Highly recommend! Amazing service again! Griffis came out on snow day and found issue for zero charge as a follow up to a call a week ago where fuse was replaced. They found the issue this time and didn’t charge us. Very grateful to be warm again and very impressed with their amazing service.

It is so refreshing to find a HONEST and RELIABLE company nowadays. We were put on the schedule that same day when we called. Very courteous and professional employees all around. Our heat pump stopped working just when the temps were really cold outside.
James came out and answered ALL our questions and explained everything to us in detail. (He is definitely very knowledgeable and knows what he is doing.) No up-selling us stuff we didn't need. The rates are very reasonable too. We highly recommend this company to everyone. Customer Service is their #1 priority

Prior to contacting Griffis Heating, Inc., we had multiple other companies take a look at our A.C. unit. Every one of them gave us a different diagnosis and all came to the conclusion that fixing it would cost almost as much as replacing the entire unit, which would have cost five or six thousand dollars. Thank goodness we decided to ask Griffis as well. Our technician, James was friendly and courteous, and diagnosed in just a couple of minutes that we just needed to replace a part. In minutes we had nice, cool air pumping into the house. His honesty meant a lot to us since we know how easy it is to just go for the big sale. Well, guess who we'll be calling when it is time to replace the unit. Thank you Griffis!

What a GREAT experience. My tech arrived early, and was super courteous. He performed his work faster than expected, did a little extra work in the attic to address an insulation issue he spotted, and gave me some great practical guidance on maintenance. This is one of the few times when I almost hope that the furnace will need attention because he was so professional and pleasant. Keep up the great work!

Highly recommend! Got multiple quotes to replace our dead gas furnace and they won on price. Even better, Jeff listened to what I wanted and didn't try to hard sell. Installer arrived on time, did a great job with the install and explained the new filter process and finishing the permitting. Final cost was the estimated cost. Couldn't be happier with them.

My experience with Griffis Heating was outstanding. We just moved into our house 6 months ago. When the heating season began, we found that the furnace was leaking condensate. I contacted Griffis and spoke with Brienne (the owner) about scheduling a checkup. She (rightly) urged me to have a diagnostic visit. Bud was promptly scheduled. His examination revealed damage - and he quoted a repair cost that was 25% the cost of a new furnace. We discussed alternatives and I concluded that I would rather replace the 18 year old furnace than repair it. He was excellent at explaining what he had found and discussing options. Furthermore, the (18 yr old) water heater was installed such that the furnace blocked it into a corner. Thus I chose to replace the water heater, since the furnace replacement would "unblock" it. They sent Jeff out to prepare estimates for this work. He presented alternatives very thoroughly, patiently answering my many questions. In the end he prepared estimates for 5 alternative furnaces with a variety of costs and capabilities, plus a water heater estimate. Throughout this process, there was no pressure to take any particular approach. In fact, both Jeff and Brienne suggested lower cost approaches (e.g. repair rather than replace the furnace, defer water heater replacement). I really appreciated their candor and honestly. In the end we elected to replace both the furnace and water heater, and Brienne negotiated a very fair price. Mike and Jeff performed the installation a few days later and did an impressive job. The new water heater was installed a few feet away in a much less confined space. Again, both of them answered my many questions patiently and thoroughly. Plus, they were very careful to treat our house to avoid making a mess. In the end we have a new furnace and water heater that work perfectly. I think the fact that they are a family run business makes all the difference in the world. I give them my highest recommendation and will happily continue to use their services.

Griffis is the best. We bought a new heat pump from them 2 years ago, but had regular trouble with it. It came to a head this year when it just quit heating. After much work on their part, which was warranteed, they went back to the original purchase and realized they had sold us a unit that was incompatible with the air handler we had. Given that the old pump was now obsolete and none of the heat pumps were compatible with the old air handler, they replace the pump with an upgraded version AND the air handler to something compatible, all at their expense!! You will never find a more honest and reliable vendor. Go with Griffis!

I think the fact that this company is family owned makes ALL THE WORLD of difference! When my AC went out on the hottest week of the year thus far, Brie at Griffis Heating Inc., helped us troubleshoot the issue first, THEN booked us an appointment (VERY quickly!) and when we needed to replace a part, she was on it with finding the best price and getting it scheduled for install. The communication was incredible. Mike, the technician was professional and quick. I cannot recommend this company enough for all your heating and AC needs. Essential sent out two team members. They were here on time and worked very hard to remove and replace my 33 year old gas furnace. They both were very friendly and hard working! I had contacted 3 other HVAC companies before. They all treated me like I was an autopen. Essential H&A responded right away. Came out on schedule. The rep and all the technicians were nice people. Friendly and accommodating, never even came close to implying that I was an idiot. I've only been using the new furnace for an hour but it seems to work great. I would have preferred that they install a "non-smart" thermostat, but I didn't speak up soon enough (not their fault -- mine). i have nothing negative to say. If I decide to get an AC in the future, it will be with Essential H&A.

We had an excellent experience from start to finish with Essential Heating and Air. Our great experience began with an inquiry for a quote with David, who thoroughly assessed our needs for our mid-century home, gave us detailed information and then set up a super fast installation. He was very quick to respond via text/phone calls after we signed the contract to answer questions and guide us in the installation process. Next, the HVAC/AC installers (Vadim and Brian) and the electrician, (Fred) showed up on time, all took painstaking care to not make a mess (or leave a mess) and very efficiently removed our old furnace and installed a new furnace and AC unit. They were very patient with our questions and showed us some features of our new system before they left. We are so glad we upgraded our furnace and added AC and we would definitely recommend Essential Heating and Air for the value offered (installed in slow season) and for their friendly, thorough professional service.

Essential heating added a new heat pump to our furnace. The installation took some fairly involved pipe routing outdoors and duct changes indoors, which turned out beautiful. Even the bit of drywall cutting and patching they had to do was clean and precise, expert work. And speaking of clean, they left the house spotless. I wholeheartedly recommend this company without hesitation!

Great experience with Essential! We had issues with our furnace/heat-pump running incorrectly. Cameron was our service tech. He was very professional and explained our problems clearly. He got it fixed quickly and gave great advice and instruction on how to run it properly. We will be choosing Essential again for all of our HVAC needs!

I am very impressed and pleased with the entire experience from start to finish. I got high quality equipment professionally installed at a fair price. The initial contact with Will had me sold with the company. He's a pro, he answered all my questions and didn't try to up-sell me anything I didn't need or want. The install only took 1 1/2 days. The install guys came fully prepared and on time. Everyone was courteous, pleasant, and very respectful. They explained the process and answered all my questions.
