Weston and Connor were both nice and professional. They quickly and efficiently solved my plumbing issue. We had used Norfolk Pumbing in the past but not since the name change. I highly recommend Powell's for any plumbing needs.

We had two installs in our upstairs bath: a toilet and a faucet. Norfolk Plumbing was superior from beginning to end of this project. Ridge and his associate arrived promptly, wore booties/gloves in my house, explained step by step their repair plan/cost, and cleaned up so there was no evidence of their presence. I’ve had many plumbers in my lifetime. Norfolk Plumbing associates were knowledgeable, talented, and exceptional with the service they provided.
Next I had Ridge and his assistant install a kitchen faucet. Thorough, patient, impeccably neat, and talented….the best!

The technicians were extremely professional, polite, and very helpful. They explained everything they were doing, made recommendations on how to prevent problems in the future and just went above and beyond. I thought the price was to high and initially had second thoughts but the technicians more than made up for that. I will definitely use in future if needed and will request the same technician.

I called this morning, and was fortunate enough to get an appointment this morning. The Plumber that came out was Will, and his assistant was Noah. Will kept me informed of everything. The leak was located and found in my tub/shower. It was repaired. The cost was reasonable, and the work was quick. I am happy that I called this company. Very professional and nice. I asked for a company card to put on my refrigerator for future use.

Our technician, Miles, has always done an excellent job addressing all of our plumbing needs - including exterior pipe de-clogging, tankless water heater repair, shower water pressure improvement, and leaky kitchen faucet replacement. He is extremely knowledgeable and personable. He keeps me informed along the way so I can learn a thing or two. We cannot recommend Miles and all the friendly staff at Powell’s highly enough. It’s a relief to have trustworthy professionals I can rely on.

Our master bath shower developed low pressure on the hot water side and I suspected the mixing valve. Josh and Alex arrived on time and did trouble shooting and determined we needed a new mixing valve cartridge (After 20+ years the Norfolk hard water took its toll). New part came in two days later and Kevin and Alex installed the new part which didn't completely solve solve the problem. After researching solutions, one of which was removal and bringing complete valve to shop, they decided to look at the hot water check valve. They found more calcium and completely cleaned the screen, which solved the problem. Throughout the process the three knowledgeable and experienced technicians kept us informed throughout the troubleshooting and repair process and were meticulous in keeping areas clean and wiped down. We were very happy with the service we received, timeliness and reasonable price. Highly recommend Powell's for your plumbing needs.

Kevin was amazing! Came out on an emergency call. Identified problem and had it fixed in under an hour. And didn't hesitate to go in the creepy crawlspace. Highly recommend.

Mike and Gavin are excellent. We are a local plumbing company and whenever we need a septic tank pumped we can rely on these guys and the company they work for. They have never let us down and continue to build upon the relationship we’ve had for years. I can’t express this enough, if you are on septic and you need it pumped out and checked make sure you contact Powell’s and ask them to send Mike your way. You won’t be disappointed!

Total professionals from the person answering the phone to the technicians who came out to complete the service. Garbage disposal had leaked about two inches of water. Called 12 businesses and got everything from a $175 travel charge to don't have room in the schedule for three days. Really??? What planet are they doing business on? Would highly recommend Powells Plumbing, they made time to come to Newport News and install a new disposal at a reasonable cost.

I had my master bath renovated over the summer. The contractor's plumbing had some issues. I had Powell come out and review the situation. They agreed to an action plan and were able to replace all of the plumbing in a timely manner. More importantly it works, done correctly and the team was highly skilled and professional - Vince H. and Keith L. did a great job. Would highly recommend them.

Excellent service! I’d give them six stars if I could. I had a serious plumbing issue that Will and Noah dealt with in a very timely and professional manner. They were knowledgeable, affable, and executed superior workmanship. I’ve had several other contractors through the house since they did their work, and each of them commented on how well done their work was. Couldn’t be more pleased. As I result, I wouldn’t think of calling anyone else!

Excellent experience start to finish with Norfolk plumbing!!! Sean came out and estimated our 3/4 bathroom addition and was the only technician out of 5 estimators who actually measured dimensions in our crawl space to make sure we had code required grade and plenty of room. The price came in much lower than I expected for the quality that people rave about; a fair and reasonable price that they honored all the way through. Sean also did the rough in which went really smooth; I mis-understood one detail on the contract from what had been mentioned while Sean was estimating vs. what was on the contract, and Norfolk plumbing went above and beyond to honor their word, doing some extra work for free to basically vent a pipe through the roof, even though per the contract they didn’t have to. They also covered the cost of hiring the roofer to waterproof it in which they also didn’t have to do. Final fixture install went smooth as well. At the end Sean answered all my questions and even helped us with a water flow issue in our other bathrooms for free, ensuring he thoroughly rooted out possible causes. When the city inspector came and I mentioned Norfolk Plumbing he didn’t even step into the bathroom but took one look and passed the inspection because of their reputation for quality and doing everything to code. We felt taken care of from start to finish and are very happy we went with them. Rare these days to find such quality and reliability without breaking the bank. Will use again. Thank you!!

We had to call for emergency service over a weekend. Excellent response time from the answering service to the technician contacting me and coming out. Michael Wilson did an outstanding job from his professionalism to his expertise in diagnosing and fixing the problems. I had dealt with Norfolk Plumbing years ago and was always pleased with their excellent service and now I am so happy to see that the company, Powells that took over has the same exceptional reputation. We will definitely be a return customer.

Absolute lifesaver! Came home from vacation to half of our home flooded with waste water. I was terrified it was a septic issue and couldn't be quickly resolved, I also had an inkling that a lot of the plumbing, electrical, additions, etc weren't exactly to code and thus could not be fixed.

We were told they couldnt arrive for 3 days, but ended up coming a day sooner. They resolved it within a few hours! And when the backup reached the addition and flooded our laundry room, they were able to come the next day to inspect and had the supplies and repair done the day after!

And the technician/plumber was an absolute peach! His name is Weston and I felt completely safe having him in my home. No bad vibes whatsoever and he was so easy to talk to. I cant speak to the price, as our landlord paid for it, but really any price was worth the service in my opinion. Really helped us in a pinch.

Once again, Powell's Plumbing and Air really saved the day for me. My husband, who had always taken care of our heating system, died last February, and I was concerned about some thumping noises coming from the boiler and the fact that the 1st floor wasn't warming up like the 2nd. Josh came out, did a thorough diagnostic, explained to me what was going on, and forwarded a (very reasonable) estimate for taking care of the issues. He was wonderful, friendly, courteous, professional, which is what I always fine the Powell techs to be. Very satisfied with this company and their representatives.

I had problems with my boiler. Numerous contractors couldn't diagnose the problem. I called Powell's. They sent an experienced technician out. He correctly diagnosed the malfunction. Repair parts ordered and installed along with the needed general maintenance. Their price was very reasonable. I won't hesitate to call them again or refer them to my friends.
