Constraction reviews in Norfolk, Virginia

I began to recommend this company to a friend and noticed some bad reviews that were shockingly different from my experience so I felt I had to post. We had our kitchen gutted and renovated three years ago during the COVID summer. We were recommended to this company by a neighborhood app. Their showroom was fine and it's obviously a family or that type of business. There is a strong language barrier and we had trouble understanding them but they seemed to have no trouble understanding us. Lots of people and contractors came in while we were there. We picked out cabinets, quartz countertops and a sink/faucet/handles. Because of the language barrier, I was not too confident they would show up on the given date, but a gentleman came as promised and took measurements. We paid half up front. We chose to remove the old ourselves to save money. They then gave us another date for installation once the materials were ready and again showed up as promised with a large truck. They worked from the truck in our driveway constructing and cutting everything to fit and even accommodated a few custom requests. It took 2-3 days. When they were done the cabinets were beautiful, they had put trim and crown molding on, and all doors and drawers are soft close. I would say our kitchen is medium size. That portion was around $7,000. All in all, our complete kitchen was $13,000, with us hiring different people for different parts. General contractors had quoted us between $35k and $65k. Our kitchen is fantastic!

***UPDATE TO ORIGINAL POST**
- owner reached out and sent someone to the house to correct their installation.
Overall I’m happy with the quality of the product- and I’m happy for the fact that they corrected the situation .

“NO guarantee of product” - improper installation
I went with stonewood kitchen for a whole new kitchen remodel and they also did the installation. 5 years after the install the cabinets began separating at the seam. If you look at the pictures- my pantry system they installed was not correctly done and lack proper structure and support since the side cabinet wall started separating.I do not have excess weight on the shelves - and you can see no damage from misuse. There is perfect separation at the seam as indicative of improper installation and/or faulty design.
I reached out to the company and they said they do not guarantee their product

Great job they did my countertops and floors as well plumbing and electrical!

Our kitchen has become a beautiful focal point for our home and a much more user-friendly space for preparing family meals and spending time together. Neil and Melanie worked with us to carry out and improve upon our vision.

Last year, we chose Neil and his team to redo our kitchen, and we're very glad we did! Right from the start, Neil and his team impressed us with their dedication and skill, including Mel, who did an outstanding job with the design.

Working with Neil was a breeze, not just because he was so knowledgeable, but also because he was incredibly responsive. He answered every phone call and addressed our questions and concerns promptly, making the whole process stress-free! One of the things we truly appreciated was how they helped us stay within our budget. We got estimates from four different contractors before deciding, and Neil's quote was the best by far - not just in price but also in value. The finished look is fantastic, and even after the main job was done, they came back to make some tweaks to ensure everything was perfect.

After living with our new kitchen for nearly a year, we still love every inch of it. If you're thinking about a home project, I'd recommend Neil and his team in a heartbeat. We've done so with friends over the past year, and they've been very happy with the results as well.

Thanks for making our dream kitchen a reality!
