Doug responded to our thermostat emergency on a Sunday within 10 minutes of me leaving him a voicemail. He was at our house within 30 minutes and resolved our non working AC super quickly!

He was friendly, helpful and charged us a reasonable price for answering an emergency call on a Sunday. I highly recommend him!

I recently purchased an electric car, and needed to install an outlet in my carport to charge it while home. Doug came over the same day and offered an outstanding quote, well below the "recommended" guys, and was available to conduct the install only a few days later!

On the day of the appointment, he contacted me, let me know some of the things that would be happening, and his assistant arrived on time and began work immediately. They did the work professionally, working in the rain and cold, and finished much quicker than they originally anticipated. I was very pleased with this experience.

The quality of the work is top notch, and it works as well as advertised.

The finished product may just be a large plug on the outside of my house, but to me, it was the start of freedom from gas stations and a new level of convenience. Doug's work and dedication to completing a professional installation no matter the conditions helped make that happen for me. I cannot say enough about how refreshing it was to interact with this friendly, polite professional!

Doug did 2 different jobs for me this year so far: outdoor ceiling fan installation and most recently relocating an electrical box that was not centered for a new vanity light. He worked quickly and did a great job both times. He's very responsive to setup a time. I will use him for all future electrical work.

I contacted AES this weekend after losing power to a furnace. Doug came out within two hours of my call. He was professional and patient as he had to do quite a bit of work to find our problem. He was able to provide us with a solution that brought power back to the furnace and restored our heat. The price was reasonable considering we have an older home and his service and communication were both top notch. We highly recommend.

Very pleased with the quality and service of work! Doug is very responsive and professional. He came on time as scheduled and followed the CDC guidelines to wear a mask. I had three ring products installed and two fan light fixture worked on. He was able to quickly complete the task. He is definitely some one you can rely to get the job done. I will continued to work with him for my future projects.

Doug did a great job of installing my security light/cam. He communicated in advance, was on time, and installed the system quickly. He cleaned up everything once done. Great experience! I called AES for assistance installing two wall sconces after being rather disappointed by a popular company in this area. Doug came out the same day to give me an estimate for the work and came back later in the week to do the work. He and his assistant (apprentice?) were very respectful of my time and my home and did a top notch job! I'm so pleased with their professionalism that I recommended them to a neighbor who has been considering having lighting added to her home, and I am looking forward to calling on Doug for my next electrical projects. There's no need to contact any other electrician after working with Doug! There's also a reason he has so many great reviews...He's personal, punctual, extremely knowledgeable and very efficient!

I originally contracted him to run power out to a garage door I had installed in the back of my house- he came over, I explained my plan, he gave me the run down on what I needed and he wrapped up everything seamlessly. Installed a Generac generator in Feb 2020.We are so happy we did! Several outages in the past year and gen kicked right on while others were in the dark.

They responded in a timely manner, and referred us to services more tailored to ethernet issues, when they could have shown up and charged us for such advise. Wonderful people!

I called Dane Electric to troubleshoot some power problems. Dave came out the same day, diagnosed it quickly, and provided a crystal clear explanation on both the problem and how we’d solve it. Would recommend to anyone.

We had a wonderful experience with this company. They mounted three TVs for us, moving outlets for each one. The finished product is flawless and the price was fair.

They were also very responsive to email and on time for the quote appointment and the installation appointment.

Let me start off by saying that although I have never used Dane Electric, I am giving them the highest recommendation. Here’s why. This past Saturday we had some power issues at our house.. lights dimming, appliances and HVAC not working correctly, etc. I contacted Dane Electric on their Facebook page, and they promptly contacted me back to tell me that they were sorry but they didn’t have anyone working this weekend. But instead of giving me the “We can come look at it Monday” line, they asked me to describe what was going on and said maybe they could weigh in on what the problem was. After I described the problem, they responded that it sounded like I had lost a phase of service and that was a utility issue that the power company would be responsible for. I called Dominion, they came out and checked it, and Dane Electric was correct. Now that’s honesty. They could’ve told me they’d come out on Monday, checked it, then gave me the advice, then charged me for it. But they didn’t. They were honest. And that’s hard to find in a company. That’s why I’ll be using Dane Electric in the future when I need an electrician. Thank you for your honesty!

This was a great service experience. Dave was very communicative. I sent pictures of the problem areas I needed help with prior to the visit. He came in a timely manner and was positive in his aide.
The work was done quickly and professionally.

Dave did a great job on our projects (bathroom fan and outlet upgrades). He was very pleasant to work with, and the price was extremely reasonable.

Can't Recommend, But you Decide:
The owner came out for my estimate. He came across confident, competent, and knowledgable. But the quote seemed unreasonably high, and when I explained that via email I never heard back. Ghosted.

I got a 2nd opinion and found out the cable I thought I needed replaced didn't need to be! The existing cable was spec'd to handle the higher amperage just fine. So that means either:
A) Dane Electric didn't know that
or
B) Dane Electric did know and was going to charge me anyway

You decide.

Personally, I don't like to do business like that so I'm giving 2 stars. I respect that this guy has his own business, that's the heart and soul of America. And like I said, he seems capable to do what you need to get done.

Dane Electric is simply the best!
Purchasing and installing a whole home generator is easy, but have you tried hiring someone to maintain it?
That's the catch!
The big chains, whether big electrical or box stores, (you name it) are happy to sell you and set up a new unit, but not one of them is interested in keeping it maintained and operational.
Except Dane.
They have a dedicated generator technician on staff who has been changing the oil, checking wires and battery, troubleshooting issues, removing insect/rodent nests for our Generac for several years.
It makes all the difference to know our unit is ready for the next power outage.
Don't take my word for it. Check out their reputation as a local, generationally owned business with a commitment to quality customer service.

We heard of Dane Electric through word of mouth and had seen their work in a friend’s home. Their crew was solid, and clearly experienced. We were consulted at each step of install to make sure it was exactly as we wanted it. The upgraded ‘smart’ fixtures were installed with care. They took time to make sure we knew how to wirelessly connect and operate them. The added outlets look as if they have always been there. The attention to detail is So Much appreciated!

We will be using again when we install the charger for our future hybrid vehicle(s).
