We’ve had Damonte ward come out for a few repairs and his professionalism and respectfulness are unmatched. Always early with a 30 minute heads up he’s on the way. Fair pricing, quick and friendly. All around impressed with the service we received.

Carlos was extremely professional and polite. In general Michael and Sons send quality people and does good work. I don’t like how they itemize every small service, however. Very minor repairs can add up to very steep costs, whereas many other plumbers who charge by the hour can do at a much more affordable rate. I would have shopped around, but was in a pinch.

Andrew was very professional and attentive to details. He laid everything out and made the decision very easy to replace my hot water heater. I felt that Andrew knew the importance of replacing the heater in a very timely fashion. Highly recommend Michael and Son to anyone in the Richmond area, especially Andrew T.

Michael & Son are so easy to work with. The technician who came, Francisco, was thorough, clearly explained everything about our system that I wanted to know, and conducted a maintenance inspection inside and out. He left me with a written report including photos of our system, its condition, and suggestions for enhancements and future maintenance. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Michael & Son for any kind of heating cooling issue you may have.

I called Michael and sons after being informed that the heat was out at a home I rent to people I care about. I needed a company that would do good work at a reasonable price. I called and spoke to a lady who was kind and thoughtful in how she assured me I would be treated well.
The technician that came out properly diagnosed the problem, quoted a fair price and got to work..
2 days later, after unexpected issues requiring parts were finally resolved..
I had heat.
No excuses, no extra charges no problems
He didn't even tax me for the unsolicited advice I'm sure he got..
Next time I know who to call.

Derek came out and did an inspection. Recommended a couple preventative measures on our aging system. He was incredibly professional and polite. He did a great job. Truly worth every penny.

Tre did an outstanding job fixing and installing the new shower fixture products. He was very knowledgeable, informed me of what he needed to do, and cleaned up after the job was complete. He had to cut a piece of my drywall out and did a very good clean job and only removed what he needed to. Tre, I appreciate you so much!!

Predatory towards the elderly!!!! BEWARE!!!
My mother-in-law called me panicked. Michael and sons had sent someone over to check her leaking washer connections. The cold water side had a very slow drip which went right down the drain. The technician said he would try and “fix it” first. He “tightened” the hot water connection which didn’t have any leak then accidentally broke it. The technician then told her the whole house was going to flood and she needed an emergency repair for $999 and he would need to cut open the wall and gut it all! Then he made my mother in law sign away liability for it. My blind and wheelchair bound father couldn’t see that there wasn’t a leak.
After she sent me pictures i had to tell her to get him out of the house because i could see that it was not leaking more than a trickle.
I went to Home Depot…paid $18…and fixed the connections including that the one the technician broke in less than 15 mins.
It’s sad that this company targeted and preyed upon someone who is blind, disabled, and trusts someone to do the right thing.
Pictures are proof of how easy it was to fix that even I could do it…can’t believe someone would ever be so evil

Dayne came out because I had two outlets that were dead. He quickly fixed the problem, but then took time to explain what happened and why. He was very helpful and thorough and showed he truly cares about the customer. He is a tremendous asset to your company and I would love to have him return for any electrical problems I have.

Joan was terrific! He took pictures, showed us gauges for the different equipment for our system. We have never had such a thorough inspection for a tune-up! He also took the time to check the manufacturer warranty to see if it was still valid. We are extremely happy with the service he provided, and hope he is the one sent each time.

Terry morgan was such a wonderful technician. He was so knowledgeable no wonder he's a senior technician. He explained things so well to us. We'd loved the services that michael and son offers that we signed up. Knowing when they do come, we can get 15 percent off of the cost of services. What a dea! Thank you Terry, for explaining things to us.

De'Montre was awesome! He diagnosed the problem with our bathtub faucet easily and had it fixed within a few hours. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. His communication was fantastic, as well. I was impressed with how quickly I was able to schedule an appointment online. Service was incredibly timely and professional. Can't recommend enough!

Jaden was our inspector for our electrical system and he was very good. He knew what he was talking about answered our questions and concerns. Not like the plumber (actually kid basically) they sent he didn’t know what our pipes were for in the basement for the bathroom set up. He told us to call the builder to find out, like the builder is going to remember from 2023 what the pipes were for after building a bunch of townhomes.

Had new hvac put in by them exactly 1yr ago. He has been out to serve the unit 11 times in the past year to try to get it working correctly. Last time the AC disconnected blue while they were working on it. Service guy said it would be $700 to fix it. I told him absolutely not. If you get a man on the phone he couldn’t get a manager so the guy just left us but no heat the next day. We finally got a hold of a manager and the guy was like tough luck. There’s no way we did that sorry. The picture is four days after they installed original unit entire ductwork wasn’t put on correctly

Francisco Santana was amazing this morning, I explained to him What was going on with the HVAC. He did his inspection of the unit. I got a good cleaning of the coils, new thermostat as well. It took no more than 40min. I appreciate his service today. Thank you again for your help.

J. Santana was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained pictures taken and how to continue to maintain my HVAC system. What stood out the most was his customer service skills. He was very pleasant and clearly wanted to make sure that I understood everything he did during his appointment. I am very pleased with this service.

Fernando was outstanding from start to finish. He arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the leak, and explained the repair in clear, simple terms. His workmanship was top-notch—efficient, thorough, and clean. You can tell he takes pride in doing the job right the first time. The leak was fixed quickly, the area was spotless when he left, and the pricing was fair. If you need a reliable, skilled plumber, Fernando is the one to call.

Kevin Young did a fantastic job. He replaced a 2 gallon electric water heater under the sink in our garage. He was very professional and thorough in his work all Michael and Son should take lessons from him.

Juan was excellent. Professional and friendly. you can tell he loves what he does. He didn't just come in and inspect the gas furnace unit and ductwork in my apartment but took the time to explain the process and provide practical ongoing solutions that I would not known about otherwise. I will definitely use Michael & Son again and ask for Joan (Jahwan). 🙂
