We had some tree work done by Freedom Tree Service! Couldn’t be happier! They were timely, did a great job and cleaned up everything before they left! Personally spoke to one of the owners as he wanted to ensure we were satisfied with the job. He was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. 10/10 would recommend them!

Johnny and his team are always so responsive. We have had several trees come down over the years due to storms and they are quick to provide an estimate and removal services. He's always honest about what needs to be done and doesn't and his pricing his fair. Highly recommend them.

The Freedom Tree Service team was top notch. They removed an extremely large tree that was close to my house and a neighbor’s house where they could not access the area with their biggest equipment, so they had to climb and take it down the old fashioned way. They were successful and avoided damaging anything. It was extremely impressive. I will hire Howard and his crew if I ever need tree work done again.

I had a die back problem with my Japanese "fire glow" maple, which we love and is the centerpiece of our front yard. My wife and I called Freedom Tree service, who had done work for us before, and Johnny came out. He was on time then took his time and accessed the situation. Freedom Tree Service is now my go to tree service. They were very friendly and professional!! They were were here on time and worked very quickly!! I called one service that wanted $1200 for the same job Freedom did for $200. You can’t beat that with a stick!!

If your cat ever decides to climb a tree, call this company. They worked with another arborist company to assist me with getting my cat out of this tree. They continue to work with me, even after my cat jumped out of this tree into another one. They helped me, catch her when she jumped 100 feet into a blanket. Could not recommend them enough. They were extremely timely and understood the circumstance. Absolutely use them if your cat ever climbs a tree and then make your Outdoor cat and indoor cat.

Johnny and his crew were incredible from the initial phone call to clean up. His prices were very fair and honest from the start without pressuring me. From the time I called him to the time of completion of the removal and cleanup of two trees was a matter of hours. Amazing work, crew was friendly and efficient leaving the yard in pristine condition. Can't recommend highly enough!

I want to share my positive experience with Freedom Tree Service located on Gum Spring Road in Manassas. In February 2024, I received Johnny’s name as a referral from our neighborhood community. I contacted his office and Johnny visited my home to address concerns about our tree and that of my neighbors.

He explained that our 17-year-old cherry trees have a lifespan of around 25 years – confirming what a master gardener shared with me only months previously. Johnny patiently answered all my questions and inspected each tree carefully.

He suggested monitoring the trees during their blooming period to decide on the best course of action. During the wait process, Shannon from the front office was always courteous, prompt in her responses, and well-informed about my discussions with Johnny.

Today (May 2024) the trees were pruned. Johnny and his team arrived early and first secured the street and sidewalks with safety cones to alert passing foot and car traffic. We reviewed the specific details of the pruning process for our aging trees, and they got to work. They were meticulous when they cut the branches to ensure the new growth will come in full and strong. They were courteous, worked efficiently, remained focused and shared important details along the way. When the job was completed, I walked outside to observe the outcome. They left our yards looking immaculate with no trace of their presence except for the pruned trees – not even a scraggly branch was left behind! My parents have been customers for Freedom Tree Service for many years. They have come and cut trees in our yard and back yard multiple times throughout the years and have always done an amazing job. All of them have a great work ethic and are nice. I would highly recommend them for tree cutting services in your area! They are experts at what they do with great prices. They took away the branches that were blocking the light post, the ones that were close to falling on our cars and the neighbors’ yard and dead branches around the tree.

I recommend using them, from day 1 they were transparent throughout the process. Nate was amazing with explaining his approach on what action should be taken and how. Highly recommend Crown Down! Nate is very knowledgeable and really fought to try to save our tree. In the end it needed to come down. Scheduling and communication was quick and easy thanks to Jamie. Price was very reasonable! They have also delivered mulch to us the for two years now, did I mention at no cost!

Nate and his crew are the epitome of professionals and will be the only tree service I use from now on. I contacted Crown Down because Nate is an Arborist and I wanted to see if there was any chance to save my mature shade tree in my front yard. Nate used his drone to survey and document the damage in my tree. After reviewing the results, Nate recommended removal vs pruning and explained why he came to that conclusion. Nate emailed me an estimate the next day. They removed my mature tree, ground the stump several inches below the surface, back filled the hole with dirt and added grass seed. The crew used plywood to protect my existing lawn from damage when felling the tree and when grinding and cleaning up. When they were done, the only indication that they were there was the seeded area where the tree was. All wood chips, twigs and dirt were cleaned up and removed from the yard and street.

Crown Down was quick with a visit and estimate, timely when it came to starting the project, thorough with their work, and extremely professional throughout the entire process. The cost of our project was very competitive, and the finished product was exceptional. I have also seen Crown Down’s tree work at my office and the completed tree removal work is just as impressive. From start to finish working with Nate from Crown Down was awesome! He even took extra time to talk to me about my trees and some issues I am having with my yard. I had 2 small/medium trees removed and stumps ground and am extremely happy with the result! His prices are very fair and he is honest up front with what to expect. We just had an enormous, diseased Eastern White Pine removed by Crown Down Tree Service. Every stage of the process went smoothly and it was quite stunning to see the process of the tree removal. It is definitely not something you would ever attempt unless you were skilled and experienced, and there’s no question that Nate, the arborist and owner, knows what he is doing. He and his crew did the job efficiently, carefully, and were very considerate of our and our surrounding neighbors’ yards and driveways. After the work was done, Nate went over what to do regarding the soil in the area where the tree was, when planting could happen and even some suggestions of what trees would be good to plant. I had a large ash tree on my property that was succumbing to borers, and needed a crape myrtle in my front yard trimmed as well. Nate gave me a great price. It was easy to schedule an appointment and I got reminders when they were 15 minutes out.

I needed a dead tree removed from my backyard and reached out to a few companies for quotes. United Tree Care gave me the best price and David was so kind and patient when I had a lot of questions about the process. On the day of the job the crew showed up exactly on time and got straight to work. They carefully removed the tree. After the tree was gone David even gave me advice on what type of tree would grow best in its place. I cant wait to have them back for another tree removal for me soon.

United Tree Care did a phenomenal job on trimming our trees and clearing some brush and vines on our property. And for a very fair price. Experience was very easy from initial call to job completion. Everyone I dealt with was extremely friendly. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for tree care services at a fair price.

Had big storm damage with tree partly fallen on garage. Called several tree services but United Tree Care was only one who came same day. David understood it was urgent and sent crew within hours. Workers were very skilled and removed tree from roof without causing more damage. They worked until dark to make sure job was done right. Cut up all wood, removed branches and even helped cover damaged roof area with tarp until repairs could be made. Fair price for emergency service. Very thankful for their quick help during a stressful time. Have used them since for regular tree trimming. Good company with honest people.
