The sweep/inspector Dillon called me when he was on the way, he was running early so he was able to get to us early. He was very professional, was a good sport about me having to let my dog in and out as he worked inside then outside. He was also very friendly to my kids and answered their little questions. He did a thorough inspection and went over all his recommendations. I will definitely be using this business again.

Representative was straight up and knowledgeable. Knew his limitations and was honest. Made his calls and was prompt at getting back to me.
I was very very appreciative of that.
Masonry price was quite a bit higher than other companies. Ended up going a route not recommended but price forced it. Good company, good people, think they were a straight up honest bunch, just cost was a factor, simply not within my budget, not that it was bad just outside my budget.

Fantastic service, Frank was prompt and professional. Would recommend to anyone needing a chimney inspection or dryer vent cleaning. The pictures and report provided are very nice to have.

It was required by my landlord and property manager that my fireplace be inspected. I knew about A Step in Time Chimney and decided to give them a try. I called and was able to promptly get an appointment for a reasonable price. Other companies told me it would take a month or more to get an appointment. A step in time let me in within a week or so.The service was very professional. I will definitely use them again.

We were beyond impressed with A Step in Time through the entire process. Scheduling a time for a tech to come out was quick and easy for the initial inspection and the work to be done. Dillion was extremely professional and explained everything that was being done for our repairs. We will definitely be using with company again and recommending them to others for any and all chimney services.

Technician was great, on time. I am scheduled for more work to repair chimney cap this week. They are a bit pricey, I found a similar local service 100.00 less, however I made the commitment so I’ll honor. I should have checked other prices before I agreed to repair. I’m sure they will do good work.

My experience was very good! I made appt a day or two prior, for a inspect and a cleaning if needed. and kyle got right on the job and came over on the earlier end of the time frame. Checked out the chimney from both ends. He took pictures and explained the issues I was facing/mentioned and how it was/should be addressed. He assured me it was not a big issue and could be fixed in no time. I’ll be looking forward for this company to come and help me finish this repair and many more if needed down the road.

I looked online for a Chimney Sweep for weeks and I finally found a great service in "A Step In Time".
I previously hired a company that took my money and apparently knew nothing about the structure of a chimney. Two weeks prior to completing my work Mike Shipe from "A Step in Time" came out to my home and preformed a thorough inspection. He was not only on time, but prior to his arrival he contacted me to advise his location and when he would arrive. Mike advised me that my chimney had a previous fire in the flu and told me all the work that needed to be done to keep me an my family safe this winter. He scheduled the work to be done in about two weeks. Dave arrived with his son, on time, and immediately got to work. They were courteous and pleasant. Dave made sure I was aware of what he was doing and showed me the problems before fixing them. They installed a damper and made sure, before they left, that I was trained in using it. I give this company an A+ and will always use them. Thank you very much.

I cannot recommend this business highly enough! They have been incredibly accommodating, and great about following up. We had a leak in our roof near the base of the chimney, and called A Step in Time on the off-chance that they would be willing to take a look at it. Not only did they enthusiastically offer help, they sent technicians out to our property twice to ensure that the problem had been solved—and they did it at no extra cost to us. This is a wonderful company and I would absolutely use their services again.

I contacted a step in time after several efforts to fix leaks around our two chimneys. From my first call through the completion of the repairs each person I dealt with was professional, personable and did exactly what they said they would do. One day we had to reschedule because of weather. I was contacted first thing in the morning given the next available appointment and assured they would be out as soon as possible.

James was the lead on completing most of the repairs. He was informative patient and thorough. He was the first person I’ve talk to you in several years that really knew what the problems were and how to fix them .

Not reliable. Most of the reviews are probably fake. Completely unprofessional and not trustworthy business practices. Took money, didn’t finish the job after few attempts.

We had an awful experience with Grateful Duct and Avier. The job was left incomplete, and their staff was clearly untrained. We were shocked by their lack of professionalism and expertise. We strongly advise against using their services!

We had the ducts cleaned on our house. Edgar and Jose did excellent work. They were timely, respectful of our home, and very polite! We were able to see before and after photos of the ducts and they removed all of the debris. The scheduling process was quick and easy as well. Would recommend!

Roger and Jose did a great job for us! And the communication is also great! They showed me what I was supposed to know before they started working and showed me what they did when they finished. Now our dryer duck is clean and works great! We will definitely ask them to come back again for other duck cleaning services!

The HVAC and dryer duct cleaning was on time, all vents and returns cleaned, Freddy, Eddie, and Mohammad are professionals. They noticed a broken return duct that was drawing air from the attic instead of the room. I recommend their services for your HVAC and dryer duct cleaning.
