Bradley from Mountain Air and was very thorough and helpful and educational! We had a great experience and feel much more confident about the state of our furnace after his thorough inspection and tune up. He even spent time educating me on why things were the way the were and why he changed or adjusted them. Definitely worth it!

Scotty and Solomon were wonderful to work with for our furnace tune up. They were very knowledgeable and so patient about answering my questions and making sure I understood everything. They also went above and beyond by entertaining my curious children and all of their questions about what they were doing. They did a great job explaining our options and offering opinions without making us feel pressured into anything. Thanks for all of your help!

Mike Murphy was great, clearly loves what he does. He was able to quickly diagnose our AC issue and come up with a reasonable quote to get our unit working again. Mike offered some tips and quoted other reasonable repairs to make our appliance last longer and run more efficient. I appreciate that nothing was forced on us, purely recommended and explained. I will definitely use Mountain Home Service again.

UPDATE: The simple fix that I was told was supposed to fix the fireplace, was indeed simple. However, it was not the problem. I still can't get the fireplace to work. I paid for Mike to come look at it and then tell me how to fix it myself, but what he told me to replace wasn't even the problem. I guess I should have had him fix it, so he would have seen it wasn't the problem, but he would have charged me over $100—on top of what I already paid for the house visit—to replace something that cost me under $30 to replace... AND it wasn't even the problem. Now it's been a year and we still can't get it to work. But I don't want to call and have to pay for him to come out and look at it again, because I don't have confidence that he will actually know what needs to be fixed.
Mike M. was great. He had an emergency call come in just as he was heading to our house, so he gave me the option to come the next day, however we would not be home the next day. So he happily came to our house and did not seem rushed to try and “get through” so he could go to the emergency call. He was able to diagnose the problem we had quickly and spent plenty of time explaining to me what was happening and why. Now that we understand what the problem is and why it is happening, it is a super simple fix that I am very comfortable doing. It was nice he did not try to paint a scary picture so we would have them fix it. He did not give us outrageous options for repairing the problem that we had to choose from. He just clearly explained what the problem was and why it was happening and what they would do to fix it. I said that I could easily do that, and he agreed. That was it. Then he was on his way to the emergency call after us. I’d have him come back again to diagnose problems. He was polite, clear in his explanations, and fast. Thanks Mike! -
Solomon and Scott came to do a furnace inspection. Both were extremely pleasant and extremely professional. I was very comfortable having them in my home. I appreciated that they immediately put booties on when I invited them in (not every company out there does that). And their work was very thorough. I won’t claim to be knowledgeable at HVAC maintenance but I know enough to know when a tech knows his stuff or not. I felt confident these guys knew it. They answered all my questions and they were thorough in their inspection. Very impressed. I think I’ll be calling Mountain Air for future inspections and service.

They were amazing! The install is very clean and looks even better than last time which was outstanding. All three guys were personable and eager to answer my questions. They were also tenacious and were here until after 8pm on the second day trouble shooting the system. The lead on this job, Chase, is an excellent supervisor. He motivated his crew and was available and willing to lend a hand when asked for assistance. We have been with Mountain Air for about 15 years and we're looking forward to the next 15 years with Mountain Home.

Used to love this company. Fast, efficient, and informative. So they get an extra star. Shoutout customer service they are still helpful.
Just moved back after being gone a couple of years. I have a paint crew working in there just melting. They no call no showed a 7a-12p appointment. When I called around 1p they said he was on his way! Ok no worries. Until, they never showed up. Called me next morning and rescheduled. Got a dispatch text saying he was on his way at 9a. After an hour and a half I called back in while standing next to the unit to see if they had an ETA and they told me the tech had marked himself as active on the job site and was there working lol he was not.
Life happens, things come up, it's not all about me. I get that. But there was no communication. I'm not sure if they changed systems, ownership, or what. But, this isn't the same great company of years past so take that into consideration when your house is 100°. Luckily, I have a lot of flexibility in my work so I didn't need to take a full day and a half off waiting around but a lot of people don't have that flexibility. -
EDIT: had to change this. It's been a few months and it's gotten colder. Went to turn on the humidifier and it turns out they moved it with the new furnace. Okay. But left the wires hanging out and not hooked up, one whole side of my duct is falling off. Both the pressure sensors that turn on the humidifier were taken when they removed the old one and never bothered to hook it back up. I got to have them back out here to repair all this stuff. Also they never fixed the holes in the drywall. And where are the lines ran from inside of the house to the outside of the house, they stuffed it with gravel and left it. Who the hell does that?
Edit #2. Having problems with a 2-year-old thermostat. Product is still under warranty. They want to charge me 80 bucks to come out and look at it. When I take my car to the dealership for warranty work, I don't walk out without a bill. When the fiber optic guys were here 2 days ago, zero fees for the work they did. This company will gouge you anyway they can to get money out of you. I don't use them for my annual tune-ups because they are two to three times more expensive than everybody else. And when I actually do need some major warranty work done, damn right I'm not going to be calling these guys. Do not recommend them anymore to anyone.
Your whole company was great. I used to manage the garden department at Lowe's and we were contracted with you for all our swamp cooler install stuff. Lowe's service is absolute garbage. I even told the district manager right to his face at our weekly manager meeting. All the other department managers couldn't believe what I was telling them. But they all thanked me for saying it. And if every customer I referred your way was treated the same as I was by your company, that's an amazing thing. You guys were awesome. My AC broke, a technician was here within a half hour, salesman was here within a half hour after that and you started installation the next day. I literally went from a broken AC to a brand new one in less than 24 hours. Even at Lowe's, if a customer's fridge broke we might be able to get them that delivery 4 or 5 days down the road. If they wanted one right away, they had to come in and take it home with them. Bradley was my first tech, Drew with my sales guy and I had four technicians that I worked with during the installation. Mostly worked with Caesar. All the guys were great. I recommended you to a buddy of mine so I hope he follows through. One of those hometown value magazines came today. Lots and lots of coupons for HVAC and water heater stuff. I could have saved a couple thousand dollars , got a free furnace or a free water heater going with one of those companies. I don't know how good all the other furnaces are. I don't recognize the names. But when you say Trane or Lennox, you know you're getting an top notch, established and quality product. The 6 months no payments was nice as well. I know we won't be able to pay it off that fast but going to try to pay it off quickly. The only thing I would recommend, upgrade your tech's tools. They need the right tools. Bosch bulldogs are great if you're drilling a half inch hole with a concrete bit. But drilling a hole that's almost 3 in with a Milwaukee hammer drill or a bulldog is a lot. Especially with a carbide hole saw. Hook these guys up with a Milwaukee hole hawg, a Hilti, some diamond hole saw bits and a squirt bottle. It'll make their jobs easier, their jobs will go faster and you can fit more customers $$$$$. Y'all get five stars, two thumbs up, A+, positive peer review, 10/10, 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and I told Owen Wilson how amazing your company was and he said "WOW!!!". I'll definitely have you guys come out and do maintenance every year.

THE MEDIOCRE REVIVAL -
We recently had a furnace and heat pump installed with Mountain Air and they were awesome to work with. Working with Drew for the sales process was seamless. He answered every question we had in a timely manner and followed up to check in on our thought process. He was very thorough but also made it easy to weigh and consider our options.
Our install team was fantastic! They cleaned up and were very respectful and pleasant. We primarily worked with Travis and Rodney and Scott. The install took two days and they kept us posted throughout with updates to let us know how things were going.
They also made it easy for us to get interest-free financing (for a promotional period) and they are managing all the rebates and promos for us.
We would highly recommend working with Mountain Air! -
If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would. We've had a leak in our attic for years. We've called numerous people to take a look and let us know if they could fix it and nobody gave us the right answers. We were told it was something we knew it wasn't, told things weren't installed that should have been (unnecessary things), fixed something huge that ended up not being the issue, etc.
After years of frustration and a puddle in the middle of our entryway, we finally got in contact with mountain home as a last ditch effort. Dana was super sweet getting us scheduled and sending me information on their plans.
We were able to get scheduled quickly. Chad was our first guy. He was super nice and up front about what he thought it was. Admittedly, we made a mess trying to figure out the issue ourselves, which made his job harder, but he was a trooper about it. He made the call to replace a cheaper section of pipe that he was hopeful would fix the issue without us having to fork out a larger amount of unnecessary money. While he was in the process of tying things together, he had set his glue on a weak spot and it fell through the ceiling, splashing on our wall, floor and closet door. Y'all. Pipe glue is STICKY and dries so quickly. There was no "cleaning" any of it. He came right down, apologized PROFUSELY, scraped up what would come off the floor (luckily that came off fairly easily), and made it clear that he felt awful and that he/mountain home would take care of the damages, regardless of what was needed. He finished up the remaining work and let us know that someone would be here the next day to talk about options and follow up on the leak.
Unfortunately, the leak was just above where Chad had replaced, which was the more expensive section he was hoping to avoid. But, Mike came the next day, as promised. Super kind and thoroughly explained what was needed. He took his time replacing the other section, and walking me through what mountain home was going to do about the glue spill.
In the end, the only thing we were responsible for was the cost of the second pipe. Mountain home covered the cost of the initial pipe, the ceiling replacement from the leak/hole and the cost to have the glue taken care of. We got hooked up with Doug, who was referred to by Dana as their "everything" guy. He came out 3 days in a row to take care of the ceiling patch, mudding and painting. We had him take care of an extra spot of damaged drywall while he was here and he didn't charge us a dime. We still paid him, of course.
At the end of the day, this company has been quick, professional, helpful, kind, thoughtful, and has provided exceptional customer service. We will recommend them and will continue using them for future services. -
The replacement of our furnace and air-conditioner was a five star experience. Mountain Air's price was very competitive. Their crew, Devin, Max, and Michael, arrived on time and quickly removed our old furnace and air-conditioner. They laid down tarps to protect or carpets and were very professional. The replacement of our old system required extensive modification to our existing ducts. They measured everything and returned to their shop to manufacture the needed ducting and the new stand. They had to install an additional return duct and cleaned up after themselves; even vacuuming the carpet when the installation was complete. They worked all day and into the evening to complete the job in one day. They took the time to demonstrate the programing of the new thermostat and the replacement of the five inch filter. The new system is functioning great and we are looking forward to the reduction of our gas and electrical bills.

We called Mountain Air needing a plumber and Marty came out. He was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, competent and so nice to work with. We really appreciated all he did to take care of our issues.

Ryan was great! He was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The company overall has been very professional and we've enjoyed working with them.

Bradley did such an amazing job. He explained everything to me in detail. He was very respectful of my space and super friendly to my dogs! He was very informative on the things he was checking for and repairing. 10/10 would recommend!

I had a good experience with the salesman going through lots of options that would work for my house and my budget. Install was estimated at 3 days, it ended up needing 4, I understand that houses are unique and things happen. My issue came when we were planning on leaving town the 4th day of the installation. We told they we would need to reschedule do to not being home. This reschedule took many weeks. Again I understand being busy, in the mean time the pump for the condenation failed and flooded a good portion of our basement before it was noticed. The salesman quickly came out to address the issue do to the installers not having availability, this was impressive to me, we got a temporary solution for the weekend. When someone came out to replace the pump it was discovered the pump hadn't failed but had lost power due to a broken/cut wire (poor install) someone was finally scheduled to come out and finish the install. We adjusted our schedule and one guy showed up, looked at what needed to be done and said I can't do this alone.... more waiting. Finally the day came, estimated 3-4 hours to finish, took 8 hours. Lots of this time was due to an improper install that fried some of the electronics, so they had to go get replacement parts and redo the install. I liked most things about mountain air and would use them again I would recommend they do a little more training with they're installers to avoid a black mark on an othwise positive experience.

Mountain Air was great to work with the whole way through. From the first call to the salesperson explaining everything to the installer’s completion. We got a tankless water heater and a new high efficiency furnace.

Honesty is not their policy. Tech came out to check my furnace, talked me into some package that included an A/C tuneup. When it came time to do the A/C tuneup, I called and scheduled it. The rep on the phone said they would clean the coils and put my AC unit back together again. Two techs came out, which just doesn't make sense, BECAUSE THEY DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. They didn't know, but I watched them through my window the whole time. They took the cover off and my instruction manual was still under the cover. They threw the instructoin book on the ground and just left it there and didn't my A/C unit back together. They came back and said my capacitor needed to be replaced and it would cost like $380 for a 5 or 10 minute job. I've replaced capacitors before, they just unplug and plug back in. I will never trust this company and they will be the dead last company I call if I ever need anything.

Just installed a brand new furnace and AC unit in our new home. From the beginning, Matt and Hilary were great to work with. Matt has a very keen eye for details and made great recommendations that addressed some of the HVAC issues we were having. Hilary is a wonderful lady that assisted us with getting the right financing through Lowes. Very charismatic and easy to work with.
Keith and John our installers did an awesome job installing the system. The installation was very neat and tidy. No more dangling cables or long winding pipes and copper tubing. The installers were very considerate to our needs and were very accommodating. Excellent customers service and knowledgable in their trade. Thank you very much for your hard work. Highly recommend.

It’s been several years since my original installation and I’m still very happy with my HVAC system. I opted to have mountain air’s maintenance service and feel it’s been worth it. I recently received a visit from Scotty who inspected my HVAC. He’s knowledgeable and very attentive to the customer’s needs. I feel he goes above and beyond to make the customer feel appreciated and valued. Thank you for your great service -
Would give 0 stars if it were an option. Scheduled a diagnostic visit and was told they’d come between noon and 5pm. By 5pm, no one had called and certainly no one had come. I call and they tell me that they are still coming, but it would closer to 7pm. I understand that delays can happen, but there was zero communication from their end, so I was frustrated but felt assured that they would still fulfill the appointment. At 6:30, an hour and a half after my call, they call me and say that 8:30 would be the soonest they could come out to do the diagnostic visit, but not only would they be late, they would charge me their after-hours rate for THEM being late, a whopping $199 instead of the agreed $79, with the only other option being to reschedule or cancel. Mind you, I didn’t schedule an after-hours visit—my appointment was MUCH earlier. I had waited all day for them to tell me they actually will not come unless I pay them over double the agreed rate. I have no heat and you want to charge me over double because YOU overbooked? That is such a dishonest business model.

--------------UPDATE--------------

I have always been EXTREMELY impressed with Mountain Air so when I decided to update my HVAC system which was rapidly deteriorating I knew who to call. I replaced my old water heater which was popping more than my knees going up the stairs with a new tankless heater and also replaced my furnace and AC unit with a high efficiency heat pump and auxiliary heater.
There was a lot to this install and there were a few obstacles we needed to overcome. I am here to tell you that Carson and Chad made me feel SUPER comfortable with my concerns and I felt absolutely confident that they would take care of them. I took them at their word and they delivered. That is something rare I have found in todays world.
Now onto the install... Tony and Jaden were AWESOME.. Tony took time to answer my myriad of questions and every single concern I had, he took care of IMMEDIATELY.. I was in the Army and slightly OCD ;P and from the ductwork to the piping everything was immaculate. I have absolutely no complaints and if you are researching HVAC companies you honestly don't need to look any further....
Jeff was awesome!! Explained things and did a really great job! GO ARMY BEAT NAVY!! :)
Just had Rhett come out... Your customer service is absolutely AMAZING.. It has been a long time since I have seen a company who actually cares more about the customer then trying to sell me something I don't need.. You just got a customer for life... matter of fact, while Rhett was out I had him run over to my neighbors and she is going to switch you guys :)
Finn just did my yearly furnace check!! He was great!!! Extremely thorough and did an awesome job!! -
Some of the best guys in the business. Got diagnosed, quoted and installed all within the same week. The installers were amazing. Scott and Rob were professional and courteous the entire time. They answered any questions I had for them and gave me tips and tricks for the future. They deserve a raise for how above and beyond they went for my family.
