Outstanding service. My AC was broken and they were able to come out the same day and fix it. The technicians were friendly, competent, and efficient. I have used other companies in the area for HVAC and JT is hand-down the best. Update 8/1/2023. I used this company again to fix my HVAC, and again they had outstanding customer service and their technician was prompt, knowledgeable, and did a great job.

Jeff came out and gave me an estimate on a new AC system. He pointed out a problem with the existing duct, and had a plan to correct it when the new system was installed.
Mike (Jeff's son) led the team of installation. They worked on the installation for over a whole day. Mike was detail oriented; he made sure everything was done right. I have three AC systems; each was installed by a different company. JT Mechanical offers the best installation. Highly recommended.

JT Mechanical installed both our downstairs and upstairs AC & heating units. They were professional, honest, friendly, timely, and focused on doing the job right. They came up with the best solution for our upstairs heat problem after thinking through the options and had it installed in 2 days. They called afterwards to make sure everything was working properly. Would definitely use them again.

Recently purchased a home with a very old and outdated heating and A/C system. Knew that it needed a complete system replace. We did an extensive amount of homework of companies and came across JT Mechanical. After an estimate and multiple phone calls, we are so incredibly happy that we went with them to buy and install our new HVAC system. The whole team were extremely professional, kind, respectful, and efficient. All went above and beyond to ensure satisfaction. The owner is also a true professional and you can tell cares very much about the company and his employees. He answered all of our questions throughout the process and afterward as well. He even reached out a few days after the install to ensure that the system was working correctly and was meeting our needs. I can't say it enough: amazing company, great installation of new system, and unmatched level of service. I recommend them to everyone we have talked to and will always go to them if we need anything.

Our air conditioner went out on a Sunday and we called JT Mechanical because of their great reviews. Jeff called us right back and said they would be out the next day. Mike and his crew did an amazing job. They were efficient and very neat. I highly recommend this company.

I especially appreciated that he wore shoe covers to walk through our home. I was able to schedule an appt. same day and their price was very reasonable for such outstanding service. No complaints. JT Mechanical has come to our home 3 times, first to fix a heating problem, then to check on the system after a power outage (without charging us). Our most recent experience was replacing a capacitor on our heat pump. Prompt and professional, reasonable rates. We can trust this company and Jeff, the owner, to do great work. Highly recommend.

After calling and leaving a message that my heat pump was not working properly I received a call back that a technician could be at my home immediately. Chris and Rick arrived within a half hour, diagnosed that my heat strip was bad and fixed the problem within an hour. They then diagnosed and verified the rest of my system in good working condition. I am very satisfied with the fast response from JT Mechanical and the professionalism and knowledge displayed by the technicians.

We have used JT for over 10 years. He services both our home and rental properties. He is fast and reliable. Hardworking and prompt. He installed 2 entire units for us on less than a few hours notice and the price was great! Those units work with out fail year after year. We have referred him to friends and family, and they have referred him again. You simply will not find anyone better in the business. Every job is done right the first time. On our most recent service call (on our cantankerous home unit --installed by someone before we found Jeff), he asked us to hold payment until he could be sure the fix worked. Of, course it worked. We knew it would work, as his work is of the highest quality, but he insisted. He is the epitome of customer service!

Our furnace went out the day after Thanksgiving this year. I called JT Mechanical Saturday morning and the owner Jeff was at our house within a few hours. Being a holiday weekend, only one supply shop was open with the part we needed. Jeff drove to another city to pick the part up in order to get our heat up and running that day. The following Monday Jeff called to see how everything was working and said he wanted to come back out to make sure there wasn't a problem with our heat exchange. It turns out that our heat exchange had in fact cracked in two places due to a bad install we had done 2 years ago. After seeing the holes in the exchange, I was even more grateful for Jeff's attention to detail. He walked me though my current HVAC system, explaining where the issues were and offering solutions. My only regret was that I didn't call JT Mechanical 2 years ago when we had the system installed! Jeff and his team (Mike, Ryan and David) were out the next week fixing the bad install we previously had. The difference in workmanship, professionalism and technical knowledge was night and day. The level of professional pride and the customer first approach with JT Mechanical is truly remarkable and not something you find often in this day and age.

Best service ever. Jeff gave us a detailed quote outlining changes to our current system for better efficiency. His team was professional, polite, clean and detail oriented. They cleaned up each day and left the place looking better than when they started. We will use them again and recommend them highly.

My A/C was out for two days. I called another company and was scheduled an appointment at 8:30 A.M. To my disappointment no one came, and when I called them I got a voicemail. I found JT Mechanical Co through yelp, and saw great reviews. Now I know why this company has so many 5 stars. I called JT Mechanical Co and talked to Jeff the owner, he came within two hours. He was professional, honest, and he is an expert. He fixed my A/C the same day, and even came back for a checkup the next day! Honest pricing, honest service, thank you for the excellent customer service. You have a customer for life.

These guys are fantastic. My heating issue was fixed quickly. They came out last minute and was able to get my issue fixed without waiting. I know not all heating issues are simple, but these guys were professional and small town helpful. Mike and David were great representatives of the company as well as the young lady that answers their phone in the morning. They were all very polite. The guys covered the work area to keep it clean. I have to say that I am very impressed with their work.

I’d been fixing for awhile to replace our downstairs package unit, replace our upstairs split system, and replace damaged ductwork in the crawlspace. Because this was a significant investment, I spent a good amount of time researching equipment and contractors, and eventually decided to work with JT Mechanical. Now, nearly a month later, I feel good about the decision.

I was impressed with every part of the experience. Jeff took the time to answer my questions and presented a detailed and easy-to-understand quote that listed precisely what I was getting. Mike and the crew did a superb job on the installation and cut absolutely no corners. In fact, the city inspector was impressed with the results.

If anyone reading this is looking for a reliable HVAC contractor, I’d definitely recommend them. I’ll be looking forward to having them back to do regular maintenance.

I hope this review saves you some time from looking at other companies to replace or service your HVAC system. We have owned 3 homes in Chesapeake and JT Mechanical has installed new systems in all three homes and they have serviced our equipment to date. Their pricing is great and the best part is how meticulous their installations are. I am very picky but could not find one thing that wasn't done perfectly. They definitely provide honest, professional service but most importantly, they do things right the first time. Outstanding company, great people. They have a customer for life in me for sure. We truly had no idea what was going on with our AC other than it wasn’t cooling. Called and spoke with Jeff early in the morning and a tech was out the same morning earlier than forecast! He was great and truly looked over the system. While we were fearing the worst, he said he thought it only needed a bit of refrigerant. What a relief! He could have told us the system needed to be replaced or other costly repairs, but he was honest and now has a customer for life. We will definitely call later in the summer to check out our heating unit and then again next spring for an AC check. Definitely an honest and professional company!

My 2yo Carrier furnace popped a Ignition Lockout fault at 2am this morning. I called JT Mechanical, who installed it, at 8:30 and they were able to have a service technician out to the house at 10:30. Mike was very professional, knowledgeable, and had the furnace working again in about 10 minutes. I highly recommend JT Mechanical for all of your HVAC needs!

Came next day and fit my late schedule and did a great job and very reasonable!

I have used JT Mechanical twice now. Jeff was extremely helpful over the phone guiding me through how to check what may be wrong with the unit.
