My recent service from Sixpenny Chimney Sweeps was excellent. Dennis did an outstanding job cleaning my dryer vent. He was very careful in moving my dryer and picked up any debris left behind. He explained to me what he was doing and was very patient and helpful answering my questions. Dennis was very professional, pleasant and provided excellent customer service. I highly recommend Sixpenny Chimney Sweeps.

We highly recommend. Dennis was exceptional and meticulous in his work staying late to ensure all was done correctly- resulting in a great outcome in repairing and updating our chimneys. This job was more difficult then planned but Dennis persevered without hesitation to our complete satisfaction.

We found Sixpenny through a neighborhood group when we had a serious situation with our dryer vent a few years ago. First, Troy came out for what we thought would be a routine cleaning. It turned into something much bigger, but the Sixpenny team got it fixed! Fast forward to today...Troy has come out the last two years to thankfully just do routine service. He always takes great care with both our indoor and outdoor space. I called today to make an appointment and was so surprised he was able to come the same day. He’s fabulous!

I had an excellent experience with Sixpenny Chimney Sweep. A technician came to my house this week to repair a fireplace that hasn't been working in several years. He did a fantastic job from start to finish. Geraldo was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything to me while completing the repair. The quality of work exceeded my expectations and the fireplace works like new. I now have ambiance back in my living room and didn't realize how much I truly missed having a working fireplace! I highly recommend this service to anyone looking for any type of chimney repair. I will recommend them to all my family and friends!

We had Six Penny install a U39 gas stove/fireplace. They did an excellent job. The county inspector even commented what an excellent installation it was.

Was super respectful of us being in the house as we work from home in terms of adjusting where/when he worked. When he left it was immaculate like he was never there. My family has been using Sixpenny services for over a year and we are SO happy with their work!! They completely redid the exterior of our stone chimney last year. They were extremely professional, easy to work with, and did a fantastic job! They have cleaned the inside of our chimney a few times, and they have even cleaned out our gutters. Every time they have done work for us, we are so impressed with their level of commitment to a job well done. Highly recommend!! I really liked this company the first time they came out to inspect and clean our chimney. They noted that it needed waterproofing, and we scheduled that work as well.

The second time everything seemed fine, and the work was completed quickly. But the musty odor that had led us to contacting them in the first place remained. I emailed the office and asked if they thought we needed another cleaning, which I would have happily paid for. They said a tech would contact me, but this never happened.

Since I couldn’t get an answer, we had our general contractor, who has done a lot of excellent work for our outdated home, come by to inspect. He told us that the brick work was done well, but the wrong chimney cap was installed, which was causing water to pour in and accounted for the smell. He cleaned the top of the chimney for a temporary fix while I contacted the company.

I emailed Sixpenny again, this time with a video of the water coming in from the cap. They again did not respond, so I’ve given up getting them to fix their mistake and will pay for someone else to do it. I’m disappointed because they were really pleasant to deal with, made scheduling easy, and mostly did great work. But not even responding to multiple attempts to contact them is not professional.

After contacting multiple companies (who missed booked appointments or were ill equipped for my homes’s build) to handle issues with dryer and dryer vent, I was able to book Sixpenny Chimney Sweeps. They arrived promptly and did an amazing job and got my dryer working in no time. Their professionalism, expertise, and work product speaks volume to the way the company is ran. I would recommend their service for all your dryer and HVAC needs. Good job guys!

The technicians were very good and knowledgeable and cleaned our dryer vent and replaced the vent tubing with proper material.

We hired Sixpenny to install a stainless steel liner in our woodstove chimney. They showed up on time, did a great job, and cleaned up well.

Dennis was great! Very curteous and detail-oriented. He really took his time doing the chimney inspection, including a video inspection of the flue and getting on my roof to examine the crown. He patiently answered all of my questions (and I asked a lot!). I feel like I have a much better understanding of my chimney's condition, work that needs to be done in the future, and why. Exactly what I was hoping for. Sixpenny main office staff, including Danessa, were also very friendly. Plus their pricing is competitive. Highly recommended and will be calling them again. Sixpenny repointed the mortar on our front steps and fixed pavers on the walkway that had sunk. They were great to work with. Highly recommend. Dennis did a thorough inspection of the chimney and was transparent with the quote, detailing each step of the process and what needed to be fixed. You knew clearly everything you were paying for. It was also a competitive and reasonable price for a lot of work (chimney crown repair, brick replacement, shoulder repair, and masonry repair-grind out and tuck point). Wow great service. It turns out in my new condo I have a ventless dryer which takes more maintenance on my part than a vented one. Troy walked me through it and helped figure out what is going on. I cannot praise Troy or Six Penny/ Briggs enough. Below is a photo of a satisfied customer.

Sixpenny did a fabulous job updating my chimney and fireplace, repairing the chimney masonry and replacing the flue. This is by nature a dusty, dirty job, but they managed to control the dust and dirt a minimum. They also remodeled my old, painted brick fireplace with ledger, replaced the hearth with marble tile, and installed a new hardwood mantle with beautiful results. I am delighted with all!

My AC stopped working in the middle of summer. Other HVAC companies wouldn’t be able to come out for several days. Briggs came same day. Technician John was so pleasant and extremely professional. He found the issues and was able to provide an immediate fix that same day with some non-critical follow-ups over the next few weeks. He was very honest and there was no pressure to sell me an expensive new HVAC system. John came to each appointment on time and explained what needed to be done. It’s very refreshing to work with someone I can trust. I will definitely use Briggs for all my HVAC needs and specifically request John.

This time, Dennis not only cleaned my dryer vents quickly and efficiently and showed me photos and air flow readings, but also recommended a chimney inspection and explained thoroughly, but without any pressure, why I might want to perform one and what the risks of neglecting chimney maintenance are. Thoroughly professional and helpful.

Contacted Sixpenny to service my gas logs. I had not even turned them on in 3 years maybe 4. I was ready for them to say I needed to replace them. The tech, Hiraldi, was able to clean them up. He had the logs running like new. Communication from the office was terrific. I was surprised to hear they also do HVAC work, I might try them this winter when it is time to service my unit and turn on the heat. Very good experience working with Sixpenny!
