After getting 5 estimates from our local pool builders, we decided to go with Claffey and we are so pleased with the experience! They really work with you from the design phase all the way through the finish to ensure that you’re completely satisfied. Our designer took everything into account to tie the pool in with our backyard. Once they started construction, Jeremiah our project manager made sure we were updated on each step and who would be out at the house doing what. Any questions we had he quickly found the answer to. Everyone who worked on the pool was professional. The quality of work was exceptional! After the pool was built Justin helped us with the final touches— he too was always available to help with questions and would always come over to check out any concern we had. We love our new pool and spa!

Claffey has been a pleasure to work with from design thru construction. They are responsive and built the pool, outdoor kitchen and cabana we envisioned. Philip was great as the designer and Jesse was wonderful in overseeing all aspects of the construction.

I had a warranty issue with a couple lights and Whit and Ryan came out in the rain to get it resolved.

The Claffey experience was by far the best experience we have ever had with ANY contractor across all businesses. Charlie Claffey leads a great organization and demands high quality work and wonderful customer service. Rob Leone and Jasen Kidd lead our project and I cannot say enough good things about both of them.

Our original pool wiring recently shorted out against the box and burnt the wiring. Although our pool and some plumbing had been update, all wiring was original and very old. When contacted Claffey Pools was able to send someone out within a couple days. The technician/electrician, Eric, was very knowledgeable and agreed that it would be best to replace all the wiring. Eric was able to complete the job and test all systems in a couple hours. Claffey Pools and their staff offer great, timely service at a very reasonable price. We were especially pleased with the price. We recommend them and will use them again as needed

We shopped around with numerous pool builders before finding Claffey and each one felt like we were simply being sold a service, but from the first meeting with Mike Calonne we felt like we’d reached out to an old friend to build our pool. Mike listened to our needs and wants and worked with the design team to make our dream a reality.

Jeremiah was our PM and I couldn’t have asked for a better one than him. We value great communication and he did not disappoint. He kept us in the loop every step of the way. Anytime contractors were coming out, any setbacks we may have faced, literally anything, he kept us informed.

This was our first pool build and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I feel like we’ve not only found a great company for future projects, but have also made friends through Mike & Jeremiah.

Claffey removed and replaced our existing pool with a 55,000 gallon infinity edge pool. A year and half later it’s completely still level and absolutely gorgeous. I would recommend them to anyone.

Shawn is always reliable and we know everything will be done correctly.

We chose Claffey because of their quality and reputation. Claffey built our pool some 20 years ago and updated and helped with some rock work and drainage issues some 10 years ago.

This remodel updated some electronics, reset rock copings, identified a spa leak and fixed it, replaced a timber retaining wall with rock that matched perfectly and we love the new spillway from spa to pool. Rock/mason crew was great and easy to work with – Gilberto and his crew were great.

Claffey built our pool at the end of last year and did an outstanding job — the quality of construction and equipment has been excellent. This summer, as our pool water started climbing into the 90–92° range, Claffey guided us through selecting and installing a Jandy chiller/heat pump to complement our gas heater. The new system has been a game-changer for keeping the water comfortable during hot NTX summers.

Special thanks to Eric and Whit for their phenomenal work during installation — they were professional, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was set up perfectly. Overall, Claffey has delivered both a high-quality pool and top-notch service. Highly recommended.

Had Claffey come out to clean our filters and they did a great job as always! Jeremy was our technician and he was friendly and efficient and got everything back up and running.

We began the design process with Claffey Pools in October and worked with sales representative, Jose. After our initial meeting, we promptly provided property plans and inspiration materials and followed up multiple times asking for updates.

We eventually received a design concept in mid-November and responded right away with feedback. We were told updated renderings and next steps would be coming shortly.

It has now been two months with no revisions, no proposal, and no quote. Communication simply stopped.

For a project of this size and cost, basic follow-through and communication shouldn’t be optional. Unfortunately, the lack of responsiveness made it impossible for us to continue with Claffey Pools, and we had to move on.

A very disappointing experience.

Claffey was AMAZING. We started our new pool construction as soon as we closed on our house. After having 4 different designers give us largely the same design (including one designer who kept repeating, I'm giving you my pool, it's amazing--it wasn't), we were excited to hear Claffey say, "In unique spaces, you can sometimes get the most amazing results."
They were great. The design was beautiful. Our construction supervisor was readily available and listened to all our concerns through the process. Once the water went in, we transitioned to their startup/finalization group who probably felt like they lived in our backyard doing everything from noting tile to replace to fixing boulders, removing frogs, and more.
A week after we signed the "official" handoff taking the pool over, a torrential downpour destroyed the builder's retaining wall and flooded the pool. Claffey was there within the hour of rain stopping, assessed the issues and started helping remove excess water. They brought their team back out, cleared and installed more drains, flocked and cleaned the pool and within a week, the pool looked normal. (Side note, the builder's rebuilt the wall and landscapers came and fixed the destroyed landscape portion as well).
They were there with us through it all--friendly, concerned, helpful, responsive. I have recommended them to several friends who all have had similar experiences.

I will preface with the fact that despite any hurdles/delays that may come about during the build/design process, Claffey’s team and level of service were and continue to be top notch!

Jeremiah, Will, & team did a fantastic job from beginning to end. They were knowledgable throughout the process and taught us everything we needed to know. You are paying for quality craftsmanship that should pay off over time. We did a higher end project for the size of our backyard and could not recommend them more! Overall we are more than happy with Claffey’s end product and are enjoying the heated swim now at the end of February! 🌊🌊🌊

Jasen & Ryan did amazing work. I am very happy with the results of our maintenance. I will hope they are available for our next maintenance project.

The first 2 photos are why we contacted Claffey. We were having issues with the brick flaking off into the pool. Their immediate response was at the pool was five years old and out of warranty. Truth of the matter is the pool was less than four years old but that’s not an issue. Still no warranty. They said they would send someone out to give us a price to get it repaired. When he came out he told my wife that it happens a lot to that kind of stone. The water gets behind the stone and causes that. He also told her that these bad winters made it worse. The problem I have is they didn’t mention that to us when choosing the stone, and this past winter was quite mild.

Once I got their quote, I did called another spa repair company. I ended up going with them for several reasons, a little less expensive and I would not have to wait the 4-6 weeks before Claffey would be able to get to it.
The next 5 pictures shows the quality (or lack of) of Claffey’s work. Some quotes from the people that repaired the spa are, “on the spillway where the stone and tile meet wasn’t sealed right and the water started going into the back of the stone” and “missing concrete and there is a lot of hollow spaces on the front of the spa they filled in with broken tile.”

Once I saw the awful work that Claffey did I sent a mail to the guy that gave us the quote and I think his supervisor. All I asked was for Claffey to reimburse me the invoice to have the work repaired, which was cheaper than their price. The supervisor replied that he sent it to corporate and they would get with me by Monday. Instead of getting back with me, they had their attorney send me a letter (attached) stating the claim was denied, and if I had any questions I needed to speak with him.

A pool is a long term commitment and I would recommend not going with a company that does this awful work and will not stand behind their mistakes. All I wanted was for them to do the right thing.

Jasen, Erin, and Sue supported us as we resurfaced our pool. They were all very nice, helpful, and very efficient. The actual work done and supervised by Jason was just exceptional. They always were on time, they always checked in to make sure we were satisfied, and they always made sure everything was left Super clean!
