A 5 star experience from Kohmar Air Duct Cleaning. From the first phone call asking about their services, to getting the cleaning performed at a townhouse I recently purchased, everyone I came in contact with was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Thank you for pulling out half a tall kitchen garbage bag of dust and debris from my ducts and vents. Highly recommend them for this type of service.

Kohmar is a great company. The Techs showed up on time at 8:30 AM and immediately went to work. They were both very professional and knowledgeable. First, they explained the process in detail and performed a walkthrough inspection of the entire system. They kept up posted throughout the process by showing pictures and pointing at issues discovered. They also repaired a few things they found wrong. Also, they were extremely careful and clean. I will definite Kohmar for all your fuctwork cleaning or any other services they provide. Awesome company all the way. Carla and the crew are just plain great. We are now breathing much better.
Oh, did I forget to say that Carla saved us about $7,000.00? We were contemplating to replace all the ductwork before we spoke with her. She took her time to explain how ductwork works and pointed us on the right path. Thank you, Carla, and the rest of the Kohmar crew. Great job!

I discovered the AeroSeal product while watching an episode of TOH. As an energy-saving enthusiast, I was intrigued by its efficiency claims. In short, AeroSeal’s primary benefits are a cost-effective way to seal leaky air ducts, which will result in more airflow through the system and money savings by not losing up to 30% of air escaping from all joints and junctions in the ductwork. This statement caught my attention and led me to do silly amounts of research. After being convinced that AeroSeal is indeed the real deal, I called AeroSeal directly to determine who in the Richmond area was an authorized vendor, attended AeroSeal classes, and kept up their education efforts. This conversation led me to Kohmar Air Duct Cleaning and Brian Kohring’s team. From the initial quote to the completed job, Kohmar did a first-rate job. The team is highly professional and very customer-centric. I asked A LOT of questions during the sealing process and never got the “oh dear goodness, not another question look”. In fact, the team was very enthusiastic about sharing details and explaining the process along the way. Setup takes a while, but once the team verifies that everything is fully connected, they pressurize the system and determine duct leakage. This gives them a baseline number to gauge progress as they pump the AeroSeal into the system. My initial reading showed a loss of 267 CFMs, equivalent to a 50.3 square inch hole. My air system produces 1600 CFMs, so I lost 17% of the delivered air through gaps in my ductwork. After an hour or so, Brian declared success, and the numbers were astounding. The new pressure test showed a loss of only 7 CFMS, which is equivalent to a 1.3 square inch hole. More importantly, my system is now retaining 99.6% of all air produced as compared to 83% at the beginning!. The process was duplicated for a second zone, and the numbers were equally amazing. I was losing 25% of the produced air, and after AeroSealing, the system is delivering 99.1% to the registers. I am ecstatic with the results.

I was looking for a place to do air duct cleaning at a reasonable cost and that would do quality work. Kohmar completely met those requirements and more.

Reasonable cost, quality work, on time, respectful of property..I can’t say enough good things about the team that came to my house. From the free estimate to the final payment, I’m satisfied and will use them again. They did not try to upsell and explained every step. When something unexpected happened, Christian explained what was going on and had a remedy. I can’t say enough good things..and I can tell a large difference in the air quality of my home. They did a wonderful job cleaning our air vents. The quote was sent less than an hour after the estimate. It was easy to schedule the cleaning date, and I also had to reschedule due to snow, and they were very accommodating. I loved the before and after pictures which showed how much dirt and dust was built up in my house.

The team that came from Kohmar did a great job! Very diligent and patient making sure everything was thoroughly cleaned. They worked hard and steady on task. My older home probably offered some challenges and they did a very solid job. I would recommend.

From the first day that the estimator came to our home I was so impressed with how professional this company was. He explained what would be done took pictures of every register and listened to any concerns I had. I was reminded of my appt. I was told they would be here at 8 and they were. Gavin was very thorough and patient wit the whole time process. He did a great job and represents the company well. He went above and beyond to check all the connections to make sure he did miss anything.

Employees were polite, informative, worked hard and did almost everything that was promised. They did not clean the downstairs bathroom fan from the inside which was the initial reason I called Kohmar. Also - would have been great if they had turned off the attic light and pulled the cover back on as it required a tall heavy ladder for me to do it and I’m old. I also don’t think I got the before and after pictures yet. Other than that, great job.

Excellent job done by Christian peace and his team. They were very receptive to all the questions and explain them very well. Very professional people I will definitely recommend your company to my neighbors and friends.

*edited to add that one of the owners, Jason did reach out to me immediately to correct the situation and was at my house within hours. Sounds like the service I received was a fluke on the technicians part and I would be willing to give this company another try in the future based on Jason’s excellent customer service

Very disappointed in the service I had done. I paid this company $200 for a dryer duct and vent cleaning because I was having major lint build up issues with my dryer. They came out and cleaned from the outside, but didn’t do anything inside. I still had the inside lint build up so I had someone come out today to check what the problem is, and I couldn’t believe how much lint he pulled out of the very clogged dryer vent. He was shocked that I paid to have this service done last month. So now I will be reaching out to pay a different company to have the service I already paid for completed (hopefully well) by someone else

Can I give 6 stars? Absolutely fantastic-great customer service, great job, fast, respectful, knowledgeable.... The other dryer vent guys didn't even answer the phone!!!

Can’t recommend Kohmar enough! We hired them for air duct and dryer vent cleaning. Christian and Greg were professional, very communicative, friendly, approachable, and thorough. They were accommodating when my partner was sick and needed to hole up in a room for most of the day, and they were kind enough to move heavy furniture out of their way since I couldn’t. They even gave our dog lots of love! Karla was WONDERFUL with squeezing us in and working through an interesting payment-related situation on our end. Thank you so much!

John and Anthony did a great job cleaning our dryer vent! It was definitely in need of cleaning and they got right to it. Thoroughly cleaned up the work area before leaving the property. They are very knowledgeable and very congenial individuals. They will also refit your old, brittle exterior dryer vent cover as well. Plenty options. We will definitely call them back for the next cleaning!

Jeremiah and Ton (Anthony) were great! They kept me informed of each step of the process and they were respectful of our home and belongings through out the process. Their work was great, they did not try to upsell any unnecessary work, but did offer suggestions for things that will need to be fixed in the future.
