks, etc) and deeply knowledgeable about their craft, especially for someone like me who is a first time homeowner. They both were very organized in their approach to the repair. Their affable demeanor and innate ability to reassure a customer allowed them to effortlessly get the pertinent information about my AC system they needed for the repair. They even went above and beyond by explaining to me the current system I had and what mid term to long term options would be best for my home. The quality of their repair work was impeccable and was beyond my expectations. My home is cool again (SMILE). I will definitely keep Above and Beyond AC in mind for any future projects and for routine maintenance.

Above & Beyond came out to my house 3 weeks ago to service my AC & on July 15th, I had trouble with my AC again. Above & Beyond came out again & noticed my capacitor went bad. They serviced my unit with no charge it was 100% warranty. Thanks to Tommy & Carlos for taking care of me & my AC unit. Incredible company & employees at Above & Beyond.

I can’t say enough great things about Dustin, Tommy and all the folks at this company. My AC was leaking to my outside porch, leaving a pool of water. I called for spoke with Dustin and he offered to come out the next morning which he did. Two days prior I had another AC guy come out since I put in a service call with my home warranty through American Home Shield. After paying $56/month and $125 for the service call, he told me it wasn’t covered under my warranty and he wasn’t going to fix it since it was considered a maintenance issue. As a single mom, I’m always leery and cautious when it comes to hiring companies to do work that’s why I was hopeful with buying a home warranty but unfortunately, it proved to be the exact opposite.

With Above and Beyond, I did my research and their 5 star rating proved to be exactly what I experienced. Dustin and his team were extremely thorough, cleaned up after themselves and he even came back after a week to make sure everything was running just as it should and I was happy. Tommy, the General Manager, called me to follow up, make sure i was pleased and see if I had any questions. It’s a challenge to find any company that has this level of work ethic and incredible customer service. This is the only AC company I would ever refer. They have definitely lived up to their name. Thank you Dustin and Tommy for doing such an awesome job and answering all my questions! Y’all are wonderful!

My AC stopped blowing out cold air and I was lucky to come across this company on google. Matthew was the technician that came out to diagnose my problem. He was honest and efficient and was able to fix my unit that same day. He worked out a payment plan with me and even showed me how to clean my unit to maintain it. Matthew really went above and beyond. I highly recommend this company.

Tommy and his crew definitely went above. And beyond for my husband and I.Our ac Went out the beginning of a weekend and we were facing 2 days of miserable heat. He sent his guy over with a window unit so that my husband could be comfortable. He had been receiving treatments and it was hard for him to deal with this excessive heat. They came first thing Monday to put in the new unit. And we just felt like we were such a priority.They are true angels

We have been so pleased with customer service and quality products that are definitely Above & Beyond. Highly recommended! Most recent experience: prompt initial response, and constant communication. We needed replacement AC unit. They put drop cloths down, vacuumed to keep clean, and hustled the whole time. Professional hard workers. Quality check after installation. Also a quality check days afterward. Final price was within quote. I could go on forever. In a challenging time, i was reassured by their professionalism. This is a quality company that performs quality work and quality service.

Matt diagnosed multiple issues with previous unit that I never liked, so Victor and Hector replaced the whole system in a few hours and I'm so pleased. Everyone from office people to GM Tommy is friendly and professional, as well as super fast and responsive. This is my new HVAC go-to company.

I can see the great positive reviews, and I'm sure it's a great company...but I'm addressing a different issue. The somewhat reckless driving of one of your employees. On Hunt Lane and Potranco Rd... Wednesday 4-24 at 12:57pm. Your driver will know what I'm referring to.

I cannot express how pleased I was with this company. They were professional, knowledgeable, on time, completed the work quickly and at a fair price. They had my AC Unit up and running the same day I called. In the Texas heat, that's all I could hope for! Thanks for such a great job

Came home after work at 4pm on a Friday to find out my house was 90f and AC wasn't running. Called and had got someone right away, made room for me after last job. Tommy showed up and fixed it with in 20 mins and had me running by 5:30pm.

Update since first review: Called Above and Beyond . A year or so has passed since we last called them. Gerald came out and serviced our air conditioning unit. He is excellent! Polite, knowledgeable and friendly. Excellent service once again! Thank you Gerald and Above and Beyond! Your service is second to none!
Original Review 2021: Above and Beyond is a superb local company. My husband and I found this company last summer when our air conditioner needed replacing in an emergency situation and all the other companies were booked for days due to the heat wave. Tommy, the general manager, listened to our situation and was able to fit us in within a few hours. We were so thankful. I used Above and Beyond again today for a regular summer tune-up, and Tommy was honest and extremely fair and competitive with pricing. Above and Beyond employs high- quality people who are polite, helpful, kind, and honest! I highly recommend Above and Beyond.

Victor and TJ and Mathew were the gentleman that came out to assist, they were professional and we're able to get the job done in astonishing time. Thank you gentleman again for what you do.

This company is the best in San Antonio for anything AC. Called them for a leaking AC unit. Lenny came over to check it out. There was an issue with the condensate pump. He was easy to talk to and explained everything to me so that I understood. They offered me a fair price to fix it and Lenny fixed it the same day! On top of that, Lenny was friendly and respectful. I got the impression that these people genuinely care about doing a good job and about offering excellent customer service. I will 100% call them for any AC issues I have in the future.

To say that I am happy with Above and Beyond services is a complete understatement. I have been dealing with AC issues for a long time and it has been terrible. I continuously got the run around from multiple companies and it was very frustrating. To have Above and Beyond come in, identify the issue immediately and give me a solution and secondary option was great. While I was hesitant to believe it would be that easy because of the stuff that we went through over the last year, I chose to allow them to give it a shot. Victor, Steven, and TJ were stand up gentlemen and very professional. They were very courteous to me, my property, and my family. The entire experience beginning with Tommy to the end with Victor and his team completing the job was top tier. Victor continuously communicated with me as things progressed. Tommy, Victor, and Hector were outstanding!! All were courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. They treated our home as if it was their own. Victor and Hector, while very meticulous, had our new unit and insulation installed super quick. Our house has never been this comfortable. Thank you!!

The namesake is correct, these guys will definitely go above and beyond for you. Our technician Matthew broke everything down for us and made sure to check everything out. Got us up and running same day. My whole unit needed cleaned out and the install manager Victor got there the same day within a couple hours to clear it out and I was left with recommendations on how to avoid my unit failing in the future. Very professional job and customer service is out of this world. Highly highly highly recommend these guys, they're the best!

Incompetent, charged me appx $700 for a four years old system wasnt fixed at all , then they offered me to buy a $12,000 new system.
This is the text conversation :

Contractor: The condensor ( outside unit) has a short. The 45/5 mf run capacitor and the high voltage 208/240 controller is shorted out
Sent model and serial number to manager for parts cost

Also the condensor coil is dirty
That I will clean with the repairs. That is more than likely the reason they over heated a blew out!
Parts are replaced went to start it up and compressor was locked out on thermal over load. Had to take the water hose and water the compressor to cool it down. That takes the lock out away and allows compressor to reset. It reset and start up went great. Checks complete system and cooling great. Please text email so that I can email invoice.
Customer : The tenant of 442 riverdale says its still not cooling. When can you check it again ?

Contractor : Compressor is running but the the valves went bad. Not moving the Freon. Tenant said he heard a clanking sound. The guy said it cooled for like an hour then he heard the loud banging and it stopped cooling. I sent the info to my manager. He’s gonna let me know what the next step

Compressor for that condensor is no longer in production. Manager did a Manual J/ heat load. The house calls for a 2.5 /3 ton. With the age of the home he says it’s best to go to the 3 ton.

You can’t put just a compressor. That compressor broke apart internally and restricted the Freon lines and evap coil.
Customer: I called the hvac guy that installed it. He said you guys are full of none sense. The hvac unit is only four years old , parts under warranty.
Even if the unit was 30 years old he would still be able to get a compressor.
You guys are just trying to up-sale

Contractor : Not trying to up sell. I tried to fix it. We can just give you your money back and go our own ways. That unit is one of the worst unit u can put in. If that’s what you paid then he over charged you for that unit. Those go installed for $2500.00. If it’s such a great unit then why didn’t you call that guy to work on it.
I’ll credit you the money back and go pull my parts. I don’t really care if you replace it with us or with anyone else.
We install carrier condensor’s for $5800 with a 10 year warranty
It’s not only the compressor it’s also the restriction in the Freon lines
At the evap coil there’s 8 capillary tubes at the evap coil that are 1/4 inch thick and when a compressor starts to fall apart it sends pieces of its internal material through the lines and the jam in the coils capillary tubes
Customer : But you threw out the old parts so if you will remove the new parts

Contractor : Yep the compressor is running but not moving the Freon at all.
They stopped production of the Freon it uses as well.
We have some but it’s sold out already my boss bought a pallet of it but once it’s gone. Then there will be no choice but to replace the system and convert it to the new refrigerant R454B. So it’s up to you if you really want to invest into a system that is being phased out.
I believe Your company is full of b.s.

Matthew and Victor were great! Matthew determined the issues with our system, and got the necessary parts ordered. Victor came out and replaced the necessary components quickly. Victor was extremely professional and took time to educate me in keeping our system in good condition. I’d highly recommend these folks to anybody needing ac or heating service.
