The technicians who did my HVAC installation were absolutely outstanding! They explained what would take place with the removal or my 18 year old ancient system, then explained what would be involved with installing the new system. Cleanup inside and outside was excellent. They now have a “customer to life!”

Weblist heat in 12 degrees temperature. The company that we typically use because they installed our systems (ARS) said their earliest availability was about 12 hours later so I called McCarthy Services. The technician was prompt, polite, professional, and he fixed the issue in no time. Thanks guys!

I had them come repair a tankless water heater which was installed 8 years ago. Took a lot of troubleshooting but Freddy fixed it. Definitely ask for him if you have a complicated repair, he is very knowledgeable and knows how to figure out an issue.

McCarthy provided our family support from Kenny and Lyndon from their team. We had a failed water heater in a home with a gas versus electric. They were both able to help us out in a rental property while keeping everything for the home owners neat. They were able to bring the water heater into our basement where the water heater was located and they laid down cloth mats to protect the carpet from stains. Professional from phone conversation, to installation, to review. Truly appreciate both of their help to get our household hot water again during the winter season.

Be ware if you need a proof of routine maintenance. I bought a condo recently and the UOA required the HVAC system inspected annually and submitting the proof of the service, so I am planning to find a service provider recently. Today when I was in home depot, a sales man introduced me the “tune up” service provided by McCathy. I told him I have no plan to repair or replace the AC system but I need a routine maintenance and a proof of the service which is required by the UOA. He told me the “tune up” service works for this purpose too. I was afraid there was any misleading so I emphasized that I only need a routine maintenance and a proof of the service. He confirmed there was no problem. Then he called McCarthy to make an appointment for me and let me providing the home address. To avoid misleading, I emphasized again over the phone that my AC system worked well now, what I need is a routine maintenance and a proof of the service. The customer service did not say no. The technician arrived my home on time. I double confirmed with him that I need a routine maintenance and a proof of the service which is required by UOA. He did not say no. I do not remember if he said yes, but he started to work. Honestly, the technician did a very detailed inspection of the system and gave me suggestions about the system, e.g I may ignore the rust and dust inside the system since it has been old enough and could be replaced soon. The system worked well now, but he discussed the best options for me, e.g the price to clean the system (for $1000+) and replace the system by Home Depot or by McCathy. I ask if he will send the proof of the current service to my email. He said yes. However, things changed after I made the payment. He sent me an email to describe the fact of my system, e.g it is quite old with rust and dust inside the system and should consider to replace it. This is obviously not the “proof” of the service required by the UOA. So I asked again if he will send the “proof” to my email. He said he will not. I ask who I should contact to get it, Home Depot or McCathy? He told me I could not get the “proof” from McCathy. He said this service is provided for Home Depot by McCathy, so McCathy will not provide proof to personal client like me. I argued that the service provider is McCathy, I have confirmed I need proof of the service when I made the appointment, and I have also confirmed it when he arrived. I asked why he did not say no before he started the work. He said he would not argue with me and left. I called the McCathy customer service later and ask if they could provide me the ”proof” of the service, which is required by the UOA of my condo. They told me to open a ticket for this request. Finally, I have no idea so far if I could get the “proof” of the service. I will keep contacting to see and will update. However, if you are required to have a “proof” of routine maintenance as me, you may need double confirm it before you make appointment for their service.

The technicians were very knowledgeable and kept to appointment times. Installations were tested and explained well and the main office managed the process very well. Thank you McCarthy! We will recommend you to our friends.

Unreliable. Second week in a row they did not make the 4 hour window. Last week I had to call to see where they were. Rescheduled. Today, again, nothing. They finally called AFTER the window to say it would be “about” another hour. I understand stuff can happen on-site but at least be respectful & communicate in a timely manner. Communication stinks. We adjusted our workday & appointments for this.

**update: when rescheduling for the 3rd time, because of our issues, we’d be the 1st on 2/5 & the tech would arrive between 8-9a. Sitting here at 10:15, no tech. Finally got a call that he would be here by 11a :(. Cancelled our contract.

I was duped by one of the technicians last year--he was a slick talker and convinced me I needed an electronic air filter on my furnace. I received one box of pads/filters to replace every 3-4 months. Sixteen months later I need more pads. I tried to find them online, they do not exist. I asked the technician for them, he says they will be delivered in the next day or two, and that was 3 weeks ago. I've made repeated calls, and while pleasant, I'm told the same each time--it's the parts department. Finally, I get a message that one box, not two, will be delivered, and the box only has 3 filters in it. I really was swindled by the technician. I tried calling Honeywell, using the paper I received at time of installation in June 2024; one number is non-working, the other goes to a completely different company. BUYER BEWARE! While the technicians may perform the system check adequately, be careful about all the products they try to sell you. I've learned my lesson, the hard, expensive way.

Showed up exactly on time. Installation of furnace and air conditioner. Reviewed the work to be completed with me before start of installation and again after work was finished. Highly friendly and professional. Worked with McCarthy years ago and came back over 20 years later. Will continue to use them. You will be satisfied with their work. Feel confident with their service.

Great experience! We always use McCarthy to service our heating and air. They replaced our HVAC system earlier this year. When our thermostat failed on a cold day in December, they sent someone out within an hour to replace it - completely free of charge. These guys are great, strongly recommend!

Always have good experiences with McCarthy! Today was a plumbing fix. Fixed quickly and efficiently and cost less than quoted. Frank is a pleasant and professional plumber.

I’ve worked with several different HVAC companies and I must say this was one of the best experiences. I felt very educated about what the issue was and options for any other items they covered. That said, I also did not feel like I was being over sold on something and no pressure. I chose not to move forward at that time, but I would have them back when time comes to service those parts of the system

Well… after 12 years, our air conditioner finally broke, and my husband and I knew it was time to break the piggy bank for a new unit. Elgin from McCarthy Services came to our home the same day we requested a quote, and he was awesome! He was very professional and took the time to explain everything we needed to know.

The next day, two service technicians — Jeremy and Jacob — arrived as scheduled and worked nonstop all day. They were extremely professional, polite, and so quiet that I didn’t even notice when the old unit was hauled away! Not once did I hear them complain about anything.

Thank you, McCarthy Services, for making this big purchase such a smooth and pleasant experience! Highly recommend this team for their professionalism and outstanding service.

We have been using McCarthy Services for HVAC and water heater maintenance since 2024. We are very happy with them. Prices are reasonable. The technicians are very knowledgeable and always go the extra mile.

This is more about the service tech than anything. I did not receive the advance call that he would arriving (I have a dog and things to move to access the service). He immediately overstep with suggesting on how to run my house (inappropriate). My service ticket says that he flushed the drains and tightened all connections. I don't believe he was working on the furnace long enough to do those things. I immediately tried to upsell me on many things that totaled more than $3500. My unit was installed in 2019. I asked for an A/C maintenance as well and he said no, too cold. But glad that didn't happen, don't think he would have provided maintenance it but rather upsold me some more. I was dealing with a used car sales man that didn't do a thing for maintenance. Very disappointed as I've had really good experiences in the past.

The technician Patrick Adams was on time and very professional. He checked and informed me that the problem was my thermostat. Patrick replace it and made sure it was working properly before he left. He explained everything he was doing and why he did it. Patrick also suggested an item that l needed for my furnace to work more efficiently for my wellbeing. Patrick Adams' is truly an acess to the McCarthy Company.

Was in Home Depot in June 2025 and accepted a promotion for an AC check up with McCarthy Services. Tech was informative, pleasant and everything went well. December 27 and a burning smell from the furnace! Not good so I called McCarthy and they came out and diagnosed a failed blower. Tech was informative and thorough. He ball parked a $3K parts and labor blower motor replacement cost, for a 2 stage blower. They ARE expensive at about $1,300 just for the part so I did some digging and located my warranty information but, the manufacturer was closed for the weekend. I knew I had a warranty but wasn't sure of the coverage. McCarthy said blower motor wasn't usually covered and never indicated if they could confirm and recommended I meet with a comfort specialist (sales) for a replacement system quote. This made sense for a 9.5 year old furnace if there was no warranty coverage. When we met, I asked about the warranty and zero effort was made regarding the warranty and a new system quote was provided. We needed heat with much colder days approaching and with the legal right to cancel in mind, I signed a contract for replacement. On Monday I got into contact with the manufacturer and CONFIRMED my blower motor was UNDER WARRANTY so I called the sales person and told him to cancel the install. Worked out for me because they were 2 hours behind schedule arriving to start the 8AM install. Leaving out the many calls back to McCarthy to get them to respond to the need for WARRANTY services, it ended up like this. They said they would submit my information to their warranty department and it would take 24 to 48 hours to confirm warranty despite temps dropping from the 40s to the 20s in the following days. They all knew I cancelled the install and have clearly retaliated because, I have not heard back from them, in any regard, and it has been 7 days. I called AllTech Services, they arrived the same day, re-diagnosed the issue, FOR FREE (Free Second Opinion!), and the blower motor was replaced, under warranty, the next day, before 5PM. McCarthy relied on my need for heat, inability to contact the manufacturer for warranty confirmation, convenient timing for them and failure to act in good faith, to sell me a $12K system that I did not need. I told them I was displeased with their approach and they said it would be reported to their quality assurance team for follow up. Another deception. I am grateful that I have some knowledge of HVAC systems because if I didn't, they would have cost me $11K more than I needed to spend to restore heat to my home and, I will never conduct business with or recommend McCarthy for service of any kind, ever.

    Good Morning,
I am currently sitting in my living room in shorts and t-shirt. Nice and toasty. This has been a long time coming after dealing with several companies and temp. fix hear and there. Finally broke down and reached out to Lowes and was given McCarthy company. Finally got my items in order and made the call.

Alejandro (Alex) and Caesar showed up to the house. They were very professional and friendly. I went down a few times and asked a few questions and they both took the time to explain information to me of what they were doing and showed me what was needed. I did not mean to bother them from there work, but they both seemed delighted to make sure i was happy and understood the process. Both were a pleasure to work with and did an amazing job putting in the furnace. Once completed they called me down and gave me a walk through of the updated and the new features of the system as well as how to operate and program the new thermostat that was installed. I highly recommend Alex and Caesar and McCarty services for any system repairs you may need! I am beyond thankful & grateful for there services!!!! No more space heaters and kerosene heaters needed!!!!!! Was a please hearing my wife walk in the house yesterday evening instead of dang its cold in here, to WOW... what do you have the heat set to!!!!!!!! :) Thanks again.

    Regards,
    Deon and Cristina Johnson

McCarthy was the third company we called when we needed a consult on a replacement heat pump. They had the best prices and after the consult they were ready the next business day for installation. Technicians were very knowledgeable and professional the entire install. They explained everything and answered all my questions before leaving. Very impressed overall with the transaction. Thank you!
