I have used Paramount Tree Services numerous times for tree work. I have found their crew to be respectful, punctual and professional. I would recommend them for any tree work.

Chris and his team did a fantastic job removing a dead pine tree in our front yard. It was a danger to our house as well as those driving by on the main road. It was quickly removed and its original location perfectly landscaped.

I can't speak highly enough of Chris and Crew with Paramount. I had a largish very sick and hollow red oak leaning and curving up over power lines and neighbor's driveway. Chris' estimate to remove it was very reasonable; he coordinated with Dominion Energy to have mine and neighbor's service entrance lines dropped so they could work safely; tree was down in a few hours and power restored before 2pm. And Chris called to follow up, make sure power was back and all was well. My search for a local professional tree removal service is over. Call Chris; he will answer or call you back asap (not text).

Chris Phelps and his crew did a phenomenal job--again--with our trees. This is the third time he's helped us and I always appreciate the care and attention, especially since Chris is a certified arborist as are members of his team. They came back to do a few extra things after we talked by phone and made sure we were happy with everything. His crew was courteous and cleaned up everything and I highly recommend them to anyone in Williamsburg, VA and the surrounding areas.

We used their services to have a tree that had broken during a storm removed. Chris was so helpful and ended up assessing other trees on our property as well. Once they came out we had an additional tree removed that was impeding growth of others. They were efficient, professional, and so easy to work with. Totally recommend them!

Exceptional company! I can't say enough about Chris (owner), Jose, Graham, and the entire Paramount crew. Chris took his time to explain options and answer our questions. Chris and his crew are professional in every way including the machinery used, PPE, safety briefing, uniforms, etc. They communicated well with us and each other. They actually seemed to enjoy the work. Refreshing to experience and a pleasure to watch.

We had a ginormous Red Oak come down in our backyard, taking part of our fence, a very large Beech, and many smaller trees (even though still large to us) with it..Chris came out the day we called him and we had his very reasonable quote that same day.

From the time the crew entered our property , they were respectful of us (the clients) and our property. They worked two full days. Honestly the crew left the property in better shape than before the tree fell! They cleaned up not only the work area but the driveway, the roadway, the patio, etc.

We HIGHLY recommend Paramount and will use them for any future tree work.

We have been pleased to see our trees and shrubs looking better every year. The Bartlett team prunes and provides soil and pest management annually . Kyle Foster is knowledgeable and relates well to his customers. It is a pleasure to work with such a professional and friendly man and his crew.

Austin and his team did an outstanding job. They explained their process completely and were perfectly professional and diligent. We had a lot of ice on our yard and driveway due to the recent ice storm, but that posed no issues for them. Would certainly use them again for all our tree issues .

We have Bartlett’s come out every year to inspect our trees and advise us on keeping them healthy. They are knowledgeable, competent, hardworking and easy to communicate with. They are arborists so they can diagnose and treat trees for borers or disease.

I have had at least a 3-4 yr nightmare with a beautiful river birch in my front yard. Kyle has walked me thru this until I was ready to let the tree meet its maker. He has answered all questions regarding remove and not to grind stump until the 2nd yr to decrease sprouts from surface roots. I appreciate the time and understanding he's given me because I really wanted this tree to stay but he also knew that if I wanted to age in place, continue to garden and stop paying for care for this tree that won't stop the severe invasion of its roots on my property. T.C and Travis came to my home in Ford’s Colony to perform the annual pruning of ornamental and deciduous trees. They are both certified arborists and did an excellent job. I highly recommend Bartlett Tree Experts as they always have highly trained staff. They provide me with year round service for all my evergreen, deciduous and ornamental trees and shrubs.

Our huge "legacy elm" had a dead branch over our garage, and is close to the house, representing a signficant threat. Kyle checked the work, quoted the job and other recommendations, gave him the go-ahead. The dead branch was removed, cables installed high up in the branches over the house. That was last September (2025) and we have slept much more comfortably, thorugh the windstorms and ice storms. HIGHLY recommend Bartlett!!

We were pleased to have Bartlett Tree Experts service our trees recently. Andrew Koenig provided the initial consultation and discussed with us the trees that needed to be pruned and vines removed. On the day of the project, the crew from Bartlett arrived promptly. John Paul, Austin and Tyler were very efficient, professional and courteous. They are skilled climbers and are very safe. They did an excellent job of pruning the trees, removing the vines and clearing the debris.
We would highly recommend Bartlett Tree Experts for any type of tree service.

VERY SHADY CONTRACTOR THEY WILL TEAR WHATEVER UP TO CHARGE EVEN IF IT IS NOT NEEDED WE HAVE HAD THEM TRY TO RESTORE OUR PROPERTY BUT THE CREW WITH THE lead LADY IS JUST DISGUSTING , NO PRIDE OF OTHERS & just cussing along like a sailor in somebody’s house & at work ! THE OWNER DOESN’T TALK TO HIS “BOYS”/ “BOY” As He Addresses his Workers .IF YOU WANT CROOKED WRONG WORK GO HERE ! THEY CARE MORE ABOUT MAKING POINTS THEN TAKING CARE OF THEIR PEOPLE ITS SAD AND THEY DESERVE BETTER FROM THE STORIES TOLD.

3/27/17... I gave them a 1 star because there was nothing less to give. I missed 2 days of work because they never showed up and I did not get a courtesy phone call either.

Unfortunately, they state on their website: "Restoring more than just property... Restoring life and memories". The only restoring I'm going to need is the two days of missed work and the time I wasted.
