Amazing service!!! After several estimates, decided on Cole Electric for our total house rewire from aluminum to copper. I rarely post but this was a huge job with many unknowns and surprises. They nailed it! Mason made sure every detail was explained and completed above what was expected. Carter and the entire team were so hard working, professional and obviously very skilled. The extra attention to options and upgrades was priceless. We cannot believe how happy we are with Cole Electric.

Nice to find a company that focuses on residential. We had an unusual issue with multiple GFCI breakers over several months and they were very helpful on finding solutions. They even held team meetings to discuss how to tackle our problem. The entire team from start to finish were great. Highly recommend them. Thank you Cole Electric!

Mason and his team at Cole Electric were the consummate professionals!!! Mason was unbelievably detail oriented and took exceptional pride in his work! They did a major job of routing a combined conduit to an exterior 100amp panel. This was used to operate an array of pool equipment. I will be using them again without a doubt! My husband and I hired Cole Electric to update our house, a new main panel and sub panel, grounded all outlets, and recessed lighting. We recently had them back out to install an outlet and light for our dehumidifier. All work was done professionally and efficiently, and all the employees were outstanding and friendly. I contacted Cole Electric for a quote on several electrical jobs at my home. During the initial visit, the technician (Mason) broke the metal sleeve on one of our pendant light fixtures while inspecting the bulb. He casually suggested it could be glued back and concluded the inspection. After discussing with my wife, we decided not to proceed and informed the company of our concerns.

The owner called back and rather than addressing the issue, attempted to shift blame by claiming the technician had offered to repair the damage with super glue, which is inaccurate. At no point did I decline such an offer. This lack of accountability and professionalism was concerning, and I am relieved that we chose not to proceed with their services. I would not recommend Cole Electric based on this experience.

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide your perspective. However, your response is based on an inaccurate account of the incident as described by your technician.

For the record, I did not grant your technician, Mason, permission to handle the pendant light. Mason inquired as to the type of bulb in use; I informed him it was LED. He then unilaterally chose to manipulate the pendant fixture, twisting it out of position, leaving it askew, and ultimately breaking the threaded metal sleeve from the glass globe covering the bulb. The pendant was fully intact prior to his inspection.

Upon forcibly removing the glass globe, the LED bulb dislodged and fell inside. Despite my instruction to pause while I retrieved a telescopic magnetic tool to safely extract the bulb, Mason and his assistant continued to attempt removal using their hands, resulting in further damage: the metal threading was ripped out, and the edges of the glass globe were chipped as they tried to jam the sleeve back in place.

At no point did your technician offer to repair the fixture; I was simply told the metal sleeve “could be glued back on” to the glass globe. To suggest otherwise is false. My concerns extend beyond the physical damage. Of equal significance is your company’s response: rather than accept responsibility, you attempted to shift blame and relied on a factually inaccurate account provided by your employees.

This raises serious concerns about both internal accountability and the manner in which customer grievances are handled. If this is the approach for a relatively minor incident, I am left to question how your company would respond to a more substantial issue. I encourage prospective clients to review other negative feedback and determine if my experience is, in fact, isolated or part of a broader pattern.

Cole Electric inc. Is a great company. They were prompt, professional, and friendly. Brandy told me everything I needed to do. Jackson and Rhys made the repairs in record time.

My family and I have had Cole install ceiling fans in 2 rooms, kitchen lights, add additional outlets in our garage, and had them install a level 2 EV charger. Just recently had them upgrade our 150A to a 200A electrical panel, replace all breakers, have 2 more grounding rods installed, added 2 lights and an outlet on our front patio. They went above and beyond and were really fast. They even found faults that out solar company did on their install and fixed their mistakes on the spot. Hands down, the best electricians in the Hampton Roads area.

Steve and Jarrett came within the scheduled time frame. Both had face masks on all the time. Initially, they installed an EV outlet (14-50 NEMA 50 amp) and was already familiar with the ground orientation of the outlet. After, that quick install, they troubleshot an outlet inside the house and a light fixture that was not giving full light. They had shoe coverings all the time while inside my home. That did not take long either. They were done in about an hour. Price was fair and reasonable. They also gave me a fair price quote on a portable generator outlet and breaker. I highly recommend Cole Electric Inc. to my relatives and friends needing residential electrical work! Keep up the great work and reasonable prices!

Cole Electric was fantastic. From the call to the answering service on Sunday evening to a prompt return call at 8:30am on Monday morning. Carter and Will came to my home and diagnosed the problem and corrected it with no issues. Both Carter and Will did a superb job; they were punctual, polite, knowledgeable and friendly. Seth and Ryan were exactly on time, divided and conquered 2 issues while I was on a call for work. They re-wired, fixed, tested one issue and resolved a breaker panel problem. From start to finish 20 minutes. I Highly recommend them. Professional, capable, friendly and great listeners.

Hampton Roads Electric is the best...great company, husband & wife team, great to work with, travis is very nice, respectful and explains the work that has to be done in detail and in Layman's terms so that you can understand,he is always on time and if he is going to be running a little late he calls to let you know,If travis or his Employees see anything there is not correctly wired or not up to code they will talk to you about it & let you know what's wrong with it,how it has to be fixed to be legal & work properly and what the Estimated cost Would be to fix or replace it whether in stone by him or on another electrical company...
