First time we've used these plumbers. On time and efficient. Picked up a particular replacement part for our toilet before arriving, in case it was needed. It was! We like that they charge "by the hour" instead of "by the job." We would use Advanced Plumbing again!

I am writing this review due my terrible experience with Advanced Plumbing.
I called Advanced Plumbing to come and service my hot water heater. It was not providing enough hot water.
I had lived in the house for a few years and had never had an issue with the water heater.
The technician said that the water heater needed rebuilt. After he rebuilt it, I had hot water.  I paid the invoice of $651.00.
The next day I was walking through the garage to go to work and I noticed water leaking out of the water heater. I took a picture and sent it along with an email to Advanced Plumbing. The responder said that she would talk to the technician. She wrote me back and said that the hot water heater was already like that so it was a preexisting condition and that they would charge me a $60.00 trip charge as well as the cost to fix the water heater. Obviously this was insane.  I went back and forth with them for a few weeks and they were uncompromising.
I decided to call another plumbing company. The technician from the new company inspected the water tank and said that it needed replaced.
I told him about the previous service from Advanced Plumbing and he said that it should have never been rebuilt because the bottom was starting to rust.
His view was that they were either incompetent or wanted to make more of a profit by rebuilding the water heater. Due to how they had treated me I went with the latter.
I paid for the new water heater and sent correspondence to Advanced Plumbing telling them what had occurred. They were uninterested and declined to offer me any type of relief or compensation.
I am writing this review in the hopes of warning other potential customers. I never have a problem paying a fair price for services but it really bothers me to be ripped off and taken advantage of. I feel like Advanced Plumbing stole from me.
In case anyone from Advanced Plumbing replies and says that I am referencing another Advanced Plumbing (as I have seen in responses to other complaints) this is the Advanced Plumbing located at: 5324 Distributor Dr. Richmond, VA 23225.

I had problems with my bathrooms at my office. Scheduling service was very easy and quick. The guys showed up on time, fixed the problem and gave recommendations if issues come up down the road. From start to finish, everything was handled professionally and in a timely manner. I will use them again.

Always very professional and knowledgeable. I've used them for all my plumbing needs for years now. They are my go-to and I cannot recommend them enough. 6 stars if it was possible.

The plumber you sent is knowledgeable and personable. His report wasn't welcome, but he helped me understand why and how the conditions developed.

When I had a sudden flood of water coming from under my house, Advanced Plumbing responded quickly and sympathetically. Travis came from another nearby job to make sure the water was turned off and assess the situation and came back and fixed it the same day. All along, I was kept informed. He even showed me the old pipe and demonstrated how easily it had snapped apart. I’m grateful for a terrific job under pressure that was reasonably priced, too.

Advanced Plumbing, LLC (5324 Distributor Drive) recently completed a major renovation project in my older Richmond home – replacing all piping from below the first floor all the way to the street. I am appreciative of the excellent work that they provided at a fair price. The owner is well versed in working in older houses and has a great group of respectful, and competent technicians. Communication is important in a job of this size, and everyone (owner, office staff, and techs) strived to keep me updated about the project and progress. I recommend this company for larger, complex, residential projects where experience and competence are at a premium.

I contacted Justin about a change order to an existing project and his team was at the house within 24hrs finding an interim solution and ordering final parts. The team was very open to discussing the issues and gave me options to choose from. I would highly recommend this team for your next project (planned or unplanned).

If you want honest and top notch service, advanced plumbing is on your side. After 4 plumbers and contractors telling me I had to rip my whole tub out to replace one part it turns out advanced came over and said otherwise. A simple fix combined with low cost and great service, they now have a customer for life. Would recommend them to anyone in Richmond and the surrounding counties.

Justin from Advanced Plumbing went ABOVE AND BEYOND for my property! He worked in a tiny crawl space to get information on my waterline, when many others would have given up on the job. He is friendly, knowledgeable, on time, and easy to communicate and schedule with. I highly recommend him and his company, 5 stars, thanks Justin!

Travis and his helper were the best. They reviewed my concerns and gave me honest professional advise. They were fast and saved me extra expense. It's nice to have a honest company that was very reasonable. I was surprised at my bill. Advance is my company to call. Thank you very much!

The team sent to do the plumbing work was very good: courteous, hardworking, did the job right. Working with their office was rough: nonresponsive on a question on the invoice. But the lead rep who came to the house was highly responsive and helped straighten it out.

Do yourself a favor and go with another company if you don't want to have to pay for them to come back and fix an issue they caused in the first place. Extremely overpriced and the owner is an abolute joke.

Advanced Plumbing did a great job in a short amount of time adding plumbing for a shower to a half bath we were turning into a full bath. I thought the plumbing was going to be the worst and longest part and that was not the case! They knew exactly what needs to be done and kept the area clean. I also had them come back and install a recirculating pump to our electric tankless water heater, and again I have had no problems with it. Mike was kind enough to come back and show me how to set the pump if I wanted to have it on a schedule. I would definitely reach out to Advanced plumbing if I needed anything else.

I had a great experience with Advanced Plumbing! Joe and James installed my new dishwasher and faucet and did an awesome job. They were super knowledgeable, on time, and really attentive to detail. I especially appreciated that they took the time to walk me through everything afterward—how they tested everything, what to look out for, and what to do if any issues come up in the future. It’s clear they know their stuff and genuinely care about doing the job right. Highly recommend!

Great experience. The guy has to dig trenches to put the indoor pipes underground in the basement. They were very professional and skilled. This was a remodel of a tiny bathroom into a big bathroom.

Will at Advanced Plumbing made two of our experiences with Advanced Plumbing phenomenal. He was prompt, knowledgeable, considerate, organized and kept us updated every step of the way. He went out of his way to make the whole experience as painless as possible and we are very happy with the work he did. Would definitely do business with them again, as long as they send Will!

Steven was absolutely great and coming and fixing our toilet that a previous non experienced plumber had did. Fantastic job and would definitely recommend again.

They responded to a plumbing crisis very quickly and were considerate of our concern for our trees as they dug to find an existing pipe in our yard to reconnect our water service. Helpful and resourceful. Would recommend!

Justin and his team ensured the misdiagnoses of my plumbing problems was corrected and offered further information with regard to the cause and that saved me thousands of dollars as my insurance covered everything! Major leak....occurred at my home on Saturday. They referred a restoration company-Emergency Restoration Experts, LLC. The restoration company couldn't have anyone come out until the next day, thus, more water damage. Then the restoration company comes out on Sunday, spends 5 hours and takes their time ( thus, it is overtime or time and a half) Then they don't contact the plumber to come back and get the work done. It is left up to me. They work hand in hand together but, they can't contact the plumber with a severe leak? I have an 87 year old mother who has dementia. We can't use the bathroom or wash dishes, etc. Dangerous for my mother with her health. No sense of urgency to take care of the issue, only to tell me that they will not repair my issue because I was too upset. This is so unprofessional. I absolutely do not recommend this company! They are friends the Restoration company. Unbelievable!
