The best experience I've ever had. With any company i've used for property upgrades. They had great work ethic and even better customer service. Will definitely be using them for any future landscaping projects. 5 star company

We hired Hampton Roads Irrigation and Landscape to do a large hardscape project for our new home - essentially extending the covered patio of our house into an outdoor paver area, requiring the building of a retention wall. Everything about the project was expertly handled, from our initial consultation with Jason, who worked diligently to come up with a plan to construct our new patio in accordance with our neighborhood's Architectural Design Committee (with which he was familiar), to the actual building of the patio and retaining wall necessary to hold it all together. The construction was done by a group of craftsmen, and I don't use that term lightly. These men, led by their crew chief Paco, worked dilligently and meticulously to ensure that the project was done right - making sure that we were satisfied with the progress of their work every step of the day. We were absolutely thrilled with the finished product and would recommend HR Irrigation and Landscaping to anyone. We would never again use anyone else.

We had several projects, including sprinkler installation, hardscaping, landscaping and several significant drainage solutions. HR Irrigation spent a lot of time with us to understand our needs and goals and provided solutions that are both beautiful and functional. They were very responsive throughout the process to answer our questions, modify the plan when we changed our mind, and even came back to make adjustments when we needed a bit more drainage in a specific area. We are very pleased with the results!

Bert and his crew were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Suggestions made to get the most value for our project were most appreciated and we never felt that we were being sold anything that was not necessary, corners were cut, or that our project was not a priority. We can not recommend them enough!

On 23 Dec I found a leak in my system. My old irrigation company was already closed for the holidays and had no emergency repair backup plan. I contacted Hampton Roads Irrigation and they immediately came out and identified the pipe leak under my sidewalk. Within three hours of arrival they replaced the pipes and ran a pressure test saving me at least another two weeks of leaking pipes before my original company would be back in the office. As a result of their impressive performance I dropped my former company and signed up with Hampton Roads Irrigation and Landscape.

Today Hampton Roads Irrigation & Landscape installed Bermuda Tiffway 419 Sod in my backyard to match the existing. I have watched other companies install the same sod in my neighborhood. Compared to those other companies, I had the joy of watching Matt and his team install the sod in my yard with special care. Every piece was un-rolled and placed in position with care. They took their time and cleaned up as they worked. I am very satisfied with this entire process. Micah the PM / Sales Rep was very professional and easy to work with.

After gathering several quotes from various landscaping companies to get a handle on the drainage issues at our house, we selected Hampton Roads Irrigation & Landscape, and we're glad we did. Here's why:

- They were the only business to include laying down sod after grading the trouble areas
- Their pricing was competitive (not the cheapest, not the most expensive)
- They got the job scheduled and completed within a few weeks, not months (unlike another company, whose earliest start date was in June/July)
- Some of the dirt they excavated was able to be used elsewhere to help level out some of the low spots in our yard
- They were able to work with our payment timeline

Bert came out, listened to what we needed, gave us his recommendation, and got a quote back to me quickly. Once scheduled, his team arrived on time and wasted no time. All in all, for the price we paid, we're happy with the work.

So why four stars, instead of five? We do wish a little more care had been taken with some elements of the job, but that may be more on the laborers than the company.

For example, the weed barrier fabric they used doesn't quite fully extend to/under the aluminum edging, so grass and weeds are growing through (and potentially under) the fabric. Additionally, while most of the river rocks that were used came "new", the ones on the side of the house were recycled from an existing rock bed that we had updated. Many of these rocks were spread, but not necessarily leveled. Minor "attention to detail" things that I initially hadn't noticed, but am noticing now.

Still, if you're looking for good drainage solutions and competitive pricing, I think Hampton Roads Irrigation & Landscape is a great option. They seem to be good, honest people and I'm not sure you can ask for more than that these days.

From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, my experience with Hampton Roads Irrigation & Landscape was nothing short of exceptional. Great communication throughout. Grounds crew, administrative office and management were all top notch. Installed various drainage systems to extend downspouts underground to drainage ditch. Highly recommend.

Just had Jason and JD put in a new patio and fire pit. These guys were a joy to work with. Jason was always available for questions and JD was a great foreman on the job. They also installed our irrigation system and did exactly what we asked. Highly recommended.

What an awesome experience, had a drainage issue with our side yard, made an appointment and had Micah come out for the quote. Took about 30-45 minutes all in all for measuring and everything, my wife and I liked the prices ng and decided to go ahead with the project. They were back out here about 2 weeks later and did a fantastic job! We got almost 100FT French drain with gravel on top, installed in an afternoon. They on top of telling us updates and also regraded the area we were having a problem with, put down grass seed and now (I believe it's been about a month) looks like no one even dug up anything. It has made a WORLD of difference for our homes moisture problems. 100% would recommend going with these guys if you can, good pricing, friendly people, and a local company.

This company is the worst

Called on a Monday was told I would get a call Wednesday or Thursday. Thursday comes with no call so I call again. Straight to voice mail. Unreliable and unresponsive.

Saw you guys in the work truck saw some of them were smoking weed I could smell it very unprofessional...saw the driver has red beard joining along with them hope you guys do something about this

Great Company! Great People. The guys do such a wonderful job. Last year they ordered beautiful flowers for my yard. ( I live in an area that is ovee run with deer) I wanted to incorporate a species of plant that we're deer resistant. Mark knew just what to order for me. My beds were gorgeous and not one plant was damaged or harmed in any way. Great job!!!!

We used Jesse's lawn service for the last couple of years. They have always done a great job maintaining our lawn. This year due to finances we couldn't hire them full-time. But due to alot going on this week we weren't able to mow our lawn so I called Jesse and told him of my situation and he had his crew here within the hour. They are friendly, professional and do a great job. I know I can depend on them when I need them. thank you Jesse and team.
