Did not follow-up as discussed after initial appointment. Initial job was completed however there was supposed to be a follow-up call and quote for additional work related to the same job. After a few attempts to make contact and no response from them, I decided to add a review and move on.

Couldn’t ask for better service. I’ve used JR several times over the years for hot water tank replacements, valve replacements, and more recently a water line repair under my driveway. These guys are always very responsive and help you understand exactly what is being done and why. Happy to always refer to friends and family.

We woke up to no hot water this morning AND this is the first week of below freezing temps. I called J R Plumbing, who coincidently installed my water heater last year. They were able to come out and fix the problem at no charge. This is my forth or fifth time dealing with JRP and each time has been a great experience. Thanks a million J R Plumbing!

Joel was at my home in Chesapeake, Virginia today, Saturday, October 29, 2022 in response to a second opinion for American Home Shield. He called in advance to notify me of his expected arrival. Once here, he advised me of his role with respect to AHS. Following which, he asked me to explain what I was experiencing and proceeded to address the issue (washer drain overflowing). Although he faced several challenges in his effort to fix the problem, he diligently worked through them, even explaining everything to me as he did. Joel offered suggestions and recommendations, including ascertaining pricing for his recommendations. All in all, I am most grateful to him. In an era wherein it is extremely difficult to find competent, trustworthy and respectful serviceman, Joel has not only met the bar, but raised it.

Excellent! I recently hired JR Plumbing & Mechanical Services to update my bathroom plumbing for my new home in Norfolk. They exhibited the utmost professionalism and punctuality.

They were always available when I called and they completed the job efficiently and on time and the quality of their work was truly fantastic!

I give them a poor review for the simple fact that the technician had a negative attitude and energy from the ringing of my doorbell. I asked him if he had booties he can put on because I don’t allow people to walk in my house with shoes and he stated no then when I asked him if he could wear ones i have. I gave it to him, he proceeded to have an attitude and get upset then he’s gonna tell me that his job gives it to him, but he doesn’t wear it. This not Only shows your Defiant at your customers house but with your Job also. So you’re trying to tell me that no customers you have come across has asked you to wear booties coming in their house and you just tell them no you’re not gonna do it. That’s crazy to me.
Then when he came, I had something laid out so my floor does not get dirty. He proceeds to take it and throw it across the kitchen and then put his dirty tools on my floor. Why would you think I have that rag there i proceeded to ask him if he can Please put those tools on the rag as I spent time cleaning my floors then the whole time he is standoffish and appears irritated he’s not even telling me what the diagnosis of the problem so I had to ask him hey what’s going on for him to explain to me that he had to replace two things on my sink. at the end I just watched him. He was letting my water run and literally at three minutes. I asked him hey is there a reason why you letting my water run and his answer is going to be me letting your water run well “Benefit you” more than benefit me and I said OK can you tell me how and then How it’s going to benefit me. then he’s gonna say he’s trying to watch for water leak but the whole time I watched him he’s texting on his phone never once looks underneath the sink. So I proceeded to tell him well I don’t see you looking underneath the sink if you’re just gonna allow my water to run like that then just turn it off if you’re not looking for no leak because I don’t see you bending down and looking it was just a horrible experience I don’t know about other technicians and the service they provide, but I can just speak about my experience which was not a good experience at all. I definitely called the warranty company and told them to mark them off my list because I do not want anybody representing this company come to my house again

Joel was awesome!!! He was prompt and professional!!! He went above and beyond in repairing my bathroom faucet and a stubborn clog that we had. He and his company will be my go to from this day forward.

Joel showed up on time and with a Great attitude. He not only took care of what I had called about but discovered a toilet valve leak that was costing me water bill expense I didn't even know about. He fixed it on the spot because he had the part in his well stocked beautiful new work van. Such a nice man and very knowledgeable about his trade. This business appears to be very honest and trustworthy and I will be calling them again for any future plumbing needs. Thank you Joel.

Price Right Plumbing company was dispatched to our house after we put a claim in with our home warranty company, two gentleman came and told our home warranty company that the leak happened because our flange “broke” on our toilet which would cost us $435.00 to fix. I disagreed with their observation after further inspection and called our home warranty to request a second opinion.

JR Plumbing and Mechanical Services came out and discovered the flange was not broken just not secured properly, so they put two more screws in to secure it and it indeed was the wax ring that needed to be replaced saving us $435.00.

I believe Price Right Plumbing was trying to get one over on us or they are just not experienced enough.

AHS sent this company out to fix a slow draining sink. The company contacted me in less then 24 hours and fixed the issue in less than 48 hours. Very impressed with the customer service from the dispatcher to the plumber. Special thanks to Joel the plumber that fixed the issue. He was very professional throughout the process and he explained the issue and how he fixed it. I would recommend this company to my friends and family.

There was a visit schedule at one of our residences through our home warranty service for 10am on a Friday morning. The contractor actually arrived at 0953, so 7 minutes early. The conversation started with my reiteration of the issue: a leakage of water through the pipes in a concentrated area in the crawlspace that smelled of detergent. So, this would require a recreation of the problem by utilizing the washer having to release water from a full wash cycle. However, the technician told the customer to run all the faucets in the house and the contractor went in the crawlspace to investigate any leaks. After 15 minutes the contractor let the customer know that the water pooling in the crawlspace was not located under any of the pipes - therefore there was no leak. I repeated that the other contractors reported that the areas that had the moisture had a distinct smell of detergent also that they refrained from using the washer for almost 10 days. When asked if the water the contractor noticed under the crawlspace had an odor of detergent, the contractor reported that their sense of smell was not that good and that they couldn’t really say if it resembled detergent or not. The customer then tried to repeat that the reported issue that they sent in other warranty company and that the warranty company relayed to the JR company. The customer explained that the issue could possibly be recreated by running a wash cycle through the washer and letting it be released through the rinse cycle. When the customer was allowed to run the washer to recreate the issue, the contractor let them know multiple times that they had already been at the residence for almost 40 minutes and they had other appointments to get to. They suggested that the customer get a crawlspace specialist because they are only a plumber and do not know crawlspaces. They also let the customer know that they could just look in the crawlspace themselves when the loads release to see where any water may be coming from the pipes. Without allowing the washer basin to fill up - the customer set the load to rinse and the contractor looked under the house from the entry of the crawlspace and reported that they could see no leaks. The contractor was paid and they let the customer know that if any other contractor finds a leak that they didn’t, that their company would be responsible for the repairs (for up to 30 days). The contractor left at 1042am.

This experience was one of the worst that the customer has ever had. First, with contractors - there is always at least a 2 hr window for appointments to fully assess the issues. Maybe there was an issue with staffing or overbooking your contractors but the level of attention/concern that the customer has received from other plumbing contractors was just not there. It was very beneficial that the contractor was able to arrive 7 minutes early to the 10am appt time, however - your company needs to allot for a sufficient amount of time to actually assess the problems. For a customer to be reminded multiple times of time passed while assessing an issue that they are paying for is quite unprofessional. Also, the issue reported through the warranty was detailed and also relayed to the JR plumbing company database, yet the first thing that was assessed was a leak from running water throughout the house. This was unfortunately due to the contractor being given a skeleton work order that only said “leak in crawlspace”. Therefore, the visit was not given the proper assessment not to the fault of the contractor- but to the fault of the supervisors. The customer concerns were dismissed at the very beginning and the service felt quite rushed.

Steven was my technician and I would love to say he was so wonderful to work with. He was polite, informative and patient. And most importantly he got the job done in a timely manner! I will definitely use this company for future purposes!

I used JR Plumbing several times in the past with my rental property and primary residence through AHS. I can't say enough positive things about Joel who was our technician. He did an excellent job repairing the toilet, kitchen faucet, and garbage disposal. Had a bad leak under kitchen sink, Joel immediately detected the cause and fixed it. He took the time to answer any questions I had and explained everything step by step. His professionalism, attention to detail, customer service, and level of knowledge were commendable. The product quality is consistently outstanding, exceeding my expectations every time. I had bad experiences with other Plumbing companies sent from AHS that I refuse to use again. JR Plumbing is second to none and is my “go to” company for any plumbing issues:)
