Dennis from Sixpenny did an excellent job cleaning and inspecting our fireplace. He was calm, courteous, professional and walked me through photos showing the before and after. I 100% recommend him for fireplace cleaning/inspections. The front office staff are also very friendly and courteous.

We did a major repair job with Sixpenny last year: 3 days of work, 4 stories of scaffolding, ~30 rows of brick repointing, new chimney liner, new crown, new damper. Ever since, we've been enjoying fires every week in the cooler weather.

We had some concerns after the work was done when we had smoke coming out of the fireplace even with the damper opened, so Sixpenny sent a couple of technicians to check out the fireplace, which we appreciated. They confirmed everything was in working order and gave us some tips to avoid the issue, which did the trick.

Dennis came out right on time and the office communicated well. He did an awesome job cleaning the unit (providing me pictures and videos) and took the time to inspect other areas too that needed repairs. He provided me a quote for repairs and was very courteous at all times. Would definitely recommend this company.

We have our wood stove cleaned and inspected every September by Six Penny Chimney Sweeps. We are fortunate enough to have Dennis as the Six Penny technician for the last couple of years. Dennis is very pleasant, thorough, knowledgeable and professional. It was nice to see the teamwork between Dennis and Carlos servicing our wood stove. There was not a speck of dust left inside after their cleaning was complete. We like Six Penny so much that we recommended them to our new neighbor.

Very impressed with the thoroughness that Maria initiated, she is very detail oriented. I am over the moon to find my patio door glass was cleaned inside and out! My dog smudges are gone! Never had a maid willing to clean the glass, and didn’t have to ask! Great job.

Was able to schedule a visit a few days out, and they did a great job of cleaning my firebox and chimney. Noted a few hairline cracks in my refractory panels and incorrectly told me it was a safety issue, so take their follow up findings with a grain of salt.

Needed years of lint buildup removed from our dryer vent. Instead of having acess to our dryer vent available from the side of the house, our access was located on the roof. Edwin and Christian were careful to determine its exact location and then went through great effort to remove the lint buildup and give us a safe, clean dryer vent hose. They also cleaned our HVAC vents to help keep our home bacteria free. Edwin and Christian were polite and professional. We will recommend them to anyone needing this service.

Superb work. Customer service is their top priority. Relined my chimney and restored it to new condition. Employees are all craftsmen; masonry work was highest quality. Provided detailed report with photos along with corrective measures. Pricing was in line with market rates. Courteous, personable, no-nonsense; arrived as scheduled. Highly recommend this company. This was the first year using Sixpenny Chimney Sweep for my wood burning fireplace. I was a regular customer of Mr. Dunn of Dunn's Chimney Sweep until his passing year before last. Sixpenny was recommended by another of Mr. Dunn's customers. I was impressed by the job Sixpenny did from start to finish. Danessa was friendly and knowledgeable on the phone and able to get me on schedule within 2 weeks of calling. There was a delay in my appointment time but I was notified of the delay and was given a call when chimney tech was en route. Dennis arrived in uniform, with ID and was extremely polite, friendly and knowledgeable in answering my many questions. He did an extremely thorough job with the sweep and inspection all while protecting my carpets, furniture, and fireplace surround. The camera inspection was great allowing me to see inside my chimney top to bottom. I was also pleased that Sixpenny did an external chimney inspection on the roof. Dennis found some gaps in the sealant on the storm collar and was able to show me the areas of concern with photos he took and provided an estimate to reseal the areas. The service report was very detailed and included many photos of the interior and exterior of the chimney. The price for the service was a little more than I previously paid for an annual sweep but the video, photos, and exterior inspection made it well worth the price difference. I plan to schedule the suggested repair and will definitely use Sixpenny again next year for an annual sweep.

Called Sixpenny Chimney Sweeps to clear out bird nests(2) in our furnace flue as our furnace didn’t start. They were able to send out Carlos and Edward on a short notice. They were able to clear out the nests from the flue via the attic pretty quickly. They also cleaned the dryer vent when they were here. The vent was full of several years of accumulated lint and despite being difficult to access from the inside they were able to clean both from inside and outside. They did a fantastic job cleaning up and they were very friendly, efficient and professional. The cost was somewhat on the high side but probably reasonable considering they came out on short notice. We can absolutely recommend Sixpenny Chimney Sweeps and will use them again in the future. Thanks Carlos and Edward for a job well done!

After looking around and requesting quotes from a number of businesses, I spoke with Patty, SixPenny’s Outreach Coordinator, over the phone, and was very impressed not only with her professionalism, but also her sincerity, generosity/kindness, and sense of humor! Patty spent a good amount of time on the phone patiently explaining everything to me, from the company’s family-centeredness, to the available and recommended services, as well as pricing and the folks she recommended for the cleaning. Patty was very knowledgeable and I feel confident about using SixPenny (and giving Patty a call) for any future cleaning job!

I called and spoke with Carol on Saturday morning, January 24, 2026 on the eve of a major snowstorm and inclement weather conditions. First of all, Carol was straight up WONDERFUL! She was very nice, polite and understood my request to have my gas fireplace cleaned and serviced, same day! She informed me that she would put me on a service list and did not for one moment tell me that I could not be serviced. Anyway, she said jobs permitting, that Geraldo would be my servicing technician, and others called him "Mr. Wonderful" for his outstanding service. Not only did Carol deliver, within 3 hours of my call, I was serviced and Geraldo did an outstanding job! Not only did he clean and service my gas fireplace, but he also ensured to explain everything from start to finish and walked me through the entire process from start to finish on how to properly light the pilot and ignite the fireplace. He asked me numerous times if I had additional questions and he was very knowledgeable in his responses. I would no doubt call them again if I need any service in HVAC, or any other services they provide. TOP NOTCH SERVICE, and they treat customers to way we deserve to be treated. Would award ten stars if I could! When I am dealing with a company for any sort of repair or service, trust is my first issue. The folks who handle the phones at Sixpenny are so warm, friendly, and helpful, they create a feeling of trust and integrity right away. And Mr. Marvelous, the technician who rightly deserves that description,completes the trust one feels in the company. The prices are very fair, especially since if a problem develops, a technician is quickly dispatched to fix it. And one is informed when the technician will arrive. Everything and everyone is totally professional. I am so grateful to have discovered this company and have already scheduled my HVAC spring inspection.
