I would not recommend using this company. When I called, he told me that he had another day job and does electrical work in the evenings, which would have been ideal for my schedule so I didn't have to take a day off work. He initially said he could come out the next day but rescheduled last minute because an employee had something come up. No problem, once we had the next date scheduled for him to come out, he text me the day before and asked if he could come by that day within an hour of sending the text, which I told him I couldn’t because I was at work and we had scheduled day for him to come out already. He said he couldn't make it on the day we scheduled him to come out and he said he would call me the next day to reschedule once again. The next day, he didn’t call at the agreed upon time, so I text him and he said he forgot. We rescheduled yet again. He promised he would be there and I took a day off of work because he wanted to come earlier in the day. The day he was supposed to arrive to work came and went, and he completely ghosted me. No call, no text, he just didn’t show up. Don’t waste your time because he will certainly waste all of yours.

outrageous prices! needed an outlet installed for a dryer but only had a 240v instead of both a 120 and 240. The panel was literally 2 feet away from where i needed the new outlet so it took the guy 20 mins to complete the entire job, but still charged me 340 bucks! 340 bucks for 20 mins of work and less than 20 bucks worth of materials. Thats even after ordering my over new fuse because they couldnt find one that fit in my panel. Also they dont do dry wall so i need to finish their job for them. i get they need to make money but this was outrageous

The owner was very responsive and quick to get a technician to my place to help with some electrical work. The person showed up earlier than expected and was very professional, masked, and knowledgeable. He completed the work in a timely manner and the price was reasonable!! I am super hard to impress with this stuff and don’t usually take time to post reviews, but thought they deserved one.

These guys were so quick to work. They were in and out within an hour and now I’m really enjoying this room. They disconnected a plug that was tied to the switch and created a light fixture that worked with the switch. Highly recommend.

JM and Sons have done several projects in my home and everything has always been top notch. They arrive on time, get the job done, and clean up before leaving. I would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them highly.

We have used Julio for several tasks around the home, including the installation of a sub-panel in our garage. The sub-panel was complex and included running an underground line from the back of the home to the side of the garage. All work was professionally accomplished, the workers were very professional, and the response to our needs was exceptional. I would recommend JM & Sons for any electrical work, they are first class.

Overall great experience. I sent photos over prior to the visit to help better explain the situation. I had a same-day visit from a technician who handled my outlet installation for my washer/dryer. It was a quick, friendly, and professional interaction.

Just used these folks the first time this week. No-nonsense, efficient, to-the-point, friendly, accomodating, reasonable... awesome! They went above and beyond -- we had multiple issues, they brought in several people and had *everything* wrapped up in about an hour!

We will be using them from now on for our electrical work.

Plus they do outside pond work, pumps, etc. Plus outside landscape lighting...

The owner (and Master Electrician), Julio Moran, is a pleasure to work with!

Jm & sons is excellent, i called 3 different electricians / companies to take a look at my electrical pannel and a problem with my kitchen outlets before finding jm and sons. Comapred to the rest jm and sons rep Julio was very knowledable, great customer service, responsive, patient able to answer all my questions, give me reasonable estimates, time frames and was able to walk me through the entire repair / replacement. They were able to diagnosie and fix the issues with my kitchen outlets. I would highly recoomend them to my friends and family!

I worked with Julio here and he was awesome! I am a female who knows nothing about electrical things so he helped worked with dominion energy directly to figure out what I needed and how can he help do it. Due to the snow my wires outside completely fell and he understood exactly what to do. Definitely will use them again! Kept them on my list of technicians to cal first when I need something done.

Julio came and diagnosed/fixed our issue quickly. Great service, very professional, and was patient to explain the issue to us. Would definitely use their services again.

I called JM & Sons on behalf of an elderly neighbor who had lost power due to a short in his panel. Julio met me an hour later to inspect and found the panel had been destroyed by a small fire. He returned the next day (on a weekend) and replaced the entire box and all breakers for a very reasonable fee. He was prompt, efficient, and kind to my neighbor and I will use his company for any future problems with my own house.

I had a negative experience with JM & Sons Electrical Services. The prices are outrageous for the work performed. The tech who came to my home was not empowered by the owner to give a price quote, so the tech had to call his boss and then I had to get on the phone with the boss, and back and forth, which was frustrating. At the end, I was asked to write out my check to the owner personally, not to the business. That is not standard business practice and a big red flag to me. I will not be using them again and would not recommend them to others.

I am also now suspicious about these reviews because when I last checked them there was at least one negative review that I can recall - and that review is now mysteriously gone and only five star reviews remain.

The circuit breaker for my AC unit burned out on one of the hottest days of the summer so far. The AC repairman suggested that I call an electrician after a service call at 6:00 p.m. to make sure the circuit breaker box was safe. We called J.M. & Sons. Julio drove to two separate stores to purchase the parts and arrived at my house at 9:30 p.m. He promptly repaired the circuit breaker, educating me along the way about what to be careful about and look for. He was honest, very reasonably priced (especially for a late night call), and gave the impression of being very competent. Overall, his service was superb and I'm relieved to know that I have someone like Julio Moran that I can call upon and rely upon to take care of my electrical needs.

We just had Julio do work at our house, bringing our kitchen up to code. He and his team were prompt, responsive and proffessional. He answered our concerns and came up with viable solutions for our difficult project. I highly recommend J.M. & Sons. They were in the house for 2 days they worked cleanly and left no mess behind. An added plus the dogs loved him!

Julio was wonderful to work with. He would have provided same day service had I been home when I called. He was super efficient and got to the root of the problem quickly and showed me what to do in case I had trouble in the future. And for those worried about Covid and masks- he kept his mask on. I’ll definitely be calling him again should I need him in the future!!!

It is difficult to plan for emergencies when an electrician is required. I was, nevertheless, faced with such a situation recently when the 20-year-old bathroom circuit would not reset. A single phone call put me in contact with Julio, the owner of JM & Sons. He was able to stop by my condo and change out the outlet after hours on the way home.
