First time using Advanced Plumbing. A company employee returned call promptly to schedule a service datea time. Plumber arrived within the allocated work time window, and did an excellent job on repairs and explaining the problem. Would highly recommend and utilize company in the future.

We can't recommend Advanced highly enough. We had moved into a house which had some massive issues with a leaking sewer line (old cast iron pipes). We saw that it was leaking into our crawl space, but had no idea of the leak's origin - since it was coming down from somewhere inside of the walls. Justin with Advanced came out to give us an estimate, and was able to exactly pinpoint the leak after taking a quick look at our system. We were impressed, seeing as a different plumber had been out to the house to give us an estimate before Justin, and had completely misdiagnosed the issue.

Advanced sent workers out within a week to replace the pipes - these guys were super courteous and informative while they worked on the line for 2+ days getting it all straightened out. They even connected an old sink and replumbed it for us while they were at it, even though it wasn't in the original contract. We'll definitely be going back to Advanced for any plumbing issues in the future!

We were hit with the unfortunate need to have our sewer line replaced, and Advanced Plumbing was recommended by our neighbors, who have worked with the company before. While we clearly weren’t thrilled by this need, the professionalism and care from the guys at Advanced made it bearable. Replacing a sewer line is a big undertaking, and the rate quoted for the work was very reasonable. They were transparent about the how’s and why’s of their work, and as with nearly every large job on an almost 80 year old home, there were some snags. These snags were NOT the fault of Advanced Plumbing (old city/old house), and they were handled quickly at no extra charge to us. I would recommend them to anyone and will be using them in the future.

Travis called to confirm details of the appointment prior to arrival. Upon arrival he assessed the issue and proceeded to do the repair. It was completed in a timely manner and off he went.

Was anticipating an expensive repair but was pleasantly surprised and relieved. The two technicians were so great and found the issue was not what I had expected - it was a simple repair. I have used Advanced in the past and will continue to use their services.

I called for a plumber and got a salesman. A technician from Advanced Plumbing came out and looked at my defective shower handle for about 5 minutes. He told me that he had to break into the wall from the other side and replace the whole system - handle, faucet, valve, and showerhead. When I asked him to just replace the cartridge from the front and said that I would take my chances with the rest, he suddenly had a plumbing emergency and left. He still charged me $190.
Another company came a few days later and changed the cartridge without ripping into the wall. Everything is fine now.
I think Advanced Plumbing just thought they could take advantage of a retired senior citizen. I wouldn’t trust them.

My Manager called and said hot water is not coming., upon speaking with Justin, he immediately offered help! He is true assets to the company. On a July 4th weekend he offered his services. I’m proud to say I’m dealing with one of the best plumbing company in Richmond. 👌🏼👏🏼

The owner of Advanced Plumbing called me back. After reviewing the situation he agreed that the second call should have been a service call, and he would be happy to refund the charge. Justin, thank you very much for responding. If I have the need for a plumber in the future I will give your business a call. Thank you.

I called Advanced to fix leaks on clawfoot tub in bathroom. Plumber replaced overflow and drain and said it was fixed, $300.00. When he left and I cut the water on, the tub still leaked. I called Advance back, they sent out a second plumber, the next week. He tightened down original work, which he said was leaking, but now said I also had a leak at my faucet. I told him I would handle that as it was a new faucet. He then proceeded to charge me another $190.00 despite only working to tighten the original repair. He did nothing else. The lady in charge of scheduling, Julie, was very nice and professional in trying to resolve this for me. She went to her management, who lowered the second charge from $190.00 to $120.00. Nevertheless, I am unhappy to be charged for what should have been handled on the first call. How difficult is it to check out both faucet, overflow and drain for leaks the first time? Call backs should not be billed, again, for shoddy work. That was an expensive lesson.

We've used Advanced for years, both for plumbing and gas lines. They show up on time, and they answer any questions we might have. The owner, Justin, is accessible if needed. We'll stay with Advanced!

I've used Advanced Plumbing several times over the years, and they've always done a great job. Everything from spigots, to shower pressure, to hot water heater repairs, and new lines for washer/dryer, they've always arrived as promised and got the job done. I don't hesitate to call them at all when I have a plumbing issue. Their mechanics are always professional and friendly, and make sure you're taken care of. Thanks Advance! Highly recommended!

I love these guys. They are smarter than me so I trust them completely to do a job without me looking over their shoulder the entire time. I'm very happy with their service and will continue to use them.

I will not use this company again and do not recommend.

We had a service for a clogged drain completed on September 26, 2023 the technicians were friendly and worked for about 4-5 hours. I called on September 27th and left a message because the technicians left behind a huge mess including mud everywhere from digging up our septic tank, used bath towels to soak up septic water, a huge hole in yard (that my husband did offer to bury as to avoid additional overtime costs), didn't have gas for the jetter, and broke our spigot on the side of our house. We were charged an astronomical overtime rate. The tech had said he would try to work it out that we did not have to pay the overtime charge. I called again September 28th and after 2 attempts finally spoke with the receptionist. Nicole returned my call from the 27th, but no one else returned any of my calls until October 11. I called again October 9 after not hearing back for 8 business days, and finally spoke with the owner, Justin, after calling again on October 11, 10 business days later.

I was informed that Lee, the accountant, was on vacation but it sounded like she had just left or was about to leave when I spoke with the owner on the 11th. On November 1, we still had not paid our bill from waiting for a response from Lee, our system was backing up again and they do not offer a warranty, our property was still damaged, and nothing had been resolved. The bill I received was for $1262, and they eventually offered a $25 deduction from our bill and said that they should have charged us over $200 more due to a clerical error!

We paid our bill but here are the suggestions I offered to Justin:
Men should wear booties or remove shoes before coming into a home. Especially if they are working near a septic system and in sewage and have debris on their boots.
Supplies and gas should be fully stocked in the truck before arriving.
Clean up should happen as they go and not wait until the end of a service when overtime charges are racking up. Charges should not be made for clean up at all, that should be a quality expectation.
Home items should never be used for clean up.
If something is damaged the homeowner should be notified and repair should be set up.
If a homeowner calls with a concern, handle it immediately.

They came and gave me an estimate on some work coming up and responded in a timely manner and were friendly. But the $60.00 fee for an estimate is a bit off putting and was not communicated to me by the person I spoke with that set up the estimate and this was not going to be a small job.

Love this outfit, my go-to plumbers since 2022 for large (lead service line replacement, renovation work) and small (water filter bypass installation) issues. Responsive, honest and reliable!

One of the most professional plumbing service companies I've worked with. Prompt response, knowledgeable service and even followed up ensure job was completed. Highly recommend!

Everyone, from the owner, Justin, to his expert plumbers, to his nice, kind, office staff, are excellent--thoughtful, caring, friendly, and fair. They have done an enormous amount of work for us throughout our home. Justin offers options and helps us navigate through difficulties. We are grateful to have them as part of our household "team".

John and Daniel were ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!

Had a kitchen sink leak that we thought was coming from one source, and they thoroughly searched and tested sources to determine the leak. We were wrong. The cause of the leak was from a different source. They were able to fix everything in less than 15 minutes, after assessing it.

They were very kind, helpful, and insightful. Laila, who took my call, was also helpful and offered stellar customer service. I highly recommend them.

I don't know how one becomes a master plumber, but I am sure that is what John is. He was able to tell me the year when the horrible pipes we have were first used, why builders switched to them, and how they hold up against different kinds of pipes. His expertise is unparalleled.

I was referred to Advanced Plumbing by a master plumber, and I'm grateful to have used this company.

It’s easy to write a positive review for trade work when everything goes great and costs less than you planned. It’s easy to write a nasty review when everything goes wrong and costs more than you expected.

Advanced Plumbing has given me the chance to review a job that did not go well and yet they made right.

The gory details of what happened are not particularly important. We needed three leaky faucets and one leaky pipe repaired. It took longer than expected and cost more as a result. And everything wasn’t really fixed when they were done.

After we (I hope fairly reasonably) communicated our concerns, Advanced Plumbing sent a technician back (for a few hours) to clean up the loose ends at no charge. The repairs were all done to our complete satisfaction. Then, on their own accord, they reviewed the complete situation and refunded us about 25% of the total invoice.

I am sure Advanced Plumbing’s business model does not include messing things up and working for free. I’m sure they always want to get things right the first time and as quickly as possible. But when things went wrong (as they will for all of us), Advanced Plumbing stepped up and did the right thing. I’ll be calling them back.

Unprofessional company. My Home Warranty hired them to come service my garbage disposal/ kitchen sink. Someone was supposed to show up Tuesday, they were unable to make it, so we agreed Thursday, the day after Xmas. Thursday came and there was another excuse. We then agreed for someone to come Saturday between 12 - 2pm and that they would call when they were on their way. At 1:30pm, I became frustrated and called my Home Warrenty to cancel this job all together and reassign another company to service my house. Complete waste of my time. Almost a week later, my disposal is still broken the drain is not working and the kitchen sick is filling up with water.

Everyone involved in our project was friendly and very professional. They did the work quickly and at a fair price. Would recommend them to anyone.
