Did a good job inspecting. Found and showed me with pictures recommended repairs. Failed to properly reinstall chimney cap and I found it laying on my lawn some few days after they were here. Informed the company and awaiting a response

The technician did a great job explaining the process and what he was doing. It's always nice to have technicians in our home that are friendly and willing to educate you on what they are doing. I would definitely use A Step in Time again.

I was able to make an appointment immediately. The technician arrived on time and was very helpful a d professional. He told me which things needed immediate attention and he will be returning on Mon. to complete the repairs.

I contacted a step in time to conduct a chimney cleaning and inspection.
The tech was very professional and answered all of my questions.

My fireplace was NOT completely cleaned. I opened the firebox and found TONS of build up left behind. The company I decided to hire for the repairs was able to clean out another full trash bag of gunk from my fireplace. This is unacceptable. Don't tell me something is cleaned when I can see for myself it is not.

Their quote was the highest of the 3 I received by thousands of dollars.

They are not chimney pro's, they are salesman.

Do not hire this company!

Excellent experience from the time I called the office to receiving a prompt emailed receipt at the end. They were able to fit me in same day and the technician couldn't have been any nicer. Will definitely be calling them in the future for my chimney services.

Kyle was on time and prepared. His experience allowed him to identify the problem quickly and resolve our dryer vent issue just as quick. When we are ready, we'll also be acquiring Kyle's service to repair our fireplace and chimney. Thank you.

Set an appointment almost a month out with a time window from 9 to 11. Got a confirmation call the night before. The day of I waited until 11:10 before I called about the fact that nobody had arrived and nobody had called. The person I spoke with said that they'd have to call the service person and would call me back. After 20 minutes of not receiving a call I called back. Same person picked up the phone. With no apology they simply stated that the service person wouldn't be able to make it today. They made no attempt to make up for missing the appointment and simply offered to start looking for the next available slot. Seeing as how there was a months wait for this first one I decided to find a different company.

So this company wasted almost half of my day and wasted the month I could have spent looking for a different company. I wanted to have our fireplace ready by Christmas but those plans have now been shot down.

I called two weeks ago and spoke with Paul who said they didn't have appointments available until the end of the month. Then he said he would call me beck the week of Thanksgiving to let me know if any cancellations had happened or if one of the techs could squeeze me in. When I did't receive a call by Saturday after Thanksgiving I called him and he scheduled me for Monday (today) from 1-3. I took time off of work to accommodate the appointment and then received a call from Paul at 2 stating that the office forgot to call me that morning to cancel and reschedule due to rain. When I expressed my frustration at the all around poor communication from him and this company he told me "obviously you are dis-satisfied with our service so you should just find someone else to take care of this for you" and he hung up on me... Why are the Christian organizations the ones with the worst service?
Will never use this company. Would give 0 stars if I could.

We just bought a house and needed our chimney inspected. Frank was very thorough and took the time to explain what needed to be repaired, cost, and why. I appreciated him being so helpful. We will be using this company in the future.

Highly recommend! I bought a home that has an old chimney with some concerns. I was referred here and they did not disappoint! James was on time, friendly, knowledgeable, and documented all the problems well. Looking forward to having them back to get the fireplace functional before the winter cold!

Our tech was very knowledgeable and the inspection was very reasonably priced. Took pictures to show what was going on and only charged an extra 20 bucks to do some caulking on the chimney that clearly needed to be done. I will keep using them for our annual inspections.

Frank was very honest and took time to show me traits of my fireplace. He let me know a cleaning wasn’t needed when other companies would have said nothing and cleaned it anyway. He could have pushed for them to do a simple repair for hundreds that instead he showed me how $8 and ten minutes of time I could do myself. This type of conduct will keep me using them.

Technician was Austin. He was professional and courteous. Gave thorough, detailed explanations and lots of pictures regarding what he found and what he did. He cleaned up well, leaving no messes behind. We highly recommend Austin and A Step In Time for your chimney needs.

Unprofessional and insulting. Would not let me respond or talk. Being a woman, I could not possibly understand the non emergency he was frantic about. Our in house technician resolved the the issue and A Step In Time is not allowed on any of our properties.
My first bad review ever!

I had Kyle from step in time come and clean out my drive run. He did an excellent job and it was very affordable. Also pointed out things I needed to repair on my roof without being too pushy. I know who I’m calling when I get those repairs done

JT came and inspected my chimney/cleaned my dryer vent. Very friendly, upfront about costs, efficient and thorough with his work

Mike was very professional, courteous, and punctual. He let me know what he was going to do before actually doing it and then gave me great details of all the work he did and the results of his inspection and cleaning. If I wasn't going to be moving away, I'd definitely hire A Step In Time Chimney Sweeps again! Thanks so much!
