My furnace was malfunctioning on Super Bowl Sunday and I was having issues getting anyone to come out and help me. I called Lawrence who came out and fixed things without hesitation and quickly. Lawrence is the man! A few years ago, my nest thermostat was acting up on Super Bowl Sunday and he was the only one who was willing to come and fix it same day. Not only that, he fixed it without any crazy emergency fee!

Recently, the compressor in my AC went out and everyone else wanted to charge me a crazy amount to get it fixed or to get the whole unit replaced. I decided to go with Lawrence's quote since it was the most reasonable and because he was the only one who showed and explained to me how he arrived at why my AC unit was having issues (someone previously used ChatGPT and couldn't tell me anything outside of it). Lawrence was able to replace everything within a good time frame and there was no hassle.

First of all, let me preface my review by stating that our house is 36 years old, formerly heated by Cadet wall heaters, never had A/C before, with an unfinished addition in progress on the back half. In other words, a unique challenge.
They had to completely retrofit the original house, along with incorporate the system for the addition. We had them install an outdoor unit heat pump with A/C, an indoor unit (inside the garage) furnace/air handler, remote controlled thermostat, cold air return, all new ducting (which they painstakingly routed through the scissor trusses), vents, grill covers, and even a new hot water tank with its own integrated heat pump. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!
Being able to have consistent, even heating/cooling throughout is quite the luxury. No more regulating the temperature by opening/closing windows, adjusting fans, and running around like a thermal choreographer. Their workmanship was top-notch and professional, they showed up on time, were very courteous, they maneuvered around numerous obstacles inherent with a remodel, and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day (something of a rarity these days). Overall, a 10 out of 10!!! I would highly recommend this company.👍👍

I highly recommend Active heating and cooling. I was out of town when the furnace in my airbnb broke. They came out and replaced my furnace and it was so easy. Thank you. They also put a carbon monoxide detector in at no charge. I have had anyone recommend that before.

Had them install a refrigerant line set. They set a timely evaluation appointment, negotiated a fair price for the work, and got to work on the spot. Were able to problem solve conflicting and incomplete documentation for the heat pump and configure the thermostat to communicate with my equipment. I think I found my HVAC people.

We recently had Active Heating & Cooling install a two-head Daikin mini-split system in our home, and are thrilled with the result. From start to finish the process was smooth and professional. It was refreshing to deal with a family-owned business that provided professional service at an exceptionally reasonable price. Active Cooling and Heating operated by Andrea and Bernard, along with their 18-year-old son, Tyrus, is such a business.

Before finding Active, we had given up on installing a duel-zone mini split system in a rental property after spending considerable time and effort getting four competing quotes that could be considered overpriced at best, or gouging at worst. These other companies want to sell the equipment they install and are unwilling to install equipment purchased separately, even if it is the same brand as the what they sell.

Active was willing to install equipment we purchased separately at a reasonable price for labor and installation supplies at cost. They were familiar with the brand we purchased. Installation went well. They returned to the property a couple of weeks later, at no additional charge, to correct a minor problem.

Don't hesitate to consider Active Cooling and Heating for any HVAC work you need.
