The person who answered the phone was horribly rude to my gf. We needed to cancel an appointment due to a death in the family. When she called to let him know.. he was very abrasive and disgustingly rude, asking why we couldn't have let him know sooner. Sorry bud, didnt realize my grandfather was going to die. Total jackass.

I'm an old timer and have been with Richards something like 50 years. We went away for a few days to escape the heat, came back to find AC system not working. Thinking the worst, I called reliable Richards and they originally said it would be a couple of days for service, because there were a lot of calls for service due to the extreme weather. But, then unexpectedly, I got a call a few hours later indicating they had a cancellation and would come that same day. A stroke of luck, given the hot weather. Then, to top it off, the service tech diagnosed and fixed the problem in Guiness World Record time of less than 10 minutes. Truely amazing. It was a clogged AC water drainage pipe. The system automatically shuts down to avoid a flooded basement. Thanks Richards for the outstanding service.

Richards recently replaced my furnace. Overall, they did a great job in a short period of time and at a good price. I recommend and plan to use them for future HVAC needs. I have used the large HVAC companies in the past which tend to be much more expensive and difficult to work with. I prefer smaller companies like Richards.

The blower motor on my furnace seemed to be failing and after calling after-hours, I was able to speak with a knowledgeable manager about the issue within an hour. The next day a technician was able to diagnose the issue; a repair that cost roughly half of a new furnace. I had sticker shock and called another HVAC company for a quote and the owner told me he would charge me more for the repair.

I decided to replace the furnace which occurred the next day. The workers were professional and cleaned up after themselves. The work was quality, the technicians even did small things well, such connect the gas line with black pipe vice the less reliable/easier flex line. Furnace works great.
