I would highly recommend Cypress Pools for your next pool project. We had a larger project than most. Our sloping back yard made it ideal for a lot of exterior stone work and an infinity edge. We also installed a spa and an outdoor kitchen. The design they (LeAnna) came up with was head and shoulders above anything else we saw from other Pool Companies. This was our first pool and we always dreamed of having one. The owner (Brian) and LeAnna were very helpful and responsive. Brian’s decades of experience in this business, definitely shines through. He helped us with key decisions needed to make our dream a reality.
The Superintendent (AJ) was always there when we needed him. The crews were artisans and very professional. At the end of the project, the technician (Kyle) was very helpful in setting up and showing us the pool equipment.
The pool size/shape is perfect, the equipment works like it’s supposed to, the spa is gorgeous, the stone work is amazing, the swim up bar is outstanding, the outdoor kitchen is more than we expected, the multiple deck levels provide a very elegant touch, you can gaze at the infinity edge forever, and the lighting is spectacular.
It’s clear that Cypress Pools takes just as much pride and ownership in the finished project as we do. We couldn’t be happier.

Brian, Matt, Jose, Hope and Ruben were the best! We had a pool and custom bar put in our backyard and it turned out fabulous. This is the second pool that we had done by Cypress Custom. The first one was back in 1999. They were very easy to work with and came in on budget with no hidden expenses or surprises. They went out of their way to ensure that we were a happy customer. We are so excited to enjoy our new backyard for the summer!

Our pool (backyard oasis) was just completed by CCP and we could not be happier. The whole process went very smoothly. Brian came out and listened to what we wanted, Leanna created the 3D and the project began. Joe, our Project Manager, did a FANTASTIC job of keeping us informed on what was happening and when it was going to happen. The crews that they used were all very good, hard working and cleaned up afterwards. Leanna listened to my wife during the plaster and waterline tile selections so that my wife got the results that she wanted. Kyle came out to do the "pool school" and could not have been better at taking time to explain everything. The backyard oasis is everything that we wanted. This team did a fantastic job. The pool dig was February 21st and on April 11 was pool school. Could have been faster except we went out of town the week that would have been the plaster so they couldn't work that week

Cypress Custom Pools did a great job on my pool. What really stood out to me was the customer service Oz Curiel was my project manager and his commitment to keep me updated on and setback issue etc. Was awesome. He went above and beyond I would recommend Cypress Pools to all of my neighbors!

We could not be happier with our pool and with our experience with Cypress Custom Pools. This is the second time we have built a pool. Our first experience was with another company and comparing that experience to our experience with CCP is night and day. CCP did a phenomenal job. Lauren was our designer and she was fantastic. She has such good vision and a good eye, she asked all of the right questions and listened carefully to what we were looking for, and she designed our perfect pool. She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with not only the design of the pool, but the colors for the tile, coping, decking, etc. and all of the other small details. She gave great recommendations and advice and the end result is exactly what we wanted. A.J was our project manager, and from excavation to completion we were thrilled. A.J.’s communication was perfect. He checked in with us regularly and came to inspect the progress multiple times on absolutely every phase of the project and was always there if we had any questions. He really kept whole process moving quickly and efficiently and he truly made it so easy on us. We couldn't have asked for a better project manager. We were also so happy with all of the crews/ subcontractors that CCP uses. Each and every one did a great job, stayed on schedule (ahead of schedule actually), always cleaned up when they finished, and even worked with us to put up a temporary fence every single day to keep our dogs safe and away from the construction site. As I mentioned, this was not our first time building a pool, but it was a FAR superior experience and we will always recommend this company to anyone looking for a pool construction company. The old saying of you get what you pay for it's absolutely true for Cypress Custom Pools. They are not the least expensive pool construction company around, but I definitely believe they are the best.

Over the last 10 years I have used them twice to install a pool. That alone should say something. I wouldn't spend that much money with the same company twice if I didn't believe in their product. This is our third pool to put in. The first one was with another company that was just okay. As I mentioned I have used this company twice since 2007 and would do it a third time too. Their attention to detail, use of quality material, and focus on the customer is beyond outstanding.

Their customer service is some of the best I have ever experienced. (and I know exceptional customer service, because I make my living improving customer service)

On several occasion they have helped me out on things that should have been outside of normal service or warranty. Most recently I was having a problem and it was 3:30 PM on a Friday before a holiday. Brian, the owner took the time to call me while he was driving between Austin and Houston and walk me through the steps I need to take to resolve the problem. He then followed up with me again later that night to make sure that everything was working.

In summary, I will always recommend this company to anyone needing a pool construction company!

We completed our pool about 1 year ago. We feel in love with the design Matt presented to us. Joe was very good at managing the construction. All the subs were great. Our next door neighbor had a drainage issue after the pool construction and that did take some additional calls to get the landscaper to fix that (they had covered up the french drain on the side yard when they put down new sod). Outside of that issue, we've been incredibly happy with everything about the process and the end product. Excellent quality.

Has several leaks in different parts of the underground plumbing and mortar. Cypress Custom Pools sent out two different teams
to address all issues promptly and professionally. Very easy to work with and honest. Would highly recommend for your pool needs!

Cypress Pools provided great 3D designs but were very poor at meeting delivery dates and responding to concerns. Without fail the timing I was told for a design to be provided ended up being 3 - 7 days late. When asked about the delays the answer was always we have a lot of construction kicking off and it will get better. Finally after about 3 months I email and called trying to discuss our concerns with the delays and they never reach back out to discuss. At this point we told them we were going to talk to other pool builders and that's when they finally emailed us back. Their response basically told us it was our fault because we asked for to many revisions to the design. For a $100k+ pool I should be able to revise the design until I'm completely happy with it!! They went on to say that they had stop working on the design because they didn't think we could afford the design even though we hadn't even been provided a cost estimate.

Cypress Custom Pools seems to design great pools but unfortunately I didn't get that far with them. If you know exactly what you want or have a straight forward design you will probably will have a great experience but if you will need help figuring out what you like or a difficult design situation works I suggest going elsewhere.

We interviewed several pool companies before we made a decision. However, the sales representative that provided a brochure and itemized list of what the project would include and entail was Gary Curiel with Cypress Custom Pools. Mr. Curiel answered all our questions and provided great suggestions that led to the pool of our dreams without breaking our bank.

Our project was managed by an experience and friendly project manager, Oz. Before the start of the project Oz came to our home and walked us through the project timeline. He provided us with a detailed overview of the milestones and the approximate number of days each would take. During the course of the project, he visited the site almost daily to check on the progress and answer any of our questions. He would explain what activity was taking place, what we could expect and what was next on the timeline. No detail was too small or insignificant. It was clear to us that their focus was constructing a quality pool and deck we would love and they could be proud of. Thanks to excellent weather and a talented and experienced team, the pool was constructed in four weeks, and we were able to enjoy our pool in just five weeks from the time the hole was dug to when the chemicals were balanced and we could jump in! We couldn’t be happier with our pool and our experience with Custom Cypress Pools.

Couldn't be happier with our pool build! From start to finish, the pool build process with Cypress Custom Pools was amazing. After meeting with 4 pool builders to discuss our ideas and must-haves, we settled on Cypress Custom, as Gary Curiel's design far exceeded the designs of the other pool builders. Gary was able to take our ideas and create an amazing design that exceeded our expectations. His presentation most reflected our ideas and hopes for this major product. Other pool builders' design got some aspect of our grand ideas, but missed others. Gary got it spot-on!!!

Prior to contract signing, Gary was great at recommending ways we could better spend our money to get most out of backyard renovation. And once the contract was signed, Cypress Custom was flexible enough, so that when we needed to make changes to materials or specific aspects of the design, they could be done without issue.

Once the project started, we were fortunate to have a great project supervisor in Joe, who worked extremely hard to keep the subs moving and on schedule. He truly made the build process of this project as stress-free as possible. He kept us in the loop in regards to who would be at our house each day and the schedule of work for each week. The Pool Builder app was great also, as the camera allowed us to see real-time progress of the pool, while away at work.

Ultimately, my family is thrilled with the completed project, which took about 45 days from excavation to plaster. Not too bad, as the pool build spanned across the Christmas holidays and a very raining period in Houston. My wife and I feel that the pool we received is far more expensive than for what we paid. Cypress Custom truly delivered with respect to value, service, and quality.

After going through nearly an entire year with another pool builder that left us with multiple problems and unresolved issues, Brian came in and gave us a very fair estimate to fix the many issues. Everything was done exactly when he said it would be done. He always communicated in a timely manner and always gave us clear information on what we should expect. This was NEVER the case with our previous builder. We learned our lesson the hard way and only wish we would have started with Cypress Custom Pools. We are grateful for the work they did to make our pool beautiful and finally complete! All of their vendors were very professional and courteous and we just couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend CCP and don't make the same mistake we did! From the first meeting, Gary and the crew were fantastic! Helping with design ideas, making tweaks to meet our budget, and being patient and responsive to all questions. The team that built the pool was always on time, respectful, kept the area clean and safe. After completion, had Kyle over for pool school, and office team always available to answer questions and provide support. Very beneficial also to have Samuel for the first several weeks, ensuring water was in mint condition for swimming. Really impressed and satisfied with Cypress Custom Pools!

Truly shoddy workmanship on expensive paver deck, with settling issues that have made it hazardous to walk on and requiring extensive repair. No stabilized concrete was used for base, only "stabilized" sand. Improper mixing of concrete and lack of rebar reinforcement has resulted in crumbling of deck edging. See photos. If you go with this kind of deck, ensure that it's done properly and demand a longer warranty on the work.

Don’t go with them! They’re based out of Austin and they’re acquiring smaller companies. We used another pool service company that was purchased by poolie. The service went down hill immediately. Our pool was green for weeks. Their main goal is to scale, not provide service to their customers.

Cypress Custom Pools did an amazing job! They have built two pools for me and if I move again… they will be who I chose again!

Our overall pool build with CCP’s was great! Started with Gary putting our needy vision together. He’s a very professional designer that listens! Right before our dig Joe our project manager came by and walked us through the whole process from dig to pool school and answered all our questions. Joe did an outstanding job managing the project, daily at times and kept in constant communication the whole time which was huge considering I question everything. :) Joe truly was the MVP on this project. It was impressive seeing him coordinate all the subs and fulfilling his 6-8 week timeline for completion. Guillermo and Kyle completed the great experience. Guillermo was very informative as he serviced the pool and Kyle did a great job telling us how to maintain our new investment. Thank you CCP’s for building our pool that will bring us tons fun and memories! We highly recommend you all to our friends and family.

I cannot express in words how great our experience was with Cypress Custom Pools, from the design process to the construction process these guys were easy to work with and had the utmost professionalism. Gary was an awesome designer and he delivered on the exact design we had envisioned, it actually came out better than it looked on the 3D graphic design. Oz was the greatest construction manager you could ask for, he kept us informed throughout the whole construction process, he answered every question we had politely and never once got irritated or mad with anything we asked and he answers the phone every time you call even early in the AM or on his off days. Oz had guys working everyday at 7AM except rainy days and they even worked through light rainy days, everything was constructed with top level materials and craftsmanship and Oz was the most professional guy I've ever dealt with. With all the crazy stories about people getting ripped off for $80,000+ by Pool Contractors in the Houston Area it would be a No-Brainer for me to use or recommend Cypress Custom Pools, they are accredited by the Better Business Bereau and they stand by their reputation.

I honestly couldn't be happier. Its very daunting to do such a big project and spend this much money on something you haven't done before. I interviewed many ( 7) pool companies before selecting Cypress Custom Pools, and to be honest when it got down to the final decision between 2, it was Lauren that made the difference. Can't quite put my finger on it but she just gave me a very reassuring feeling and let me know she would be there every step of the way. Plus she designed an awesome pool!

Highlights:

Aesthetic - the pool looks fantastic, and the design is functional and suits the property. When I first asked for the pool to be done I thought I wanted a rectangular pool, and Lauren did design that, and then I was a bit of a pain and said, well maybe Id like to see a free form and she designed that, then I said, well maybe id like the retaining wall different and she designed that too. She kept working with me until we got exactly what I wanted (and most of which I didn't even know I wanted).

Timing - I had no idea how long it would take, I assumed several months. Lauren said 6-8 weeks, (which sounded impossible given that amount of work) and sure enough it was done in 8 weeks!! I wouldn't have thought it could have been done. ( we even had a few day delay at the start because of rain, and it was still done in that time frame)

Construction Management - one word "Guillermo" !!! I can't say enough good about Guillermo.
I was super fortunate that he was the one assigned to my pool. He was so polite, friendly, kind and easy to talk to. He was there several times a week and kept an eye on things. Every time I had a question he answered immediately and often that involved him coming out look at something again. He never seemed bothered about this. He is SO calm and made sure everything went super smoothly. He even did other things like help me get in contact with other people (for landscaping ideas, etc). Guillermo was readily available on his mobile and often I would turn around and there he was in the making sure the crew was doing it exactly right.

Trades and subcontractors - Cypress has their own "network" of trades that they use consistently and trust and because of this they were always available and at the job on the days they were supposed to be and did excellent work.

Cost - ok, well pools are expensive, but Lauren worked with me to get my wish list and helped me cut out superfluous items. In the end the pool cost a bit more than I budgeted for (but that was a "me" problem, I let the scope grow). But I was happy with the quote I received and the pool cost came in at exactly that amount.
Also, we financed some of the cost and Lauren helped me find a company that was able to finance it and she explained a lot about how the different finance companies work and I believe she actually saved me money with her guidance.

Wrap up - so you wouldn't think about it but after the pool is built there are a lot of other things that need to be done... and Cypress stayed until every last thing was sorted. Kyle (who was the one to teach us "pool school" and how to use all the equipment and apps) came out at least 3-4 times to make sure the pool was functioning properly, he got all the chemicals sorted, he showed us how to use everything, he gave us a "pool maintenance" manual so that we wouldn't forget all of the things to do weekly, monthly etc. He brought the pool vacuum and brushes etc to get us started. Great guy.
Then there was also the clean up. Not that there was much clean up because the crew did an amazing job of leaving the place tidy at the end of each day. But they came back and did an acid wash of the deck (to remove all the dirt and clay foot prints that had been left). All rubbish had been taken away (the tree stumps that had been taken out, the extra scraps from construction, the wrapping from supplies, you name it, the cleaned it, and washed down the sidewalk and driveway after. Everything!

I would definitely use them again! Thank you Lauren, Guillermo and Kyle!

From start to finish, this company went beyond my expectations. If they said something was going to get done, it did. If something was delayed I knew upfront. The communication from our awesome construction manager Oz was almost daily. Gary was our pool designer and was prompt with his replies and gave us an awesome pool design. The design experience was just like building our home. Going through the design center and planning was all very exciting. Everything was and felt custom. I am more than confident in having Cypress Custom Pools as my builder and know they will stand behind their product in the future. WORTH EVERY PENNY! They also finished ahead of schedule....
