I'm just happy to be home again! There is not one thing that anyone can say that is negative about Ken Matthews! The best staff, everyone is always helpful. The best part is that all of the employees are knowledgeable in just about every area of the business. Super best part, if they don't have an answer for you, they'll ask fellow employees who are able to get the answers you're looking for. I've got to give everyone there a big round of applause!

They are getting ready for spring planting season. Have a beautiful assortment of various varieties of magnolia trees that are gorgeous!

Christmas trees are expensive but the people are nice.

Didn't even know this place existed until a friend mentioned it to me! Huge selection of plants, including some succulents and cacti, and shrubs and trees as well. Staff was so friendly and asked multiple times if we needed anything. Very helpful identifying a plant that lost its little ID card. Great prices as well. I'll be coming back in the future 👍🏻

Nice garden center. Some of the plants were pretty, some not so much. I have to say they are overpriced though. We had a $75.00 gift card, bought 3 plants and still owed them money...

We have been customers of Ken Matthews ever since we moved here 12 years ago. Great plants and products. Great service. Very knowledgeable staff who have given us great tips on plant selection and care. Ken himself redesigned and redid the landscaping in front of our house last year. We are very happy with the result.

This is a nice little garden center. Has the basics and probably has a decent selection of annuals and perennials in the spring. Kind of sparse in late August. Prices kind of high compared to back home in Central PA. And what is with the lack of nurseries in this area? I now live in Williamsburg and there is one nursery with shrubs and trees. Matthews had a modest number of both. But I would have expected more leading into the fall planting season.

The employees are incredibly super helpful! The sweet lady answered every single million question I asked her about the plants I was interested in, she was super patient and kind and extremely knowledgeable!
I had to go to Lowe's the other day and look at plants and compared to a garden center like that, can Matthews is very organized with types of plants, all their plants are good quality, and their employees are friendly and helpful!

For starters the customer service here is phenomenal. Everybody who's there is pretty darn knowledgeable about their inventory, and on the occasion they have somebody new who's not an expert yet, you can see they are getting great training. The inventory is always great, their plants are much healthier and well tended then what you'd see at a place like Lowe's. Now the prices are higher, but if you just want to pay for one plant that will live as long as it's supposed to live versus buying something at Lowe's that will only have a half life before you have to replace it, it actually is cheaper in the long run to buy healthier plants for a little more money. Danielle in particular is an encyclopedia on all plants and gardening related information. She gave me expert guidance on setting up my first garden last year. When they do have sales, you can get some really great deals :-) I strongly recommend them!

Very charming! I actually came upon this place by chance. I was on my way to a different garden center and drove past Ken Matthews, but quickly made a u-turn! This Garden Center is smaller than most, so you won't find a huge selection, but it's absolutely beautiful and worth the visit. Everything is very well cared for, the staff is attentive and friendly. My only disappointment was the pricing was a little higher than expected.

Lots of great selection of wonderful looking plants and flowers! We were excited to visit the garden center and spent too much money because we kept finding things that we "had" to have. There were a few garden foods/amendments that we were looking for they didn't have....so if you are going specifically for those you may want to call first. I was also looking for flower seeds in particular, and they really didn't have a big selection. I guess I am an oddball who really enjoys growing from seed and its a lot cheaper than buying established plants. That said, I can't argue that the amount of stock they had overall was lacking in the store in any way and every associate was helpful and friendly. I will definitely go back. Especially for established plants.

Edit 3/2023: I did a landscaping project with Heather and the crew and have been very satisfied with the entire process and product. Easy to recommend KM for home landscaping projects!

Very good selection of plants and all were very healthy. Prices were a little above average but the salespeople were well trained and courteous. This is a great business that's worth your patronage!

I am not a gardener. I know very little about plants. But I want my yard to look like a master gardener lives there. Ken Matthews has helped me achieve the goal of having beautiful flower beds. They helped me pick the right plants for sun and shade. The prices are fair and the quality of plants has been excellent.

5 stars for Heather and her team at Ken Matthews Garden Center. We spent too much money on so-called 'landscapers' who were just really 'mow and blow' guys. I happened to stop at Ken Matthews GC and got great advice so we hired them to re-do the landscaping. Very pleased with their approach and their work. They will be doing another phase after the first of the year. We highly recommend them.

I visited this place for the first time yesterday. Before I went, I some questions via FB messenger and the staff was super responsive and helpful. It's a beautiful local and family owned nursery. Lots of plants and well kept. I will definitely be back! My red banana tree is gorgeous!

Love this place been all over to find me a canadian red maple and they where the only place I seen one so I bought it so excite to get it planted in my backyard and what it grow. Always nice to have a part of home with me.

Loved it! Lots of plants and pots. Very relaxing atmosphere. Feels like you're walking through a landscaped garden instead of a big box store. Friendly staff.
