Marcelo has been to my house twice to fix things. The first time it was the oven, it was red tagged by the gas company. He came out and said there was nothing wrong, charged me $99. Okay I get it. Second time, I go into great detail with the woman answering the phone about the noises the washer is making. He comes out, I tell him exactly what I told the lady on the phone. He doesn’t even dig into it, says I need a new washer, charges me $99. Says I should have called him directly and he would have told me over the phone. Next time something breaks, instead of calling Marcelo, I’ll just throw $100 bill in the trash. At least I’ll save myself the time and hassle.

Marcelo just left our house after we called to fix our refrigerator which was not cooling properly. He was very prompt, professional, courteous, knowledgeable and personable. He also diagnosed a stove issue for us after quickly fixing our fridge issue. We will definitely be using "The Repair Guy" for all future appliance repair needs.

My Bosh dishwasher developed a leak. On the first quick visit, Marcello came and told me I needed to change dishwashing detergents (I had used the same detergent for 12+ years with no issues), leak continued. On the second equally quick visit Marcello told me I needed to wipe down the rinse aid dispenser, leak continued. On the third contact, Marcello told me he could not do anything further. I think he just didn't want the hassle of pulling the dishwasher out because it would entail shortening the legs to lift the dishwasher over the lip/edge of the tile floor. I felt the repair guy really wasn't interested into delving into the source of the leak because it would take time. He was happy to take my money and leave me hanging....$140 spent for nothing!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We own and rent out a home in Yorktown and called on him to get the fridge repaired. Tenants were impressed by his promptness and that he presented himself as professional - even with a company marked van. Marcelo called me when he was there and was very informative and let me know the total repair costs while there - he was able to get it fixed that day! Plus I was very happy with the affordability of the repairs! I will be calling on him again for any future appliance repair needs and will not hesitate to recommend him to anyone!

I recently moved across the country to Norfolk to attend school. When I moved in, my landlord explained to me that the last tenant had experienced a few issues with the refrigerator, and to keep an eye on it. A week after being in the condo the refrigerator stopped working. I was greatly concerned with the situation because a few days before the issue arose I had gone to Costco and purchased $400+ of food.

I called The Repair Guy and spoke with Cindy. She was very understanding that the issue required immediate attention. She worked with me to find a time the very next day, and made special accommodations for me due to the urgency of situation.

My Technician, Marcelo, was VERY HELPFUL. During his diagnostic evaluation he explained to me in great detail what he was checking for, and why. Once he found the problem he was honest about the cost of repair (I know this to be certain because I checked the price of the parts online). He explained to me that the repair would be expensive, and that it was his honest opinion that it would be a better option to purchase a new unit. He went the extra mile for me by giving me his personal contact information so that my landlord could call him and Marcelo could explain the situation to my landlord directly.

I have been using Marcelo for a few years and he has diagnosed each issue correctly and fixed my appliances so they are like new again. He was the only repair person who worked on Fisher and Paykel appliances locally. He not only fixed my dishwasher but saved me money on the repair by helping me get the part and telling me what to do.(it was a simple fix and he told me that.) He could have kept it all to himself and charged me however much he wanted, but he didn’t. I wouldn’t have known better. He displayed great integrity. I highly recommend him!

I just had the best experience ever with an appliance repair! My refrigerator quit. Marcelo came same day and is amazingly personable, friendly, trustworthy and extremely thorough!! I contacted this company during the Labor Day weekend. Our refrigerator stopped working the Thursday before. As of Saturday, our warranty company was unable to find a contractor. I spoke to Marcelo. He returned my voice message within 1 hour and offered to have his technician, Frank, come out the same day to diagnose the problem. The service fee was $69 to come out---on a holiday weekend! Marcelo worked with me to get all the necessary authorizations with the warranty company. He explained all the necessary repairs simply and clearly. We are extremely thankful we contacted this company! Marcelo provided excellent service and response throughout this process. We will only contact this company in the future.

We have used Marcelo for home repairs for over three years now and he is always our go-to when we need something done. He is kind and professional, does excellent (and quick!) work, and charges a fair price. He explains what he is doing and why and has given me tips on helping take better care of appliances so they last longer. I trust him with our house and highly recommend him.

This guy! My LG refrigerator was doing weird things, LG couldn’t figure it out. Of course my fridge is one month out of its 5 year warranty and gave LG gave me a list of technicians who were authorized to do warranty work for them. The first one told me they no longer do warranty work and the second guy never responded after setting up an appointment for a week later. I needed a technician to come and look at according to LG. I sent an email to the repair guy and he responded ASAP and diagnosed the issue over the phone, something the manufacturer of the device couldn’t do. He was so polite and honestly wanted to help and save us money in the process. I didn’t have a guy now. This guy, is my refrigerator guy.

I highly recommend The Repair Guy! Our fridge/freezer had stopped working. Called around 2:00/2:30 for a technician and was able to get one the same day. Marcelo was very helpful. During his diagnostic evaluation he explained to us in detail what he would be checking for and why. It ended up being the fan in the freezer and luckily he had one in his truck. Once he completed the job and ensured we were back up and running, we asked him a question about our dryer (as the cool down cycle wasn't working anymore). I was going to make another appointment and just wanted to know when he could come back (as it was getting late). He said he would take a look at while he was there and fixed that problem as well! Repair cost was reasonable. We will be calling him again for future appliance repair needs and will not hesitate to recommend him to anyone!

Repair guy is amazing ! I am giving 5 stars but actually wish I could give 10 !! Came because I was having issues with my dishwasher not draining. They came out on time very friendly and fixed my stuff within an hour ! Outstanding work ! Would recommend! Thank you all

Marcelo was very knowledgeable and quick to fix my Maytag washer that was shaking uncontrollably. Responsive, fast, quality work is what you can expect when he is on the job. He also gives you a year warranty as an added bonus. I would highly recommend!

I rate this company very poorly. I would not give him one star out of 5. I hired him to repair my washer. The washer was leaking water. He told me that the door need to be repaired. He was able to find a used door so he took off the original door and replaced it with a used door. After the door was replaced, the washer began to leak again. After calling him numerous times, he refused to come back out and look at the washer. I quickly disputed the charge on my credit card and I hired another company to do look at the washer. They discovered that the door was not the issue it was the "boot" that had a hole in it and this was why it was leaking. I spoke with Marcelo and asked him to come back and put my door back on and take his off and he refused. DON'T DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN!!! He is very nasty and very unprofessional and obviously he does not know what he is doing. The attached picture shows how he left my washer. He should not be conducting business anywhere.

Highly recommend if you need service on an appliance. Marcelo is outstanding. They responded to my initial call immediately, and scheduled repair visit for first thing the next day. Marcelo was friendly and professional. He explained everything he was doing for the repair and his pricing for the service call was very reasonable. Had my washing machine up-and-running in about a hour.

I called Marcelo yesterday as our refrigerator/freezer had stopped working. He arrived today right on time and was very courteous, professional and a "Christian" (which meant a great deal to us). His diagnosis was right on and he didn't try, or suggest, unnecessary parts. I highly recommend him and will call him as needed for future assistance 😉

Marcelo has been may go to repair guy for many, many years. Every time I need him, of course is an emergency! He is incredibly responsive and communicates when he will be over (this is RARE). He is very fair and honest with his pricing. I’ve never had an issue with him not figuring out what the problem is with my appliances.

I have also referred him to many of my friends and family. They have also been thrilled with him.

Thank you for responding to me on Thanksgiving when my oven broke, repairing my fridge when I was panicking over a leak on my hardwood floor, repairing my dishwasher when it wasn’t drying, and repairing my clothing washer. All of my appliances started to die off within weeks of each other. He is like family now! 😂❤️
