Marie and her team at FCI were phenomenal. Projects like this may not seem like a big deal to some people, but, for me, they can be nerve-wracking. I was only quoting for 1 room, and I ended up getting quotes for 2. The prices for both were better than what I was expecting. Having multiple payment options for them and being able to take advantage of getting both rooms completed made that decision easier. The floor for the den originally had gross Berber carpet. Underneath it was the red vinyl you see in the picture. I am so happy with the wood look luxury vinyl planks I chose for that room. I love that so much. It's been almost a year since that was installed and it's holding up so great. The kitchen floor had some problems after installation for a couple of reasons that I won't really mention here. Those details are irrelevant. What does matter is how Marie worked with myself and her crew to find the best solutions. I'm a patient guy and after a few months of trying different repair techniques, the best solution to resolve it was to replace it with a different flooring type. It really was the best outcome for me because I got the look I originally wanted for the kitchen, but, this style and manufacturer wasn't part of their inventory before. Since the installation of the replacement, I have had no issues and I love that floor now, too. It really brightens up the kitchen so much. Even though these projects took longer than expected, Marie was in constant communication. I never felt ignored or that any issues would not be taken care of. Everyone at FCI-Midlothian I encountered was very personable yet professional and I enjoyed interacting with everyone. So, thank you Marie, Omari (hope I spelled that right), Max, and the rest of the crew. When I'm ready to do more rooms, I will be contacting Marie and we'll do this all over again. :)

The owner and staff were easy, professional, and pleasant to work with. They had a great deal of material to choose from and helped us find a match for our previous floor. The family owned business gave a personal touch between the professional subcontractor and oversight by the ownership, ensuring quality work and a great experience.

This is the company you want to go with. The process from start to finish was perfect. Sauni, Max, Marie, and Carlos were all a pleasure to work with. I was nervous to selecting the flooring, but Sauni picked out the perfect wood and we couldn’t be happier. Max and Marie were on site on the first and last day. I appreciate all their communication and efforts during this process. We ran into a small hiccup (whoever built our house installed the baseboards in a weird way), but FIC-Midlo went above and beyond to make it work. They called in a guy who specializes in stairs from DC. They truly cared that the finish product was perfect. Carlos and his crew were awesome. Their attention to detail really shows in the how the floors were installed. I’m really glad I stumbled upon FIC-Midlo on Thumbtack. They are without a doubt the best around. I will definitely be using them again. Thank you guys! We love our floors.

I used them again and of course they did an incredible job! Max and Marie are a pleasure to work with as always. We ran into a sub flooring issue and they were able to quickly problem solve. I love my hardwood floors and can’t wait to use them again to finish our downstairs bedrooms.

Marie's company, Floor Coverings International, has done numerous jobs for me. From replacing the carpet and redoing hardwood floors to replacing an old tile floor and replacing it with hardwood and carpeting the entire house. Absolutely pleased. The process was seamless. Starting with the phone call. It was impressive to get an upfront idea of the cost. Normally people refuse until they see it. Marie said around when I asked but I still appreciated that as not to waste anyone’s time. The intake was clear. I knew what to expect and choose my style. The installation was quick and efficient. Have already made referrals.

I would give 100 stars if possible!!!!!! If you need floors, carpet, or any services this company offers;do not hesitate to use them. Marie is a wonderful person and you can tell she cares about her clients. They come to your house to do consultations which is so much less intimidating.
Max was the head of construction. He communicated so well throughout the entire process. The crew did a fabulous job and my floors look awesome.
This company is not a fly by night company. They are there when you need them to answer any questions. I did a lot of research before I decided to go with this company and it was all positive. I am so glad I decided to go with them because I have heard horror stories of new floors and a lot of these companies!

We just moved to a new home and Marie was an absolute pleasure to work with. We had a tight deadline and she got us from consultation to installation in under 25 days. Instead of just directing us to samples to look for ourselves, she asked us what we were looking for and curated a small collection of sample that fit our demands. This is particularly helpful for people that get paralyzed from too many choices. The installation crew ran into a snag but quickly made corrections to fit into a very tough schedule. Carpet was perfectly installed and site was completely clean upon inspection at the end of the install. Also, this is a veteran-owned business. 10/10 would use again in a heartbeat.

Floor Coverings International was great through the whole process. Marie and Max worked with us to get us back to normal after some extensive repairs that removed our flooring. They helped us pick out product, gave us a very reasonable quote and were helpful and communicative throughout. We are very happy with the work that they did installing our floors. They honored their appointments with us on time and they were also super helpful and understanding when we had to reschedule due to other conflicting contracting work. Will call them again if we ever need any floor work done in the future.

Not sure how to rate this place. They did some work for me but were severely overpriced!

Don't believe all those fake reviews they have posted. All was fine until I decided I did not want to use their services to "restore" my items. I asked that they be put in the back of my pickup truck. Suddenly not one person was available to place the washer and dryer and tool into my truck. Make an appointment with at least two days notice they said. So I did. Nope still no one available. Savonne finally admitted it didn't mater when I made the appointment, they refused to load them. I could do it myself. Real customer service there right?

I'm not sure where to begin. The original ERS company recommended to me was no longer in business so I checked further and found this company. Overall to date, they have not met my expectations of restoring my electronics damaged by a recent water peril. Also there were a number of items that were physically damaged by ERS during the transportation from Va Beach to Richmond Va, as well as the return trip. I have asked repeatedly for photos from the company so that we can track down the evidence, one way or another, where these breakdowns occurred. Their main technician, Rolfe, has consistently stated, "don't worry, our team has taken many photos of your equipment though all stages of our process". So I now have been asking for these photos for over 3 months now and all i get is excuses on why they can't provide this evidence. First they tried to tell me that it would be to expensive to download and send me the pictures. Then after Allstate continued to press the issue on my behave they finally agreed to selling us the pictures for $100!!!! I have a lot more to say about my experience dealing wit ERS but will hold off from discussing it now because of the many outstanding issues with this company that to date, has not been addressed. I will update this review as soon as this nightmare is over.

Trevor and Benjamin offered phenomenal service when delivering my washer and dryer to my home. Unlike the two gentlemen that picked up the washer and dryer (causing more water damage in my home due to the valves not being turned off), Trevor and Benjamin were very professional and treated my appliances with great care. There were small scratches on the top of the dryer that were not there during the initial pick up. Trevor and Benjamin personally went to Home Depot to purchase paint to repair the scratches. It meant so much to know that these gentlemen did their job above and beyond. Thanks guys!

Great experience and final product for the right price! We have a house built in 1925 so we knew there would likely be extra structure or plumbing work needed, but they were fair in their addendum for the work.
