We never had any issues with the plumbing until suddenly nothing would drain and everything was backing up into the shower. They showed up Sunday afternoon (complete with emergency fee) and tried hard to find the issue but couldn't reach it, especially since the original 1970 builder didn't install a cleanout! They came the next morning, dug up the sewer line exit from the foundation, installed a cleanout, and in the process found the problem roots, popped the clog, and removed the issue. These guys aren't the cheapest, but I trust their work.

Smith & Sons Plumbing is the only plumbing company to call! They are reliable, knowledgeable, and an honest plumbing company with the best prices! I have to thank Ben & his helper for working so hard & getting the job done right. Also, Debbie for her assistance with the paperwork I needed and always making sure to call me to keep me updated. The pricing is by far the best! Another plumbing company gave my mother in law a quote for $4230.00 and they did not even inspect to see where the waterline came in or how they would reroute the line. Smith and Sons Plumbing did a complete inspection and determined how and what was needed to be done beforehand and only charged $2550.00. That's definitely a big difference and saved me a lot. I will tell everyone not to waste time with any other plumbing company- just call Smith and Sons Plumbing first to get any plumbing job done right and at the best price. Called yall for my sink drain. Anthony was there BEFORE scheduled, cleaned out the plug, and was back out 10 minutes after he was supposed to be there! Fast, friendly service and no mess!

I appreciate all the good work they just did to my house and bathroom! I had 3 issues in total, it took a couple days with getting parts etc but I am very happy with the techs, Tony's customer service A1, and the owner Peter has a great team. The office ladies were nice and helpful too!

This afternoon, Patrick and Isaiah of Smith & Sons Plumbing came over to replace the hose bib on the side of the house. They were very personable and extremely professional. They took the time to explain answers to my questions, including showing me the shut off valves on the water meter and the Pressure Reducing Valve (I didn't even know the PRV had a shut off valve!). Patrick also allowed me to choose which handle I wanted for the hose bib. It was a small gesture, but it was important to me, and I'm grateful for his attention to that.
They did a great job, and they were lovely gentlemen.

We've had Smith & Sons out a few times, and the initial repairs have been prompt and a decent price, but all the repairs seem to have recurring issues. Toilets with wax rings that fail just a month after warranty. Our latest repair from August 2025 for Quarter Angle turns failed and once again they were ready to charge as we were out of warranty.

We contracted a plumber today to take a look at the repair and he reported they had used the original compression fitting, replacing only the valve component. In the process they had cracked the compression nut and it was slowly weeping behind the valve. We did not notice as we hardly use that bathroom.

The warranties are too short with S&S, and the onus is put on the homeowner to make sure the work is done right. This seems like a clear defective install (why was the compression fitting not also replaced?) and not a "wear and tear" problem.

I had a really great experience with Smith and Son plumbing! when they came out to fix a leak in my yard. They showed up on time, were easy to talk to, and took the time to explain what was going on before getting started, which I really appreciated. The repair was handled quickly and professionally, and you can tell they take pride in their work. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again or recommend them to others!

We had a plumbing emergency on a Saturday evening. We called Steve's Plumbing and they had someone out right away. They did a good job fixing it and the price was very reasonable. Customer service was good too, from the plumber to the office staff.

just got a washer/dryer installed and was told my bibbs were leaking and needed replacing. got on the google and did a search for closest plumber. showed up same day a few hours later and was excellent service. super nice guys; very professional, quick, courteous and knowledgeable. i have no idea what a "normal" or "good" rate is for plumbers, so can't really speak to that, but i'm super happy with everything. will definitely go back to them if i need a plumber.

My wife and I were house sitting for our son and daughter-in-law, and became concerned with one of the hot water heaters . The response and diagnosis of both water heaters and a bathroom faucet was fantastic. Heaters and parts ordered and all installed in two days. We have good plumbers in PA, but San Antonio should be proud of this company. Brian and Bobby serviced our sons house in Alamo Heights like we have never experienced. Knowledgeable, pleasant and professional. We can't thank them enough for the very efficient and pleasant service provided. Just awesome.
